Good value for money. Miles from anything. Only 2 local restaurants but quiet and house was great with the pool for big family just needed more things ie sleeps 8 but 6 outdoor seats and lack of wine glasses etc.

The property was as described with large, clean rooms and a lovely pool and garden. Ivan was very helpful and prompt with any questions. We went in mid-September and some restaurants had closed for the season. The bus service had also moved to winter timetable, but we still managed comfortably without a car.

Great stay at Arenella

We had a great stay at Arenella. The house was nice and clean and everything worked as it should. We also used the pool which was kept open for our stay in mid-October, so that was enjoyable. It is a shame that the pool is placed on the wrong side of the house in regards to the sun but we managed. It is walking distance to a lovely beach. Our host Ivan was very accomendating and even provided a wheelchair for my mom, who had injured her leg prior to our stay. He helped us out with all our questions and it was easy to check in and out. As we came late October, most shops and the beach-club was unfortunately not open which was a shame but understandable due to the season. It is therefore nessesary to have a car which we had.

Ein sehr schöner Urlaub

Das Haus liegt wenige Gehminuten von einem tollen Strand entfernt, war sehr sauber und geräumig. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr angenehm. Restaurants und Supermärkte sind nur mit dem Auto erreichbar, man sollte also einen Mietwagen haben. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden!

The perfect stay!

This property exceeded our expectation! From the moment we stepped in the property Ivan the keeper welcomed us with like we were family! The villa had all we needed and more! From being clean, spacious , beautiful grounds, close to all things the beach the bars the restaurant, fruit market, pizza oven all you need walking distance! We will definitely be back! Thank you for making our vacation in Sicily a memorable one !

Traumhafter Urlaub in Sizilien

Eine Woche Urlaub in der Villa von Ivan mit zwei Familien war traumhaft. Die sehr geräumige Villa bietet alles was man braucht, vor allem die Küche ist für Italien sehr vollständig ausgestattet. Ivan war um alles sehr bemüht - ein toller Gastgeber. Traumhaft ist natürlich die Lage mit nur knapp 200m direkt zu einem Sandstrand (frei oder Liegen mit Eintritt ... wie man möchte). Gegenüber in der Ferienanlage wurde aufgrund der Nachsaison zu den normalen Arbeitszeiten etwas gewerkelt und saniert, was aber überhaupt nicht störte. Bäcker (ab 6:30 Uhr) unmittelbar in der Nähe, Einkauf unkompliziert im nahen Sirakus möglich. Für Reisegruppen, die mehr als zwei Schlafzimmer und Bäder benötigen absolut zu empfehlen!

Wonderful villa and holiday

We all (4 adults and 4 children) had a wonderful stay at Ivan’s villa and were very well looked after. Ivan was always on call via WhatsApp with any queries and was very helpful. The villa is as described and suited our 2 families well. It is spacious and light and the bedrooms have (slightly noisy) but good air conditioning. The pool is great and location close to beach is brilliant too. I’d disagree with anything negative on the internet as that all worked fine for us and we had no problems with hot water for showering. The kitchen could be slightly better equipt if you’re a keen cook, but equally the BBQ suited us most nights, so wasn’t an issue. Locally, the Samoa restaurant is good food even if services doesn’t match it and the pizzeria, which villa includes flyer for, is a much for an authentic experience. Overall we loved our holiday and would return if we come back to Sicily! Thank you Ivan and family

In regards to our reservation HA-H3TVTK We have been living in constant noise since we checked in from 7am to 6pm. The house across from this house is under construction - and there are 5 meters between the houses. it would have been nice to have been informed before we arrived. We dont think its reaonable we have paid the full price as we where never advised. We contacted the owner who did not give us any solution. In regards to the house we stayed in we dont have anything to add as it was fine and lived up to our expectation. we have send our complain to Vrbo support included several videos and we have been calling twice without result

Fantastic

Just like to say a massive thank you to Ivan and his family ……. We had a fantastic time and cannot fault a thing…… My 12 year old nephew never came out of the pool except to walk down the street to the coast and the sea which was the warmest I’ve ever been in. We had trips to Fontaine Bianchi, Noto and the best of all ….. Oritiga. We all absolutely loved the villa and Sicily and once again a high thank you for such a lovely place……. La dolce vita Ciao….

