Excellent location with quick access to Chesil Beach. The bus stops directly outside to take you into Weymouth if you don't want to drive in. A beautiful flat with a great range of amenities and super communicatoon from Helen the host.
Apartment was lovely and had everything we needed for a great stay. A bonus was we were able to park next to the apartment building as the shop on the ground floor was empty so we could use the shop’s parking spaces. The road can be very noisy in the evening and early morning but it was a good spot to explore Portland and Weymouth. Thank you Helen for a lovely stay.

Great location for sailing - clean, tidy apartment with good equipment and facilities. Some street noise but understand double glazing is being fitted.

Thank you for your stay Kathryn! Glad it suited the sailors’ wishes :-) Yes we are having secondary glazing fitted to the listed windows to make the stay even quieter! A central location near the beach is also near the road so can be noisy at very busy times. Thank you for your feedback, I hope you’ll be back! Kind wishes Helen
The apartment was very clean and modern. It was great there is a washing machine which helped immensely. The beds are very comfortable. The only downside is unloading the car as you can’t park right outside but other than that it’s perfect. I would recommend. Thanks Helen for a great stay.

Many thanks for your lovely review Michelle- much appreciated! i am so pleased you had a good stay and found the apartment clearance, modern and comfortable :-)
You can pull up in the shop downstairs car park to unload and then move to the street parking outside. Sorry if that was a nuisance!
I hope you come to stay again!
Regards, Helen x
The apartment was lovely, very clean and modern. But we had a few issues that we really didn't expect. But the host really did her best to sort things out for us.

Hi Carol
Thanks for your stay! I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay at the apartment.
It was a shame you weren’t able to work out how to use the induction hob. I had offered for my electrician to show you how but you declined. He checked it anyway after you left and yes, you were right! It was working perfectly it was just that you weren’t used to touch controlled hobs. Also the window in the bathroom that you didn’t close and the rain was coming in, using the beach towels was one remedy although it pushed closed easily after you left. You wanted your privacy while staying so no one came in to help you and I was most happy to respect this for your stay. I have given you 5 stars for your stay despite incurring an electricians visit to confirm the hob was working perfectly and extra laundry costs as you used towels to block up the top of the window instead of giving it a push closed! The apartment can be warm so the bathroom sash window may be left slightly open at times at the top to nicely ventilate.
May I suggest you and your husband consider accepting help in the future if you aren’t able to close windows or use new equipment? We had a friendly interaction - it is of utmost importance to me that guests have the best stay possible. Dare I say it was disappointing that you have rated your stay only 3 stars when I wasn’t responsible for the rain or weak arms or being unable to use an induction hob /accept help. You reported that you loved the apartment.
Thank you Craig! So pleased you had a good stay and found the apartment to be stylish & clean :-)

I love being a host! Helping you to enjoy your stay on Portland is so important to me. I love the area and am happy when others do too. We love to stay as much as possible.
Why they chose this property
The beach - although rocky! - is so clean with super clean water and so quiet! We love it sit at Quiddles and watch the sunsets. We have dogs and they are so welcome in the area inc the beach. It’s a fab place for walking and so close to the Sailing Academy and other water sports. Portland is a perfect place to explore S Dorset.
What makes this property unique
The apartment is fresh and although one bed is spacious with huge windows. There’s a bus stop outside that takes you to Portland Bill, the lighthouse at the other end of the small island in one direction and sandy, lovely Weymouth which is award winning and has great restaurants in the other. There is also the tour open top bus that does the same route and continues along the Dorset coast - wonderful!
