バークウッドコテージは、バークウッドハウスの所有者と3½エーカーの緑豊かで手入れの行き届いた敷地を共有しています。 バークウッドの家は1905年に建てられ、コテージは庭師のコテージとして少し遅れて建てられました。 田舎の雰囲気を味わい、さらに遠くへ旅行するのに理想的な拠点です。

この素晴らしいよく提示された広々とした独立したコテージは、グラスゴーとイギリスを結ぶ主要な動脈の1つであるM74に近い南ラナークシャーのシミントンの村の端にある静かで静かな環境にあります。

Birkwood Cottage is a wonderful place. We spent the Christmas week here, Fiona greeted us as we arrived and was very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was so clean and inviting and very well equipped. The dogs loved the garden area which was safe and away from main roads ( we have a spaniel!) We’ve had a wonderful break. X

The cottage is warm and welcoming, beautifully decorated with every amenity you could wish for. The setting is peaceful relaxing yet close to a quaint town with the best fish and chips. Definitely worth a repeat visit. Fiona and Scott are wonderful inviting hosts

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It was lovely and comfortable, cozy and all the details were perfectly attended to. Our host was friendly and very helpful with local information and made sure we had a few helpful things in the kitchen to get us started on arrival. Fiona is really lovely and we would love to return to this wonderful area of the countryside. The location is central for day trips and there are tons of hidden gems. The morning walks are gorgeous and there are so many friendly lambs and dogs to get to know. We loved it !

Symington cottage

Lovely location as a base for hiking in the south of Scotland in the Clyde River valley. The cottage has three nice size bedrooms (we used two) with comfortable beds and a kitchen with all the basics. Fiona is a responsive host with good recommendations for hikes and local restaurants.

It was the most amazing little cottage in the country. Very neat and clean very comfortable.

We had the best experience the host was so pleasant and helpful. The whole time was the relaxing experience. I highly recommend.

Fantastic cottage in South Lanarkshire

Lovely cottage, tucked amongst the trees providing a peaceful and secluded stay. Cottage has everything you need and more, wood burner was great and logs provided. Fiona was lovely and helpful pointing out out local places of interest like Biggar and Peebles but cottage is well located for the larger cities if that’s what you’re looking for. Thanks for having us.

Symington Cottage

This cottage was lovely and peaceful. It had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable which made a nice change! We would get the bus into Biggar for dinner in the evenings which was perfect as only 10 mins away. Using the car in the day was also easy to get to Lanark or Biggar where parking is free. I grew up in Lanark so loved seeing Tinto where I would climb many a time as a child. (Perfect for any hikers.) I highly recommend this cottage and would definitely stay again.

5 star all way, host hss excellent eye for detail not just in the bathrooms and kitchen but the dressing internally of all the rooms.Would have gladly paid more!. Used as base for short stay x 3 days. Dog friendly and would return again.

Very nice cottage

Place you want keep secret.

Lovely house nestled in a large wooded garden. Sufficiently tucked away to be secluded but with easy access to the surrounding border country. Provided with all the needs of modern living and to a high standard. Host who lives next door, very friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic cottage peaceful recharge batteries

The Perfect Vacation

Beautiful, private Scottish cottage

This cottage was a dream come true-to stay in a lovely, secluded cottage with many Scottish sights nearby. Our host Fiona made us feel at home and even let us visit with her Westie puppy Bonnie! We are Westie lovers, were missing our dogs and Bonnie helped to soothe those feelings. Everything we needed was already in the cottage: fire ready to start and our first night was cool enough for one, and a well-equipped kitchen and lovely bedrooms and baths. The only thing we wish was to stay longer! We will be back!

Our second stay here. Very clean, comfortable and well presented property with access to lovely wrap around garden and wooded area. Owners very friendly and helpful. Perfect peace and quiet.

Lovely Country Get Away

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely time. The cottage was spotless, with everything you need and more, also the choice of furnishings was very nice. Enormous fenced in wooded gardens which were great for our black lab Jack. Hosts Fiona and Scott couldn't have been nicer and always on hand if you needed anything. Would Definitely recommend.

Lovely cozy cottage

What a lovely cottage! It was clean as could be and the wonderful host, Fiona, had left some provisions (tea, milk, bread and butter, etc) for the next morning to make us more comfortable. The heating worked perfectly and we enjoyed several nights with a log fire. The beds were very comfortable. Fiona offered several suggestions for places to see and we took her advice and went to The Crown Inn in Biggar for our anniversary dinner. It was beyond excellent! This was the absolute perfect place to use as our home away from home on vacation. Thank you, Fiona.

Wonderful location for some rest and relaxation.

Wonderful secluded property with ample parking and easy access. Facilities we’re superb as both bathrooms catered for preferences for both myself and my wife without compromise. Would certainly consider returning on another visit in the future.
