we LOVED our stay at the Gillespie House! Caroline met us at the property to check us in and show us around. It was SO clean and cozy, and unique too!! We loved that the doors opened up fully to the courtyard if wanted. We would 100% book again! Thank you so much for making this a perfect home away from home.

Such a lovely place and an even lovelier host. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Caroline was helpful before we even got there, and then took us through the property and made sure we had all we needed for a perfect stay. Thanks again for everything!

Great location and comfortable accomodation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gillespie house; the location was excellent, and the bed and living area were very comfortable. We walked almost everywhere around Edinburgh from the Gillespie house, making it so convenient. It was about 30 minutes to the center of town, but many great shops and restaurants were even closer. We would definitely stay again. :)

Exceptional accommodation

This modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean apartment is a gem, and Caroline is an extraordinary host. All amenities and excellent location with restaurants, bakeries, and coffee within a short walk. A longer walk takes you into the Royal Mile and other top Edinburgh sights and pubs, or you can easily catch a bus. Highly recommend.

Perfect, Lovely, Would Return

What a lovely, beautiful space. We had a fantastic three night stay and from the minute we arrived to the minute we left, it couldn’t have been any more of a lovely respite, and we did not even use the second room, the patio or put on a wash. This location is modern and extremely clean (non-negotiable). Sunlight from sun-up to sundown. Snacks! A comfortable bed. The shower did run out of hot water which is an Americans taking too long showers problem. Caroline was so lovely, greeting us and walking us through. Location allowed for lovely walks and access to most of the city; we walked to the modern art museums easily. Reasonable prices for fabulous lodging. Could not be more enthusiastic.

Eine sehr schöne, grosszügige und luxeriöse Unterkunft welche qualitativ auf höchstem Niveau steht. Alle Möbel und Geräte sind bedacht ausgewählt, passen und sind funktional. Caroline hat an alle Dinge gedacht und hat uns beim Bezug der Wohnung alles erklärt und allgemein Tips zu unserem Aufenthalt in Edinburgh gegeben. U.a. auch das Thai Restaurant Dusit, was sehr gut war. Well done Caroline, we come again.

Charming spot for a city stay

Great communication. Super clean and cute little house. Perfect for my husband and I. About 15 minute walk from city center, and just a few minutes from plenty of good restaurants and a market. Would stay here again!

Awesome accommodations

Pictures don't do this place justice. It's a perfect distance from everything you could want to do. The checkin was easy and Caroline was extremely helpful. The unit was clean, had everything you could need. Would definitely stay here again

Our stay in Auld Reekie

Caroline’s home was just perfect for our stay in Edinburgh. The attention to detail was second to none from having coffee, tea, fresh milk and even biscuits on our arrival. Cleanliness was an obvisious priority. We will be back and will definitely be booking this home again. Thank you Caroline

Perfect little place!

Very clean, well equipped, modern apartment with outdoor space for your morning coffee. The unit is perfect for one or two people looking for peace and quiet, though it's a short 15 minute walk to the Royal Mile. Grocery, fast food and shops are right around the corner from the unit. Caroline is lovely and very easy to contact if required. I highly recommend her property for your stay.

We loved staying at Gillespie House. Everything was clean and comfortable. Clearly lots of thought went into the design of the home. We wished we had booked it for the end of our Scotland adventure too.
