Best wishes, Lorraine at tuscan-retreats NB - for future guests, whilst the property is very rural, there is a good restaurant within walking distance which is a bonus and also there are 2 towns within a 15 minute drive that have all the facilities you need (one with hypermarket) with places to eat on the way too. So, a good mix of a mountain stay but with facilities not too far too!

I have mailed you separately to ask re your comments re items that need to be refurbished so we can look at this when we next visit. Thank you, and best wishes Lorraine from tuscan-retreats NB - for future guests do note there are 2 restaurants within walking distance and a couple of others around a 10 min drive. Others are further afield - 20 mins or so. There is a bar/bakery in the village of Molazzana 4.5km away, but the hypermarket is as said just under 20 minutes by car. The village itself is under 20 mins equidistant from 2 towns - Castelnuovo (the capital of the Garfagnana) and Gallicano. It is definitely a mountain hideaway but there are plenty of places to visit for an afternoon or day out. We provide a local information pack but at present it is only available in English.
