Absolutely beautiful, fantastic property allowing us an amazing stay. Vincent the owner was the best host we have experienced in renting a property. The house came supplied with more than you would need for an extended stay and the welcome basket was wonderful. Wish we could have stayed more than our 3 days.

The place is beautiful and was immaculately clean. It was a smooth check in with Andrea and Martine. Martine met us as we drove up and led us to the place, gave us a detailed tour and with Andrea, they both then gave us information about the area. They were both delightful.The place had everything we needed and we appreciated the welcome snacks!Eating breakfast on our outdoor patio was wonderful. We would come here again, hopefully soon!

What a fantastic stay in Beynac! The Petite Chateau was exactly as described in the listing. It was an ideal location for our stay in the Dordogne. It was very convenient for canoeing, seeing the castles and forts, and checking out Sarlat. It was the perfect size for our family of four with two teenage boys. The air-conditioner was perfect for keeping it a cool temperature in the house for the very hot days we had. Vincent, the owner, was so responsive in our booking process and the local property managers were also excellent. If we are so lucky to ever return to this region, we would absolutely stay there again and recommend it very highly.

I have rented a number of houses through VRBO. The Petite Maison is by far the best. It was in perfect condition when we arrived. Located in the beautiful village of Beynac -et-Cazenac on the Dordogne River it felt like we had gone back in time. A very friendly village, we felt welcome everywhere we went - restaurants, the Pharmacy, the local market. Plus, there are many wonderful day trips just short drives away. I hope to be back again one day.

A great stay

A wonderful old house in a superb area. Check in easy. The local contact, Martine, superb. It was a great place for us to visit the Dordogne. We will return!

Bijou house in a beautiful village

We absolutely loved our stay at La Petite Maison. The house is very well appointed and is ideally situated for exploring not only the beautiful village of Beynac but also the surrounding area. Vincent goes above and beyond and Martine was a delight to meet. We would happily recommend a stay here and thoroughly look forward to returning one day soon.

The Dordogne!!!

This sweet house was situated perfectly for exploring the Dordogne valley. Nothing was further than 30 minutes and those minutes were pittoresque. The sky and water views are breathtaking. The local bistrot (La petite tonnerre) welcoming and delicious.

La Petite Maison is fantastic!

The house is tucked into the hillside in the perfect location to launch your adventures in the Périgord region. The village is wonderful to wander through and was not far from many other sites and activities and we wanted to see. One of our favorite activities was relaxing in the evening on the little patio with a nice white wine or rosé at the end of the day

Magical Escape to La Petite Maison

Everything about our stay at La Petite Maison was perfect. The house itself was charming, beautifully maintained, and felt like stepping into a dream. Waking up each day in such a picturesque setting was pure magic. The weather was fantastic during our visit, making it easy to enjoy the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The area hiking is extraordinary - we highly recommend the hike from Beynac to La Roque - Gaga. We couldn’t have asked for a better home base in Beynac—truly an unforgettable week!

Quintessential French Experience

Both Vincent and Andrea were extremely responsive. Martine welcomed us with open arms (literally!). She was so helpful, friendly, and full of joy! The home is fabulous! Beautiful, comfortable, and well stocked. The location is perfectly situated on a quaint street close to everything. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful La Petite Maison!

My husband and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary while staying in this romantic little cottage! It was heaven. The house is so pretty and well maintained that many people stopped and took pictures as they walked by. The town is beautiful, with lots to see and the people friendly. There are many places to visit near by, so it is the perfect base to tour the Dordogne area. The owners made us feel so welcome, and their local representatives were great! We highly recommend La Petite Maison to anyone who wants a clean, well maintained, beautiful place to stay in the Dordogne area.

Fantastic property!

This house & Beynac are phenomenal! Host quickly responds to all emails and house staff Martine & Andrea are just great. Both helpful & informative. Martine even let us park in her driveway to avoid the parking lot. Both recommendations they gave us were perfect: La Petite Tonnelle - great restaurant steps from the house, and Sarissa at Taxi & Touring a la Carte provided us with a local winery tour that was educational & enjoyable! Cannot wait to return to Beynac!

The Magical Le Petite Maison

I saw a picture of Le Petite Maison 8 years ago and loved it. I have painted it several times. When my brother was on hospice a photo of the house came up on my phone. And I promised him I would go. It was spiritual and magical at the same time🌹. Wonderful village and people.

This is the most amazing house we have ever stayed in on all of our travels! We had read the description but it goes beyond the feeling you have when you’re actually in it! The home was meticulous plus you are able to feel the age of it while the added modern features make it very comfortable. Communications with the host were many and very helpful and Andrea and Maritine were always eager to help us! The village of Beynac doesn’t even seem real! Our trip to Beynac and living in this incredible house have made our trip to France unforgettable! We had wished we would have made our trip longer as our accommodations were just unbelievable! We’re so happy to have had this experience!!!!

Fantastic stay in Beynac

This is just a lovely property! Such character! Beynac is a lovely picturesque town and conveniently located to lots of sites. Owner has left very detailed instructions and suggestions for things to do. Also the welcome basket was very much appreciated the first morning! Parking is just a few minutes walk, and was convenient. Small grocery store, bakery, butcher, and restaurants all withing walking distance. AC, washer/dryer, dishwasher all appreciated. We ate outside on the little front porch and enjoyed music from the neighboring restaurant. Also met owner walking by as we ate dinner! Property manager very helpful. All in all a lovely stay, and highly recommended.

Charming Slice of History

La Petite Maison is a comfortable, well-equipped cottage located in a charming village. As described, there are two master bedrooms with ensuites, one of which is located on the top floor and the other on the bottom floor (i.e., two floors apart). We were two couples so this was ideal; however, I would caution that there are fairly steep, slippery staircases to access the bedrooms, which could prove problematic for anyone with mobility issues. The kitchen was extremely well-equipped for a holiday rental (one of the best we’ve stayed in). There is an American-style drip coffee makers but one recommendation would be to include a French coffee press. The village itself is small and quiet and ideally situated for exploring the area. All-in-all a lovely stay!

Lovely stay in 500 yro house

The house is charming and surprisingly updated, with things such as a combo stovetop, oven and dishwasher. The village is really cute and is a perfect base to drive through Dordogne. Communication with the owners was very straightforward, and the check in process was relatively easy with their housekeeper (though she only speaks French, so be prepared for that). Although the house worked really well for us, and we would gladly stay there again, I would warn people that the walk up to the house is a little steep, and there are tight, spiral stairs in the house that would make it difficult for anyone with mobility issues. There is a lovely outside area that would be perfect for sitting out and watching people go by, when the weather is nice. For us, though, the weather was rainy and cool, so after a day of touring around, we loved coming back to such a cozy house with a comfy living room. Would gladly recommend this to anyone who does not have mobility issues.
