The Villa Mirna country house offers room for 6 (7 with an extra bed and little extra cost) persons. It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room with fitted kitchen and open fire, a separate sitting, air-conditioning, satellite TV, radio, video and free WiFi internet. A large adjacent, covered terrace with barbecue has a 180° view of the Mirna valley and the hills. A heated private swimming pool measuring 9 x 4.6 m with an air geyser (creates gigantic bubbles) and a large sun terrace with separate adjacent toilet space make the facility complete.
The original Istrian house was fully renovated and provided with all modern comforts in 2012. It is tastefully furnished and has a fully fitted, modern indoor kitchen (dishwasher, combi-oven, induction cooker, espresso machine, …) and a utility space with washing machine. Each bedroom has its own character. The three bathrooms have a walk-in shower with massage sprayers.
There are parking facilities for a number of cars. The house was not built for renting but as a family home. It is rented if the owner is not using it.

Beautiful villa in idyllic setting

This is a stunning villa in a truly breathtaking rural setting. The views are even better than the pictures and being able to see them from the pool is fantastic. There is a huge amount of outside space with lots of different seating areas and options and a barbecue area. Inside, the villa is well equipped and was very clean. Bedding and towels were changed after our first week. The villa is in a tiny hamlet with a few houses. There are lovely walking routes direct from the villa. Shops and restaurants are in driving distance and most places you want to see in Istria are a maximum hour drive away.

Superb villa located a a peaceful area 10 minutes away from Buzet. Despite a few neighbours, you really feel totally isolated and away from the rigors of city life as it is not overlooked at all. We were lucky enough to be able to watch the Istrian wildlife, including some nesting swallows in the eaves.Excellent facilities, kitchen well equipped. 3 bathrooms in the main villa all with towels and toiletries provided. Spacious comfortable bedrooms with aircon (rarely needed as the house stayed very cool). Excellent area outside for dining, both in the sun and also shaded. Superb built in barbeque was well used. The pool area was the icing on the cake. Lovely pool with the best views of the hills. Toilet on the pool level was very convenient. Total relaxation!Arnela, the housekeeper, met us at the local Crodux petrol station before guiding us to the villa. She then did an orientation and gave us a tour of all the facilities, as well as some local recommendations.Communication was excellent throughout.Thank you Marie and Dirk for allowing us to spend a week in your beautiful home.

Prachtig huis, zeer verzorgd tot in detail

Totaal 2 weken geweest met gezin. Prachtige rustige ligging en van werkelijk alle gemakken voorzien (airco was wel heel fijn gezien de warmte in onze periode. We hebben ervan genoten, vele huizen eerder gehuurd maar dit was eigenlijk wel de beste/mooiste. Enig minpunt was de aanwezigheid van schorpioenen, zowel buiten maar ook binnen tot in de slaapkamers en dat gaf toch wel de nodige commotie al heeft zich verder geen incident voorgedaan

Wat betreft de schorpioenen: het is uitzonderlijk dat ze binnen in huis komen. Waarschijnlijk zochten ze vanwege het uitzonderlijk warme weer de koelte van het huis op. Deze spinachtigen zijn net zo normaal in zuidelijk gelegen streken als spinnen in Nederland. Ze worden slechts ongeveer drie centimeter lang en kunnen er misschien wat angstaanjagend uitzien, maar ze zijn vrij onschuldig. Ze hebben de neiging koele plekken op te zoeken en je zal ze dus zeker nooit op of in een bed aantreffen. Als je natuurlijk probeert ze met blote handen te vangen, kunnen ze wel een venijnige prik geven, vergelijkbaar met een wespensteek.

Ein absolutes Traumhaus!

