Lovely place

I stayed for the Stratrasimeno, a great running event for amateurs and professionals that takes place around Lake Trasimeno. Lots of people but in safety. Thanks I spent lovely days with my family.

Villa fantastica in una posizione perfetta

La villa è veramente bella, l'appartamente che ci hanno assegnato era molto confortevole e dotato di tutto il necessario. La villa e le camere sono come appaiono in foto. La vista sulle colline dalla piscina è fantastica e dalle stanze si vede il lago. In 40 minuti si è in val d'orcia.

Mooie ligging, doch achterhaalde foto’s

Ik weet nog niet wie de eigenaar van de villa is. De incheck werd gedaan door een dame. Deze sprak alleen Italiaans. Dus communicatie was pover.. appartement was wel goed schoon. Alles was wel zeer verouderd, zowel in als rondom het huis. De foto’s zijn dan ook niet representatief. Ook wij hadden in september ontzettend veel last van muggen. Het buiten zitten werd hierdoor op balkon niet mogelijk. De kitchenette voldeed, het enige kleine tafeltje wat er stond moest tevens werkruimte zijn voor het koken. Dat had ook wel weer zijn charme. Het appartement nodigt niet uit om binnen te verblijven. De ligging zelf was wel heel fijn. De Uitstapjes naar Toscane en in Umbrië maakte de locatie, ondanks zijn afgelegen ligging, centraal.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful time at La Villa Fontana, although we had a difficult time finding it at first. Alviero takes impeccable care of the property, visiting multiple times per day. We were in Apt. Margherita, which boasts a large bedroom with plenty of storage. The "kitchen" is contained in a large hutch - sounds weird, and it works. The indoor eating table is the only food work space, which could be a problem in cool or wet weather. In summer, we took all meals on the little balcony with the divine view of Lake Trasimeno and Castiglione del Lago. Other units may be bigger and/or have larger terraces, and only this apartment has a view of the lake. The big game room and pool were popular, and the hammocks provide a perfect spot to nap or read. The biggest drawback for us was mosquitos and ants. The location is great for day trips in the area, and the quiet privacy of the Villa la Fontana can't be beat!

Alviero hat ein super schönes Haus, mit dem italienischen Gefühl, das wir für unseren Urlaub wollten, es ist geräumig, gut eingerichtet, schön, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Es befindet sich in einem kleinen, aber authentischen Dorf in der Nähe von vielen Orten zu erkunden. Der Garten mit Pool ist ein gemütlicher Rückzugsort nach einem anstrengenden Tag voller Sightseeing und Shopping. Wir waren total zufrieden mit dem Haus, den Einrichtungen, einem perfekten Ort für Ruhe und Erholung! Danke für einen sehr, sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt! Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir waren zu zweit und wir hatten nichts an der Wohnung zu beanstanden. Alles war da, was Sie brauchen: eine gut ausgestattete Küche, ein geräumiges Bad mit Handtüchern und einen Garten, der zum Entspannen einlädt. Oder unter den Olivenbäumen oder dem Regenschirm.

A SLICE OF PARADISE!!!!

Let me start by saying that this was our 28th trip to Italy so we are very familiar with the usual "spartan" rentals. This Villa surpassed all expectations - totally private, well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, glasses, etc and furnished well. Sitting on a hill overlooking Lake Trasimeno and Castiglione del Lago in the background - there is simply nothing better! I woud highly recommend this property to anyone considering it - it is impeccably done and a true gem!

Erholung mit toller Lage

Wir haben uns bei Alviero und seiner Familie sehr wohl gefühlt. Gleich zu Beginn erhielten wir tolle Tipps zur Umgebung und hatten jederzeit einen Ansprechpartner. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas abseits etwa 10 Autominuten von Cortona entfernt. Dadurch hat man aber seine Ruhe und kann die typische Toskana mit ihren weiten Feldern und Zypressen geniesen. Auch von den Haustieren (5 Katzen) wurden wir freundlich aufgenommen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, stilvoll eingerichtet und sauber und hat alles, was man braucht. Der Pool ist traumhaft und einen Grill hatten wir auch zur Verfügung. Die gesamte Anlage entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Wir können diese Unterkunft vollstens empfehlen.

Unter Eleganz verstehe ich etwas anderes.

Nach Ankunft vor Ort sind wir wieder gefahren, auch mit dem Wissen, das Geld in den Sand gesetzt zu haben. Die Einrichtungsgegenstände waren alles andere als elegant (für uns gefühlt, nicht weit weg vom Sperrmüll). Das Wasser im Pool war sehr trüb/milchig (der Vermieter sagte zu, dies zu wechseln - dauert aber 3 Tage). Sehr viele Katzen auf dem Gelände - nichts für Leute mit Allergie (wie meine Frau). Die ausgewiesene Wohnung war deutlich kleiner als angegeben (max. halb so groß!). Der Vermieter bot uns daraufhin eine größere Wohnung im Haus an - aber auch da war die Einrichtung weit weg von "elegant". Auch das direkte Umfeld der Anlage erinnert eher an einen Schrottplatz - möchte ich im Urlaub nicht so haben. Da haben wir lieber das Geld in den Sand gesetzt als unseren Urlaub.

Among the most beautiful we have seen!

Everything about this place was truly wonderful: The location is peaceful yet within comfortable distance to lots of interesting places, and the owner offered great tips for trips. The property is among the most beautiful we have seen in both Umbria and Tuscany - beautiful and peaceful pool and garden. The apartment we stayed in was extraordinarily clean, functional and welcoming and the service was truly magnificent: The owner -Alviero - really goes out of her way to ensure a comfortable stay and both we and our kids felt truly welcome. Everything was in splendid working order from dish washing machine to wi-fi coverage (which cannot always be taken for granted..). Highly recommended.

What a fantastic and breathtaking view

The villa was perfect for our needs including every facility necessary for a comfortable stay, the photos don't do the location enough justice as it really is set in the most stunning and breathtaking location - we woke up every morning to the glorious views over lake Trasimeno and thought that life couldn't get any better! The property is clean, maintained and so convenient for both Castiglione del Lago and Cortona. Above all the lady who manages the property was beyond helpful, a joy to meet and simply able to provide so much valuable help about the local area. I would definitely come back and urge others to explore this amazing region of Umbria.

High quality service, a lovely host, discreet and good advice. Ideally located in UMBRIA, to radiate from Florence to Rome. Very pleasant, a beautiful park, tastefully decorated, worthy of a home decorating magazine. The pool is perfectly arranged the area is beautiful, Perugia, Assisi, is splendid.
