This location is truly special! While unwinding from a long day at the beach or hiking, I sit on the lanai with a cool, refreshing beverage or lay on the bed with the windows open and I feel like I am in the most luxurious tree house, simply magical. You are atop the fragrant Plumeria Trees and you look out the bedroom window to the ocean or look out the slider, onto the lanai, for an amazing sunset, through the palm trees. Beauty embraces you! You walk out the front door, to the pool, or to the Championship Makai Golf course for a sunrise or sunset walk. Go for a short walk to Sea Lodge and there is a short trail (slippery when it has been wet)down to the beach, for snorkeling, sea turtle watch or simply enjoying the sun. The No Shore of Kauai is so lush and tropical. We have never tired of the beauty it embraces us with, year round! The sights are spectacular and abundant, as are the beaches. An outdoor enthusiasts playground and an artist's paradise! You are walking distance to cafe's, markets and simply a short drive from the legendary town of Hanalei. It continues to be our treasured home away from home, for 20 years!

About Pamela Francis
This is a family owned condo. My sister is a private chef in the S.F. Bay Area, my husband is a General Contractor, in Lake Tahoe, for 40 years (originally from the Bay Area) and I am a Realtor, at Century 21 in So Lake Tahoe and I have lived in Lake Tahoe, for 40 years (originally from the Bay Area). Our families continue to grow and we have had the most memorable, very special vacations together, on this magical island. We love to golf, hike, walk, take epic numbers of photos and relax on the beach, snorkeling, SUP and some attempts at surfing. Kauai is truly our home away from home. Lake Tahoe is also paradise, but nothing is more exciting than to know we have a tropical winter home to escape to.
Pamela Francis purchased this Condo in 2004
Why Pamela Francis chose Princeville
Our families in Lake Tahoe and San Francisco fell in love with Kauai, about 20 years ago. Once we became the owners of this special condo, our love continued to grow for this "Garden Island" paradise. When it is time for a trip, to get out of the snow, winter or simply a break from our busy lives, there is only one place that comes to my mind and that is Kauai. We have shared our love for Kauai with our children, grandchildren, other family members, friends and it has become "the paradise" for all that have experienced it. There is always a bit of sadness and a couple of tears when it is time to say Aloha!
What makes this Condo unique
We love the lush flora, waterfalls, views, scenery, birds, lizards, sunrises, sunsets, beaches, cafe's, the community, all within steps - to short drives, from our doorstep. Princeville is in the No Shore of the island, which may get a little more rain, but most of the time, it is a quick shower to cool things off, ignite the waterfalls, create magical rainbows and make all the fauna colors vibrant. The abundance of beaches is a BIG attraction for us, but I have to admit, I do have a couple of favorites. The farmers market in Hanalei is not to be missed, on Saturdays, at 9:30. The most beautiful, assorted veggies, fruits, flowers, crafts and deeelicious foods. A sweet local family plays music and sings, while you sit, enjoy your treats & the beautiful views of the mountains. Kauai is an island of outdoor activities, beautiful sights and star gazing. For those who like a little night life, you may find it at the larger resorts, where there are some spectacular island shows. If you have never been to Kauai, it is a must and I know you will return.

A delightful, peaceful place in a great location
Everything was wonderful. Easy to find the place, park, and check in. The apartment itself is clean and cozy. A cool breeze keeps the place very comfortable even when its hot outside (along with the fans if necessary), and I actually found it much more enjoyable than AC which tends to dry out the air. Fast internet.
We made breakfast every morning and ate it on the balcony while enjoying the birdsong. Basically this rental is great, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
The only downside was the kitchen (while well equipped, modern and clean) is very small. It's perfectly adequate for making breakfast or a simple dinner, but it would be harder to cook anything complicated there.
We had a very relaxing time here, enjoying long walks and the views out to the ocean. The only downside is that the kitchen is very small.
Kauai is the greatest place to unwind, isn't it? So happy you enjoyed yourselves!