Wir waren uns alle einig - das war das beste Ferienhaus, das wir je hatten. Super Ausstattung, alles war ausreichend vorhanden. Liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Eine großzügige, sogar zum Teil überdachte Terrasse, sodass man auch bei Regen gut draußen sitzen konnte. Und das absolute Highlight - der große Pool mit Blick auf nichts als Natur. Alles war einfach perfekt, von der reibungslosen Kommunikation mit den Besitzern bis hin zur Betreuung vor Ort. 10 Sterne Plus ... Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

When I saw the photos I was a little sceptical that it could be as beautiful as it seemed but it really is! The house and the scenery are simply stunning. The house had everything we needed and unlike a lot of holiday houses these days, it also had towels, herbs and spices, dishwasher powder etc. which is a small thing but when you don't yet know where the shops are makes a great difference. Marie, Dirk and Arnela were a pleasure to deal with and incredibly helpful when there was a slight problem with the internet. Thank you very much for letting us stay in your incredible house.

Heerlijk huis op fantastische plek met uitzicht

Vakantiehuis in een klein buurtschap bij Buzet. Heerlijk zwembad, mooie terrassen, fijn interieur. Zelfs bij 38 graden is het door de het slimme ontwerp van het huis met het overdekte terras en natuurlijk de airconditioning prima uit te houden. De uitrusting van het huis is van hoog niveau, alles is royaal aanwezig.

Wunderschönes Haus in sehr ruhiger Lage

Es war alles wunderbar, alles wie beschrieben und/oder noch schöner, hochwertige Ausstattung, die von den Mietern aber eindringlich betont auch gut behandelt werden soll, für uns eh selbstverständlich! Partygäste braucht das Haus nicht. Der Pool scheint auf Fotos oft immer größer, aber dieser ist es wirklich! Alle waren begeistert. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, aber genauso wollten wir es: fernab vom Rummel-Tourismus. Sind nur zweimal nach Novigrad ans Meer gefahren (40min) aber eigentlich jedes Mal froh gewesen, wenn wir wieder “zuhause” waren. Ruhe, Entspannung und Natur pur! In den Wäldern reihum tun sich einige schöne Pfade zum Wandern auf, teils über Stock und Stein und ein bisschen abenteuerlich verwachsen. Alles rundum für uns ein klasse Urlaub!

Wonderful place to relax

We just wanted to escape from the craziness and stress of 2020 somewhere hot, secluded, with a view and this villa was perfect. Spacious, cool inside, well equipped, lots of outdoor seating and eating areas, good size pool and the most gorgeous view. And a very friendly cat (who lives outside so is not an issue for anyone with allergies). A decent supermarket is a short drive away and there are various local restaurants within a 10-15 min drive for pizza and local cuisine, although we mostly cooked in using the outdoor grill. As we had been to Istria before, aside from a detour to Rovinj on our way back to Pula airport, we didn’t explore the region - we just loved relaxing at the villa. But it’s a good location for reaching east or west coast within an hour drive (through the beautiful Istrian hills) if you wanted to. We would highly recommend it and didn’t want to leave!

We spent a great week at this house in August 2018. Such a lovely, comfortable, clean house with lots of seating areas and glorious views. It was hot when we were there but the house has effective air-conditioning and outside there is plenty of shade if required. The pool is great too and a good size. The lane to the house is a little narrow, but it's short and well worth it! We loved this house!

Fantastic villa, fantastic location, fantastic holidays!

This is definitely the best and most complete house we’ve ever had. You really feel somebody lives in this house and that it was not only made to be rented. You feel the owners love their house and take good care of it. It was renovated with attention to every detail and is really well maintained. It is a little paradise, an escape from busy city life. Just the natural sound of birds and animals, or else complete quietness. An ideal place to de-stress. And while you are swimming you have an amazing view on the valley and surrounding nature. It is even better than the photos show. The welcome package is very appreciated. You feel somebody is expecting you. The lady who gave us the keys was very friendly and explained about the dos and don’ts. Whenever we had a question the owners were willing to help us out. We will definitely recommend this to our friends and acquaintances.

Fantastic villa

It is hard to find the words that can describe this beautiful villa. As seasoned travellers I think I can safely say it is this best we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was exceptional with every consideration being given to the guests. Our group consisted of 6 adults and not once did we feel cramped or felt like we were treading on each others toes. The parking area was ideal for the 3 motorbikes we arrived on and the shade provided by the various seating areas accommodated those who were not inclined to sit in the heat by the pool. Cannot recommend highly enough - outstanding
