Spent 6 nights here as a base. Perfect location to explore the surrounding areas and beautiful scenery to wake up to. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all.

Comfortable and cosy cottage with fantastic views. Host was friendly and welcoming . We stayed for two nights as a short getaway . Our dog loved exploring in the nearby forrest . The cottage was equiped with everything you would need and beds were super comfy . Would love to return again .
We had the best time at this cottage! Elaine is such a lovely host—quick to respond and really thoughtful. The cottage itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a peaceful getaway. It had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. A special thanks to Elaine for kindly allowing us an extra 30 minutes for checkout, which made things so much easier. Overall, spot on experience from start to finish. We’d absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back again.
This property was 15 mins drive for the Bombproof Boxer Summer Camp which we attended for 4 days for 2 x 2hrs training sessions with the dogs and also evening lectures. Location was just right for to and from Bowmuir Farm.
Nice to have the use of a fenced paddock/orchard for the dogs to have a run around.
So beautiful and comfortable, set in rolling green hills. The cottage is a perfect home base for exploring southern Scotland. The cottage itself is comfortable and well appointed with everything we could have needed. Elaine was so friendly and very quick to answer with any questions we had. The welcome book had directions and contact info for many local interests. We hope to be able to stay again someday.
The place was clean, had everything we needed and was just a lovely spot. We enjoyed walking the woods near by and watching the horses. The home was cozy and comfortable. Thanks!
Elaine was really helpful and showed me round and how to adjust the heating etc. The cottage is very comfortable and the views from the sitting room are stunning. The kitchen looks out over a courtyard which is also really beautiful. Plenty of space to park outside and Elaine showed us where the girls could play outside in the orchard. We had a lovely time, thank you.
