If you are looking for a place to relax and somewhat off the grid, this is the place to do it. Enjoy fires in the cool mornings and evenings. Some trout fishing and just be one with nature. This is the perfect place to relax and recharge.

House worked perfectly for our two families, as it had lots of space and two primary bedrooms. Beautiful location on the river, we enjoyed our time outside on the decks, fishing and in the hot tub. Well equipped kitchen and grill. Kids had a blast and parents enjoyed relaxing. Owner was very responsive with any concern and gave a helpful list of recommendations.

Our family rents various cabins a few times each year in the Ellijay area. This cabin is the most well stocked we’ve ever seen. When we read the reviews we were concerned about the stairs, but these stairs are NOTHING compared to past rentals. The river is beautiful and the property is gorgeous. We had plenty of space to play. The fire pit was great. We had the most amazing stay and recommend this property to families and large groups.

We are a family of six from Milton, GA with three boys and a girl. We have another house for rent in Coosawattee, VRBO #583476.

Why they chose this property

We love coming to Ellijay and the fact that it is so close to our house in Milton is a big bonus for us. Our kids love playing in the water, riding dirt bikes and fishing. It is so nice to be in the mountains and on the water in a place that feels so remote but you are less than 15 minutes from shops, restaurants, and grocery stores.

What makes this property unique

The word “Ellijay” is an Anglicized form of a Cherokee word, perhaps meaning "place of green things" or "many waters." This would make a lot of sense considering this is the place where the Ellijay and Cartecay Rivers meet forming the Coosawattee River. The Coosawattee and Mountaintown come together and flow into Carter’s Lake: A gorgeous recreational lake developed by the Corps of Engineers. This region abounds with wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, bears, eagles, and hawks. The Rivers are a favorite for trout fishermen or feel free to our stocked fishing pond within the resort.
