Style, elegance, and an abundance of New England atmosphere come together in this two-bedroom Falmouth home, a lakefront lodge with a gorgeously designed interior, an outdoor entertaining area with a private hot tub, and a wonderful location on the edge of Jenkins Pond.
Nestled in a copse of trees on the northern shores of Jenkins Pond, this two-level home enjoys one of the most scenic locations in East Falmouth. From this beautiful lake view property, you'll be just four miles east of Chapoquoit Beach, five miles north of Falmouth Heights Beach, and five miles from the charming shops and restaurants on Main Street in Falmouth.
Upon entering this home, you'll be struck by its thoughtful design, its upscale finishes, and its welcoming atmosphere. Admire natural wood beams and floors, a mix of vibrantly patterned textiles, a wood-burning fireplace for cool coastal evenings, and windows and doors that frame the surrounding woods.
Begin each morning in the kitchen - a clever mix of modern and classic styles with stainless steel appliances, a farm sink, open shelving, and a teal backsplash. Sip your morning coffee on a bar stool by the window, set the dining table for pancakes and eggs, and leave the dishwasher to handle the post-meal clean-up.
Bring your bikes along to take a ride through town to Falmouth Heights Beach on Vineyard Sound, or use the WiFi to plan an outdoor adventure. Come lunchtime, you can ride back home to rinse off in the outdoor shower, light the gas grill outside on the patio, and enjoy fresh local seafood at the bistro table on the deck.
As the day comes to a close, linger with your loved ones in the outdoor entertaining space, take a soothing soak in the private hot tub, or gather around the outdoor fire for an evening of s'mores and stories. Back inside, you'll find a wall-mounted flatscreen TV with cable service for fun-filled movie nights.
At night, as many as four guests will sleep soundly in this two-bedroom, two-bathroom lakefront home. The upstairs bedroom is a sight to behold, with a queen-size bed, an open loft-style layout, exposed cathedral beams, and views that overlook the lake. The attached bathroom offers an elegant glass shower. The second bedroom is on the main floor, offering towering ceilings, a queen-size bed, and a second bathroom with a walk-in shower down the hall.
Although the gorgeous design of this home makes it a destination in its own right, you'll have a wealth of activity at your fingertips in Falmouth. Spend an afternoon or two on Main Street, where you can pop in and out of art galleries, take a tour of the Falmouth Museums on the Green, and choose from a collection of charming restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and markets.
Immerse yourself in Cape Cod's summer splendor at one of Falmouth's 10 public beaches. You'll be just a short drive or bike ride from the white sand of Chapoquoit Beach four miles west, the ever-popular Old Silver Beach six miles west, and the warm waves of Falmouth Heights Beach just five miles south.

We enjoyed our weekend in Falmouth. The house was very cozy, and perfect for a weekend away from the city.
Took my husband away for a nice weekend getaway. This house is perfect. Cozy fireplace, nice hot tub, relaxing weekend all around.
Really nice place
We loved the decor and most everything about the house. It's cozy - perfect for two to four people. We stayed in winter, so the fireplace and hot tub were great features. I'd love to stay in the summer sometime. Some comments..there was only a sheet and cotton quilt on our bed (I think the other bed had a thicker comforter) and no blankets handy, so we had to keep the heat higher at night than I normally would have. (I suspect if we'd made a call this could have been easily solved, but it wasn't a big deal.) If you need absolute quiet, bring ear plugs, because the pipes do make some noise - it wasn't loud, though. Lastly, if we'd had four people who like to shower for more than a few minutes at a time, the hot water would have been a problem - that was the biggest negative - we only had three people and try not to use too much water and we still felt rushed. We'd definitely go back, though!
We have turned up the hot water heater and provided additional blankets in the home. We appreciate receiving this feedback to work with!

Modern Charm in a Perfect Location!
The "Home with a View" is a well-appointed, extremely clean, beautifully laid out home that looks out over a big pond from across the way. The very large windows upstairs gives a relaxing and lovely view of trees and sun streaming in in the morning. The kitchen has everything you need and living room is so cozy with a very nice fireplace.
Staying in this quiet neighborhood in Falmouth, you can spend the day sight seeing around the area, even take a ferry to Martha's Vineyard, or take a day trip to Rhode Island and then come back in the evening to enjoy all the amenities.
This home and staying in Falmouth is a perfect spot to enjoy lots of different things that the New England area/coast has to offer.
This was one of the best and most memorable vacations my husband and I have ever had...we really love New England and all that it has to offer!
