We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Ocean Dream. The staff was amazing. The hotel was spotless and the location was perfect. We could walk to everything. The pools were beautiful. The food was very good. We had a few minor maintenance issues and they addressed them immediately. This will be our go to place every time we go to Cancun!

Hotel has an amazing view, probably the best part about the hotel. Walking distance to restaurants and activities. The staff was helpful when I went to pick up the shoe I left.

We Loved The Ocean View!

Beach access and pools were incredible. Onsite food options were tasty and easy esp when we didnt want to leave the GORGEOUS views of the water. Easy walk to so many restuarants, convenience stores, and night clubs. Would def stay here again!

Beautiful beaches and beautiful people

The absolute best location and beautiful beaches!! We wanted a very relaxing stay which is what we got. Our place had a kitchenette and the walk to Chederauri was 10 minutes, everything that we needed was close. The staff were all wonderful and made our stay that much better. We will definitely be back

After all the terrible reviews, I was hesitant but glad I took my family. The beach and views are amazing. I was on the first floor ocean view, and had no issues with water pressure, hot water, or toilets. The two pools were clean and my kids loved it. Supermarket is a short 5-10 min walk away. My room was well worth the money!

Not recommended.

Not a pleasant stay. After three days, we finally got another room with hot water. The hotel rooms were outdated and had cockroaches. Poor communication from Vrbo and the host. Not recommended!

The view was amazing. The only thing is that one of the elevator was always put of use so sometimes you had to wait longer cause it was small elevators.

Amazing view

Beds and pillows are not confortable and the TV doesn’t work. I suggest a smart TV wich is not a special amenties in 2025. The kitchen is not well equiped. The localisation and the resort are very good!The view is amazing!

So relaxing 😌

Beautiful location. Convenient to all of the necessities. Bus stops just a few blocks away. I recommend taking a bus to your destinations, you will save a lot of pesos. Minimum charge for a taxi is 250 pesos. The bus is 12 pesos. The Ocean Dream is a very nice place to spend a relaxing week or longer. The price is excellent for the location 👌.

Excellent location

Great view and location ，the vacation rental is actually a room in a hotel! The shower head in my room is clogged and it had little water comes out. After 3 days I figured out the reason and was able to clean and unclog it with cloth. the only problem is the slow checking in process

2nd time here back to back. booked a shuttle only problem was shuttle was at another lterminal but we contacted the hotel and they contacted the driver so all went well. check in is 3. but you can change and enjoy the besch and pool. FYI the pool both pools are around 90 degrees . but fablous at night time. room had a kitchen. and we bought food worked well. elevators work well this trip. lots of entertainment with in walking distance and food. the red bus is 12 oesos and goes all around so its easy to use. would we come back.yup in a heart beat. cheers

The front desk said would give us a check out pass, because they said we lost 2 towels ,which they charged us $40, . We never took any towels out the room. Our flight was about to leave so we just paid it. O think i was a scam they are doing in order for the staff to pocket th3 money

I found this hotel to be cheap. There was not even something to clean dishes with in the kitchen in our unit. The water fountain was restrictive which to me was a bit crazy. And I was told if I wanted to sit on the cushions on the beach I had to consume. I didn't want to consume as I was with family. And the music blaring songs with curse words at 9 am when there was only families on the beach was ridiculous. I wouldn't go back to this hotel.

I loved the location, the beach is amazing and the sea view from the balcony is spectacular. There are restaurants, night clubs and shops within walking distance. The bed mattress in the room is good. The kitchen disappointed me because the plates and cups are made of plastic, you cannot use them in the microwave. The state of the two sauce pans is not good, I didn’t use them. Also, the fact that they don’t take care of the curtains is not good at all as this is important. The building is not old but the metal fittings like the door handles in the kitchen cupboards are not well maintained therefore they are rusty as the salt in the atmosphere is very corrosive. Ignoring this issues, I had a nice stay.

I do not recommend this hotel during the check in they told us room cleaning was not included so we did not worry about leaving our valuable stuff in sight. One day we returned from the beach and they had cleaned the room and my gold chain was not where I left it.They said they were going to investigate and we never heard from them.

Was in town to celebrate my brothers 50th birthday he happens to live in Cancun but when we had him come over to visit he had to pay $40 bracelets just to be able to buy breakfast! Gate employee even followed me to my room to check if he was in our room even though I captor almost bet he saw him drive off the premises. When we checked out they made us wait so that they would check our room for damages which has never happened to me anywhere in the world! My 73 year old mother was with us and when they allowed us to leave we weren’t allowed to wait for our car to pick us up on the premises we were told to be picked up outside by the street! The place is clean and the premises are also clean but the staff needs an etiquette class asap!

Nice beach and Pool that over looks it!

This property is right on the beach and has its own little part of it. As well it has two nice pools that overlook the beach. The property itself is okay, the view from the room makes up for anything that is not okay. But the hotel itself needs to get their act together and get all of their elevators working. There is only one of three (we were aware of functional) and it was not really a problem until it came time to check out... We waited over 30 mintues for one of us to get in w/ 1/2 or our luggage and my husband gave up and took the rest down 4 FLIGHTS of stairs. As did the three couples before us. This is unacceptable. Also the 'ramp' that is wheel chair assessable is very steep and would be dangerous on your own and needs a strong person to push someone or anything heavy up it! There is a cool hostel next door w/ good food... Natura something or other. Strongly recommend their breakfast.

Hotel and not an apartment

The stay was great once we got the correct room. There was a little mix up when we arrived with not getting the room we specifically chose through vrbo. But we quickly realized it was a hotel and not a condo/apartment.... The owner was quick to answer and 3rd room was the charm. Lol The room was very nice and view was amazing. We enjoyed our 3 weeks stay here and the food that was close by was all amazing! It had pretty much everything we needed. The beach was beautiful but they do allow daypass so most days we had to wait for a spot on the beach! The beach club/pool service was terrible. Slow and just not what we expected. The wings were delicious but 45 mins to get guacamole was not ideal!. Drinks were not good. But we chose to make drinks and snacks in our room and bring it down with us! Problem solved. Overall was good and we would go back to stay again as the room and location were amazing!

Location Excellent - Property Tired & Needs TLC

The view of the beach in both directions is superb, and the location is perfect for partying/clubbing - just 75m from the club centre. However, the property needs some work. Here is the list of items sent to the Host on Day Four of seven - One of the sliding doors on the shower is missing.The front door catch is very loose and, even when closed, it moves - this is because the front door is warped.Two buttons on the safe do not work.The variable ring on the hob only works on the smaller setting of the two.There are only two pans which are so big they cannot both fit on the hob.There is very little kitchen equipment.A kettle would be very useful (we boil water on the hob and it takes 20 minutes.There are only 6 clothes hangers in the wardrobe.The TV/IZZI box only allow one channel which cannot be changed.There is a nail sticking out under the headboard on the furthest bed.The fridge is very noisy when the thermostat cuts in/out and it makes quite a loud knock/bang.The pillows are exceptionally hard. I have asked the resort if so,e can be changed, but I was told they only provide one type.The hinge of one of the kitchen cupboard doors is hanging-off.Most of the furniture appears original from the 1990s, so feels a little outdated.Check-in is easy, but I have marked it down because the hotel had (they said) been told the wrong number of nights.On the whole, we had a very enjoyable stay, despite the above.The items were not acknowledged or remedied.
