The accommodations were great, very clean, central to restaurants and shops. Very close to the ferry for the beach.

Highly recommended stay

The house is in a brilliant location so it's easy to walk everywhere from there. There are a good number of bathrooms for a group, and the instructions by whats app for arrival and departure were clear and timely.The roof terrace is a bonus as it was spacious, but the inside communal area isn't really suitable for larger groups (we were 5). We also didn't find any cushions for the terrace chairs and loungers which would have made it more comfortable. Some of the bedrooms would have benefitted from a mirror too. Overall though it's a great find for a short break.

We have been to Tavira many times. This property is by far the most disappointing we have stayed in. It can be at best be described as basic throughout. The indoor seating comprises of a two seater sofa and a strange wooden bench with a cushion on, covering an unpleasant stain. The outdoor furniture is lacking or broken. The general cleanliness of the house is poor. There is a lot of dust throughout and the shower enclosures need deep clean. There is no cupboard space to store even basic food in the kitchen. Leaving food out (even well wrapped) encourages ants. On day 1, we had an issue with a blocked, smelly, toilet (not caused by us) This overflowed and foul water was all over the bathroom, bedroom and hallway. We cleaned and dried the area ourselves. The owner did attend the property the next day and unblocked the drains, but this caused 2 days of inconvenience and we have been told there is no compensation for this. We were given air freshener and a scented candle address the smell.It is worth noting that the bedrooms are accessed by an external staircase. There are no keys available for these rooms. It is unlikely but not impossible that someone could climb up to the staircase from the street behind the house and they would have complete access to every room!! We were denied check in until 5.30pm. We were told some things would be delivered to the house by way of compensation for this, but nothing ever arrived. I could say more but there is a word limit to the review.

Beautiful home in the heart of Tavira

Townhouse Aqua-Maris is everything you could ask for in a holiday home, spacious, modern and ideally located. The open-plan kitchen and living area felt very welcoming, and the air conditioning throughout the house was much appreciated. Each room was thoughtfully furnished, and the rooftop terrace provided amazing views of the town. Perfect spot for exploring Tavira and the nearby beaches.

Excellent location and ideal for large groups

Our stay at Aqua-Maris was fantastic. The house is beautifully renovated and very comfortable for a large family or group. The rooms are spacious and well decorated, and the rooftop terrace was our favourite spot, perfect for enjoying sunset dinners. The location couldn’t be better, right in the centre of Tavira, close to the river, restaurants and ferry to the beach. We didn’t need a car at all. Highly recommended!

Spacious, modern and with a stunning terrace

We had a wonderful time in Tavira, and Aqua-Maris was the perfect base. The house is large, clean and extremely well equipped. We loved having multiple bathrooms, which made everything easier with a big group. The rooftop terrace with a barbecue and fridge was such a bonus, we had many memorable meals up there. Being able to walk everywhere was a real plus. Would definitely come back.

Great Location

The location was great. Unfortunately there was only one comfortable (two person) couch. The plumbing was a real problem, one of the bathrooms had a plugged toilet when we arrived. The problem was dealt with quickly - thank you. After it was cleared we chose not to use it. A smell endured from that bathroom for the remainder of our stay.

Great location and place!

If you are looking for a very central place in Tavira, close to great restaurants, tourist attractions and the ferry to take you to Tavira Island, this place can't be beat! The place was wonderful as well and had enough room for our group of 9.

We really liked the house! An ideal location in Tavira...

It's in a great position, convenient for the town, excellent restaurants and bars and is a short walk to the local historical attractions. Spacious, characterful, ideally placed property in the heart of Tavira. We really enjoyed our stay.
