Charming 3 year young, 3 bedroom cape with large kitchen and private backyard/patio that abuts conservation. Located at 40 Bearses By Way, a dead end street just off Main Street in quaint Chatham village. Walk to shops and restaurants. Oyster Pond beach (0.2 mile). 1 min walk to Chatham "RAW" bar and Vining's Bistro. Chatham Squire a 7 min walk. Lighthouse Beach a 15 min walk. We also own a 3 bedroom (39 Bearses) which is located across the lane so both cottages can be rented for larger gatherings in a compound setting. Both houses are located at the end of a dead end street so there is no traffic. This is a tiny and quiet lane in the center of town.

40 Bearses 2016 Summer Rate: $4300 per week. June/September: $3300 per week. Winter/Spring Rate: $2700 per week . Check rate sheet.

Call for Thanksgiving and Christmas New Year's Rates

Sat to Sat, 7 night minimum stay during June/summer/September season.

3 day rentals may be available Spring, Fall, Winter seasons..Need 2 week notice and must call to confirm

Deposit 50% to confirm - balance due 45 days prior to arrival.

About Philip Merola

I have been coming to Chatham for 40 years. I took over my parents cottage in 2001 and Cheryl and I purchased the cottage next to it in 1999. A developer built single family homes on the street and it made sense to tear the old cottages down and build new homes since we could leverage the developer's construction team. So we have two beautiful cottages, with all the kodern amenities, located in the center of Chatham

Great house in a great location

I love staying at the Merola's Bearses Byway rentals - have stayed 3 years in a row (2 yrs of them at 39 Bearses). Both rentals are nicely appointed - the owners (Phil and Cheryl) take pride in personally maintaining their rental homes and have thought through all comforts of a great home - including any tech needs you might have (Sonos speakers throughout :-) . The location is perfect - Oyster Pond is a quick walk out back and can been seen from the terrace (great for al fresco dining). You're right off the Main street in Chatham but tucked far enough back for privacy. You can walk to most things including Chatham light beach and the Nickerson Fish Pier. Pretty much perfect!

Perfect Location & King Bedroom!

We were in Chatham for a nice long weekend for a friend's wedding. Location and a King bedroom were our top priorities. Phil and Cheryl's home was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Their home is beautiful - brand new and immaculate! The house is tucked away right off of Main Street at the end of a quiet dead end street and is just steps away from shops and restaurants. The house is very spacious with lots of windows that let in plenty of light and a large kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need. The master bedroom is HUGE with a King bed, large bathroom with rain shower, and plenty of closet space. The 3.5 bathrooms were very convenient, allowing all 6 of us adults to get ready easily. There is a deck and patio outside where we could sit and relax and enjoy the nice fall weather. Phil is extremely nice and accommodating. He checked in with us on our arrival and departure to make sure all of our needs were being met. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Chatham!

Everything you need for a perfect stay!

While looking for a house for a long weekend, location was #1 on our list. Once we found 40 Bearses, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. The location was absolutely wonderful! You can park the car and not even use it the entire trip! Downtown Chatham is quintessential Cape Cod. And The Squire and Red Nun are musts for some nighttime fun--and within walking distance!

The house itself was absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean. The pictures don't even do it justice! The patio and deck were the perfect places to unwind, the bedrooms were spacious and sunny, and the four bathrooms were very convenient.

Booking with Phil was a breeze! I could not recommend it enough! Thanks Phil for a wonderful weekend, we are looking forward to our next visit!
