Great spot, but very touristy

We had a great time in Porto, and this apartment is right in the middle of one of the more touristy parts of the city. We were definitely looking for a place near the bustle, but for us it was a bit too much. It may have just been our luck, or perhaps due to all the construction in the area, but it seemed like the whole city was funnelling right past us. Of course, this has nothing to do with the property or the managers, which were awesome. Tonnes of amenities right out the door, and easy (with hill) to walk everywhere we wanted. We likely wouldn’t stay here again, but we would happily rent with the same management company. And this place would definitely be great for folks looking for this type of experience. That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and this apartment is great!

A very basic apartment not as described.

The apartment location is great. Easy walking distance to most attractions. Being central also means continual street noise until about 4:00am. The apartment is suitable for short stays 2-3 nights - not 18 nights as we had booked. There is a hidden cost of €24 if you want clean towels & linen after 7 days or any time you request a swap over. The apartment is on the 2nd floor with 32 steep steps to climb. The description says there is a desk, (false) and dining seating for 4 people (false).There were NO chairs. We requested chairs to sit on and they arrived on the 5th day. Capacity is up to 4 guests - yet there are only 2 dinner knives, 2 dinner forks,1 teaspoon, 3 dinner plates, 3 coffee cups..there were no wine glasses. We requested them and two arrived on the 3rd day. In the city that “invented” Port - there are no port wine glasses. Described as having pantry items but there were none. However we did see the cleaners “cleaning out” basic pantry items from the apartment below - olive oil, spices, salt, coffee, tea, wine, water etc. not just perishable items. Bookings for longer than a week would usually do home cooked meals. Cooking utensils are very limited and stovetop too small to use two pots to at the same time. A “welcome pack” would have been helpful with information on where to take the garbage & recycling, the address of closest laundromat, closest supermarket etc. A very basic apartment not as described.
