Great information was provided in preparation for our stay as well as great communication during our stay. We enjoyed the house as well as easy access to our favorite places, banner elk, blowing rock, and boone. We would definitely recommend this place as well as stay here again.

Cozy mountain stay

We love the location of this house to the slopes. The location is convenient to get to Fred’s and other popular eating places. The house was cozy, comfortable, and perfect for our family of five. we had added bonus seeing a beautiful snow and deer in the yard during our stay. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

Convenient to ski slopes!

Rick was a great host for our stay. Access to Beech Mt slopes by short walk made the location ideal for our trip. Easy access to home regardless of weather/snow conditions. I would absolutely reserve this home again for a fun mountain retreat!

This property was perfect. My family enjoyed our stay and location!

This property had 3 bedrooms and sleeps comfortably 6 people. It has very easy access to the slopes where you walk and put your skis on and ski down to the lifts. You will want to get your passes ahead of time. Easy to have your lunch at the house and not at the lodge. My family enjoyed our stay here very much and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful stay and host

We went to beech Mountain for our yearly anniversary ski trip (17 year). This year we brought my aunt and my sister with us. The house was plenty big for the four of us. I could definitely see the house accommodating six the house was very nice. Everything worked well great location easy access to the ski slopes the host of this location is very polite. Response quickly we will definitely have this on our bookmark for next year. Thank you so much for a wonderful home for my family and I.

Fantastic cabin

We stayed here over the New Year weekend with our family just to get away and spend time together. The cabin is clean and bright, the fireplace is easy to use and awesome, linens are great quality, updated bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen...the list goes on. The view from the deck is beautiful and the property is easily accessible. Would definitely recommend!

As advertised

Rick was very communicative throughout the whole process. Our two little families loved it and while we have been spoiled with ski in ski out for several years now, this is as close to it as you can get without it being ski in ski out. We loved the gas fireplace, the renovated and spa like master bathroom, and they had everything we needed for the most part. We would book again for sure.

Great Beech Mountain location

I visited this property with my spouse and two children under the age of 12. Rick was very communicative as the host. We enjoyed the mountain views from the porch and upgraded master bath. The house is located steps away from the Beech Mountain resort and is close to hiking and restaurants. We visited in the spring well after ski season and just before the summer resort attractions opened, but would like to visit again to take advantage of the proximity to the Beech Mountain resort.

This may have been the most well-appointed property we’ve booked so far. We needed none of the extras we brought from home from paper products to the crock pot - everything we needed was there. Communication with the owners was easy; they provided all the information we needed well in advance. The location was convenient to Asheville, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. Thank you!

Property was exactly as described, kitchen equipped with everything you needed and extremely clean. Beds were comfortable and neighborhood very quiet. Our only visitors were the beautiful deer, squirrel and birds. Host was very friendly with a quick response time. Definitely on our list to visit again.

Cabin in the Woods

This is a beautiful cabin, nestled in Beech Mountain adjacent to ski slopes. The view was beautiful, the accommodations were very pleasant. We had a great stay. Our host was very responsive to our needs. Many thanks for letting us stay in this property.

Great Ski Trip

Location! Location! Location! This cabin is perfect for a family ski trip. It’s small (1200ish sq/ft) but you’re not there for the house. You’re there for the slopes! The house is located about 150 yards from the bottom of a blue run. We made the walk with a 12 year old and 9 year old in full ski equipment. THERE IS A SMALL CREEK YOU HAVE TO CROSS. I did not see this detail in any other review. It’s totally walkable but if there is significant snow melt it can be A bit tricky. We did it just fine with our kids and obviously many others walk it every day. It was just not something we expected. The rest of the walk is slightly downhill to the slopes and uphill back to the house. No big deal at all. Even for a tired, overly dramatic, 9 year old. You can easily ski to any lift from the access point.The owners are awesome. Great communication. Top notch service. Book with confidence.

Perfect for our family!

We recently stayed for 5 days with our two kids (ages 8 and 4) and my mother-in-law. The house was perfect for our family. We really enjoyed the porch, where we spent most of our time. The location was great, as well! Would definitely stay here again.

Recent Ski Trip

Well priced and comfortable accommodations for our recent ski trip. Well located on Beech Mountain. Fairly easy to ski in and ski out. Owners were responsive and provided excellent local insight on ski rentals and other items. Would definitely stay here again

Enjoyed our stay

Grandparents, parents and two young children enjoyed their stay at this property. We were close to the slopes and optionally an easy drive to park near the entrance. This was just the right size for our family and plenty of room to play, do puzzles or just hang out watching the Super Bowl. The host was great in answering questions and working with us. Everything was as listed and as shown in the pictures. We hope to return in the future.

We are both retired. I was an engineer and Elaine was a school teacher. We both attended the University of Tennessee and have 3 children and 7 grandchildren. I was in the Army and stationed in Korea. Elaine came over and lived in Seoul and taught English. We now live on the North Carolina Coast but love the mountains. We love to have folks stay and have a great time

Why they chose this property

We love our location. Our street dead ends into the slopes, so it is a short distance for easy access for skiers. Our large deck is great for relaxing in the summer and enjoying the views

What makes this property unique

We have a driveway in front and one that circles around to the back door for easy access and unloading. The driveway also provide ample parking.