Schönes Haus mit Pool mit Nähe zum Strand

Das Haus verfügt über einen großen Pool mit 4 Schlafzimmern (3 davon mit eigenem Bad), große Küche, großes Wohnzimmer und einer sehr schönen Terrasse. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die reibungslose und freundliche Abwicklung mit dem Property Manager Ivan - Einfache Kommunikation über WhatsApp, hat sich um alles weitere gekümmert etc.

Sehr schönes Haus

Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit ,wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Das Haus ist sehr sauber. Man hat alles da was man braucht. Hatte man Fragen an den Vermieter, wurden diese in kürzester Zeit beantwortet. Zum Strand oder zum Gemüsehändler war es nicht weit. In der Nähe befindet sich auch das Arenella Café welches auch gut zu Fuß zu erreichen ist. Dort hat man eine große Auswahl an Speisen, Eis, Gebäck, Backwaren und Wurstwaren. Für den großen Einkauf muss man dann schon ein Auto haben die größeren Supermärkte befinden sich in Syrakus. Dort findet man dann auch viele Restaurants. Wir haben uns auf jeden Fall wohl gefühlt und haben den großen Pool sehr genossen. Um die Wasserqualität des Pools hat sich der Vermieter gekümmert, er kam alle 2 Tage vorbei und hat eine Messung vorgenommen und den Pool Saugroboter gestartet und daß ganz früh am Morgen um uns Gäste nicht zu stören. Wir können dieses Haus wirklich empfehlen.

great time in Arenella

We, family of 6 of which 2 children had a great time in the villa with excellent swimming pool. Our host Ivan welcomed us on arrival gave detailed explanation of the possibilities in the area. During our stay he was also very helpful whenever required. Walking distance from the house was the beach with an excellent restaurant and a few shops for nearly all daily shopping requirement. The beds were fine and the wifi in the house worked well, A great bonus was the hourly bus stop close to the house which drove is in 20 minutes to the center of Syracuse.

Härligt hus med egen pool

Huset var jättefint och välstädat. Kontrakten med värden var god. Jag använde mig av Google translate för att kommunicera på Italienska och det funkade fint. Några minus: Poolen var välskött men skulle behöva en uppfräschning i form av ommålning, det skulle behövas ett rejälare bord och stolar till fler på utsidan av huset och kylen var för liten för två familjer. I övrigt var vi mer än nöjda, stort tack för en trevlig vistelse!

Great location and size, but lacking in key areas (which could be fixed)

The house is large and well-located in the beach resort of Arenella, a short walk away from the small but pretty beach front. If you are staying here for the beach or the pool you may be satisfied, but unfortunately for us there several things which were not optimal which made our stay not as enjoyable as it could have been... Firstly, the hot water system is not adequate for the number of people who can stay there - we were only 4 adults and 2 kids, but there was only hot water for 1 and a half showers each morning (this was after we figured out not to press the off switch for the water which was nearly identical to the light switch). The internet was unreliable and did not effectively reach parts of the house such as the living room; the router was swapped out halfway through the stay, which improved the reliability, but the limited range remained an issue. The front door lock needs to be replaced, as on various occasions the key became stuck in the lock, or we were locked out (!). In general, the living room area is quite sparse - more seating is required, more items on the walls and better lighting, as at the moment it feels too cold and echo-y to feel like a place to relax in. The bedrooms were nicer, however, and the beds very comfortable. I would say that the host Stephanie was very helpful and responsive, and easy to communicate with via phone or chat, but sadly we had to communicate nearly every day because of the aforementioned issues! With some investment it seems all these things could be fixed, and this property could become a great place to stay, but for now it was a disappointment to us.
