Drummond Base is a modern, self contained studio on the ground floor of a modern detached house, situated in a quiet road overlooking Swanage bay,
Ideally located for the many amenities Swanage has to offer.
Within walking distance of beach, shops, restaurants, pubs, south west coastal path, Durlston Country Park and Swanage steam railway.
In this spacious pet friendly studio, with its own access, you will find a king size bed, two large sofas, smart TV, dining table and chairs.
The kitchenette provides full size fridge, microwave/grill/oven combi, toaster and kettle.
This is the ideal base for couples looking to explore Swanage and the surrounding area.

Drummond Base - an absolute gem

Perfect location for Swanage and surrounding area, I loved the short walk to the country park and quietness of the location. The property is spacious and comfortable and fitted to an excellent standard. Most importantly it was spotlessly clean. Ros gave detailed instructions about getting there, where to park etc. which all added to a great experience. Would not hesitate to return again. Thank you!

A lovely, well equipped modern studio apartment, set high above Swanage town centre.We enjoyed our short stay which was comfortable and very peaceful. It is quite a hike back uphill from the town but is doable!

The apartment was just as expected from the description. It was beautifully clean and well equipped for a weekend stay. The milk and tea provisions left by Ros were most welcome.

Modern clean comfortable studio appartment

Lovely few days staying at Drummond Lodge. Great location only 10-15 minute walk into town and beach as long as you dont mind a steep walk back. Only a few minutes from Durlston Park which was great as we came with our dog. Easy access to the property and onsite parking very useful. Very clean and comfortable. Great shower and modern bathroom. Would recommend

Excellent Spot with Access to All

This is our second time staying at Drummond Base. It's an excellent spot with easy access to coastal walks and just up the road from Swanage centre. The accommodation has all the amenities you could need and felt like we had our own private space.The host was quick to respond and very lovely. Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Absolute gem

Had a wonderful weekend break, the photos don't do justice, everything you need, super comfy bed and bedding and lovely bathroom. Great location for the town and the country park. Will be back!

Restful retreat

The property was in a great location near to the beach, coastline and town, so ideal for walking. The property was well thought out, set up beautifully and equipped well, so well I cooked my Christmas dinner in the kitchenette. For a single, female traveller I felt safe and secure too, which is very important to me. Ros, the property manager went above and beyond with providing a small Christmas tree and the milk in the fridge on arrival is always appreciated. I would certainly recommend family, friends and work colleagues to this property and look forward to returning again when I can. Thank you so much.

Perfect getaway

We enjoyed our weekend getaway which was perfectly located to access the beautiful cliff top walks. The accommodation itself is decorated perfectly and smelled gorgeous! The little kitchenette was ideal too. Thank you x little tin of coffee/tea would be ggodd

Comfortable

I loved this little studio flat. It was clean, quiet, and modern. There is no cooker but there is a multi use microwave. Very comfortable bed and great sized smart tv. No view from inside the property but go outside and you get to see most of Swanage and the bay. Beautiful scene at night. Just a warning if you do not drive. It is situated at the top of a very steep hill.It was also nice to find a pint of milk in the fridge as I had forgotten to get some!

An excellent stay - lovely & clean , warm and comfortable studio apartment . Just as described. It contained everything you needed for our stay. The host was excellent even checking in to see all was ok once we had arrived. She was incredibly responsive and helpful.

It was a lovely peaceful weekend away we loved every minute of it the only thing I had was the balcony shown in the booking pictures was not available which is what I was looking forward to

What a find this really is

The owner, Roz, left nothing off when filing this property.....it has everything you want or need. Its clean, modern, bright, quiet and thoroughly hygenic. Roz is the perfect host, completely unobtrusive ( we would have liked to have met her ) yettotally accessible if you need anything ( we didnt) 6STARS ****** for everything

Studio apartment fine, everything in order, clean and comfortable. Sadly for me, the location was not ideal as I cycle and walk and it was at the top of a steep hill, which I didn’t know until I arrived.

Perfect short stay

Very clean modern apartment, everything we needed available. Short distance to centre & beaches. Quite hilly walk back from centre though, could be difficult for someone with walking difficulties. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

2 night stay in Swanage

The property is finished to a lovely standard and was spotlessly clean in a studio flat arrangement with bed and lounge in open plan layout, large settee and smart TV. There is a small kitchenette area with sink, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave but no hob/cooker. The bathroom/shower are lovely. Access is to the side of the owners house and parking is on the drive. The hill down to Swanage front is quite steep but easily walked. Overall a great location and lovely property. Thanks for a lovely weekend away.

Beautiful little studio, perfect for our 4 day stay. Amazing views across Swanage bay and close to town, albeit a hilly walk back up. Comfy bed, tasteful seaside decor, large sofa and cute kitchenette. The bistro set and fairy lights outside were a sweet touch. Immaculately clean and well organised with thoughtful touches such as milk in the fridge on arrival. We'd gladly stay here again!