The kitchen is classified as a "kitchenette" and I do hope it comes across in the website, the size. It is truly a step saver, but the best equipped and cutest kitchenette! Perfect for those into simple meals, not requiring 4 burners and an oven. ;)
Thank you so much for your time to write this review and being our guests!
P.S. For the future, you may want to look into our other unit, that has a full size kitchen. #309345.
Peaceful, beautiful, comfortable unit, perfect for two
We loved this upstairs apartment with its large light-filled bedroom (with a very good bed) overlooking a quiet golf course and ocean bluff. It has a spacious bathroom with a louvered window around the wall behind the shower: sea breezes and birdsong flow in there, as well as from the balcony off the living room and all windows. The kitchen is small but adequate; we cooked all our meals. Pamela has provided all sorts of thoughtful amenities, from plenty of nice towels to beach chairs and sunblock and bug spray for hiking—no insects on the property! We recommend this to anyone seeking a serene getaway. We hope to return.
Thank you so much for your time and kind words! Not to mention you are continuing your tropical journey, while writing this review.
You are our 1st guest to give us a beautiful water color Thank You card, of your stay! You are so talented! It is beautiful! We will find a frame for it and hang it in our condo!
We will look forward to your next trip to the No Shore of Kauai! Have a beautiful vacation and safe travels!
Super cute, recommended for North side stay!
This place was just what we were looking for. It is smaller, but for 2 people it was more than enough room. Plus, you shouldn't be in the room very much anyway, you're in Hawaii! We pretty much came back to shower or sleep, and cook some occasional meals. It does get warm sometimes, but the fans are super helpful. We did notice the window above the bed doesn't have a screen, but it looks like there is a screen on the ground below, so it must've popped out previously. But there was plenty of a breeze from the other windows. We also had a small gecko somehow make his way inside. We tried to catch him to put him back out, but he's quick. We didn't see him the last two days, so I'm guessing he made it out somehow. But on a tropical island, if I had to choose a creature to share the room with, a gecko was fine by us.
Overall it was super quaint and just what we needed for our stay. Would definitely come back. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
Thank you so much!!!!! Your time and sharing your experience are so appreciated!
Yes, that screen was discovered on the ground when the window washers came, they tried to straighten it out again and they put it back in for us. We had some strong winds one day, it must have blown out.
Thank you for being kind to the Gecko. They are good luck! Your appreciation for the tropics is well taken! ;)
We will look forward to your next stay!
The property is in a great location
Bed was comfy, bathroom very clean. Appreciated the new paint and rugs. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain on our stay so were indoors more than we had thought we would be. The next investment should be in new carpeting and updated furniture along with a tv in the bedroom. Overall a nice stay
Thank you for taking the time to write a review! Your kind words are so appreciated. I am so sorry mother nature was not cooperative with the weather during your stay.
We had a full time tenant, 17 yrs., who was retired and when she moved out recently, we had to gut the kitchenette, paint, drapes, ceiling fans, tv, new mattress and stock. We felt the flooring could be the next phase, along with replacing the oldie but goody furniture. The carpet , windows and lanai are professionally cleaned quarterly. It isn't the Ritz, ;) but our sweet home away from home, with a highly desirable location and setting! Truly a tropical, sunny and cozy unit above the tree tops, surrounded by the sounds of birds and waves crashing in the distance.
We hope you come back to Kauai, when Mother Nature brings a little more sunshine into your winter vacation. The longer periods of island rain, are fortunately not the "norm" here.
Until next time...Mahalo!
What a deal!! Perfect location
First impression was very good, nicely appointed room, big bathroom, and very comfortable! Nice views from the bedroom! Quiet and cozy! Will certainly book again, great value for Princeville. We were very pleased with our choice and will hopefully stay again soon, Loved it!
Thank you for being our guests and taking the time to write these kind words! We are very happy you enjoyed yourselves!
Until your next vacation to Kauai, Aloha!
The beauty of our location and setting is that you can enjoy all of the above activities, attractions and service/businesses, within walking distance or a short drive. There is public transportation, also but why limit yourself?
