I am a lover of animals, nature, wild swimming, walking, yoga and healthy living. All of which Devon has in abundance...probably why I love living here so much. I love travel and exploring, meeting people from different cultures. I am super happy to recommend all the best spots for visitors, please just ask!

Stoke Gabriel is a peaceful village, surrounding by stunning countryside, and of course the River Dart. If you love the outdoors, walking, exploring, listening to the owls and foxes, this is the place for you. We are very lucky that Stoke Gabriel is also a pretty lively village, and benefits from a great shop and Post Office with lots of local goodies. As well as 5 different pubs/restaurants. It doesn't go dead in the winter like some villages, and often has celebrations such as bonfire night and Wassail. It is a very friendly village, with great walks on our doorstep. Also, very close to the brilliant town of Totnes, all the beaches/shops/restaurants in Torbay, amazing Dartmoor and of course the South West Coast path. I have been here for 9 years now, and we are still finding new places to explore.

The Retreat is a well equipped, bright and cozy space which is perfect for solo travellers or couples wanting to explore the local area, have a walking holiday, a break from the city etc. Whilst still enjoying great WIFI, nad not being totally cut off! Many guests comment on the comfy bed and peaceful nights sleep. If it's a retreat you are looking for, you can also book an Indian Head Massage, or some relaxing Reflexology, and a session or two in the Infrared Sauna. You can go home feeling fully refreshed, invigorated and recharged.
