Preciosa casa de campo con vistas al lago. Cerca del faro de Neist Point.

Pooltiel View tiene capacidad para 8 + 1 cuna (cuando se solicite) en dos habitaciones dobles y dos habitaciones dobles, tres de las habitaciones tienen baño privado y el baño familiar está adyacente a la cuarta habitación. El diseño de la casa es ideal para grandes grupos de hasta ocho, dos familias o una familia más abuelos. El salón tiene ventanas de piso a techo para aprovechar las magníficas vistas. También tiene una estufa de leña para las noches más frías de invierno. La cabaña se encuentra en un terreno natural y tiene impresionantes vistas del lago Pooltiel, el campo circundante y, en un día despejado, vistas hacia las Hébridas exteriores. Está en una ubicación tranquila, a 10 minutos a pie del muelle de Milovaig, una playa se encuentra en Glendale.

Desde el 25/06/18, se instaló una nueva banda ancha BT wifi en la cabaña. Se ha necesitado una increíble cantidad de tiempo, esfuerzo y costo para lograr esto.
Wifi también está disponible en Cafe Lephin en Glendale.

La cabaña ofrece el lugar ideal para relajarse y observar las vistas siempre cambiantes y es una base ideal para recorrer esta isla mística e histórica. La cabaña está idealmente ubicada para visitar Neist Point (a solo 2-3 millas de distancia), una de las mejores atracciones de Skye. Visite el Castillo Dunvegan (el castillo habitado más antiguo de Escocia y sede del Clan MacLeod) y haga un paseo en bote para ver las focas tomando el sol en las rocas en Loch Dunvegan, seguido de una visita a la Playa Coral en Claigan, Dunvegan. Otros viajes en barco incluyen un viaje por mar desde Portree para ver la variada vida marina y de aves, incluidas las águilas marinas, viajes en barco con fondo de vidrio y un viaje en ferry desde Uig a las islas exteriores de Lewis, Harris y Uist. Cottage with an amazing view.

Great location close to Point Neist

You will love this place if you want to get away from it all. The house is located on a very quiet street and has a great view. But note that if you want to visit other places on the island, most of those are at least one hour away.

The house was very clean and modern. The furnishings were new and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and modern. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The best thing was the view, it was awesome. I highly recommend the Pooltiel house.

Amazing location!!

The location of this home is amazing! The views across the loch of the waterfalls are beautiful. It was so great to wake up every morning and have a cup of coffee with views of the waterfalls and sheep just walking down the street. The location is beautiful and peaceful. It was easy to travel around Skye from here and visit all the sites. We enjoyed staying at home on a rainy night in front of the fire. It was very spacious for our group of 6. We had a wonderful time and would love to go back.

Wonderful, well equipped cottage

The house is brand-new and absolutely perfect for a meeting with all the family (parents, three grown-up daughters, partly with their partners). Every room has its own very comfortable bathroom, the house was clean and we liked very much the open kitchen and dining table as a central meeting place. We liked the lightness of the house, specially the roof windows, where we not only could see the weather but also hear it, which is very "gemütlich". We will highly recommend the house to friends and relatives. Thank you very much! H. + E. B.

Beautiful surroundings and a very nice house.

The setting is absolutely stunning. The view out the front windows are breathtaking. It was a great place to sit and watch the weather rolling in as we had our morning coffee. The house is nice and clean. The beds were fine and linens were OK too. Not luxury but fine. The kitchen was fine as well. The only complaint is that the wifi doesn't work at all. The description says it works intermittently but it never worked once. Otherwise a great place. I loved it.

Great views, nice house, but could be "wow"

The house is large and in a great location. It was clean and well equipped. There were a few maintenance issues, e.g. Light bulbs not working, loose toilet seats, some toilet seats missing their lids, door locks stiff and needing to be oiled. Also the sofas have seen better days. These are relatively minor issues but should really be attended to. For the price it would be good to have broadband, although the reception at Glendale hall was fine - but you do have to sit in the car park as the hall is locked when not in use.

Summer Holiday 2020

Lovely cottage in beautiful location. If you’ve never been to Skye then you should! A little more storage space would have been appreciated (both in rooms and in kitchen), but we were two families of 4 wanting our own space. Also still struggled with WiFi, but 8 of us were trying to use it at the same time.

Quiet place!!!

This place is absolutely relaxing, lovely view, fantastic equipment. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was a nice comfort for everyone as we were two families with kids. Nice place for walks and fishing! Wish we could stay longer.

Schönes Haus in toller Lage

Schönes Haus in toller Lage; relativ Nahe am Neist Point Lighthouse - Ausflug dahin sehr zu empfehlen. Ansonsten fährt man ohnehin relativ viel, um an die anderen Ecken von skye zu gelangen. Ordentliches W-LAN.

Little piece of heaven

our family really enjoyed our stay at your property. was the highlight of our 2 week vacation.lots of memories made even had a highchair and travel cot. will definitely recommend to others recommendation- indicate places to stop for groceries. Portree was closest. if known would have stopped in Bradford on way in. only issue was that the dryer didnt work well

The property is located in a quiet spot which is what we were looking for ideal for our party

This is ideally located for a quite holiday we had a disabled lady in the party of eight who was able to move about the ground floor with ease in her wheelchair The views were stunning and the wildlife (cows and sheep) were bemusing. One of our party managed to photograph a nice deer near the pier, The only thing that could be added is an outside table and chairs, overall we all really enjoyed our stay

Wonderful time at Pooltiel View 9 !

We had a really great time at pooltiel view 9! A beautiful cottage with everything you need, wondeful weather and a really great view! The cottage was very clean and well kept and had enough possibilities to get out of the way if you wanted. In the morning and late in the evening you could even see deer. The only thing we noticed is that it is very noisy in the house. So can you hear the other talking in the whole house.

Cozy, inspiring, and just ... perfect.

Pooltiel View really was a magical place to spend a long weekend - especially a wet and stormy one! The views of waterfalls blowing up the cliffs across the bay were incredible. Had great hikes to Neist Point lighthouse and around the local roads. Everything you could possibly need (plus some!) in the house to cook, stay entertained, and have great conversation around the dinner table or lounge. Yes, the wifi is spotty at best - but we were all happy to be unplugged and disconnected from the world. Thank you for such a well thought out place Peter and Wendy!

Glendale is beautiful!

We had a nice time at the Cottage. Weather was mostly good and the house is a good location for visiting the Isle of Skye! The place was clean upon arrival and easy enough to find and get in. Plenty of space for 5 adults. Our main issue was the lack of wifi. Even though it is no longer listed as available at the Cottage, it was listed as an amenity when we booked it. This caused quite a few issues for us as we were coming from out of country and our phones were having issues. Also the Glendale hall, which was stated to have wifi, apparently flooded 3 weeks before our arrival and therefore was closed leaving us without any way to get maps or directions, anyway to contact our hosts, or most importantly contact/answer questions from clients (we are self employed). We happened across the wonderful Cafe Lephin which has good wifi and the owners are lovely! They were a huge help to us and the food was delicious! We feel the hosts lack of communication about the wifi and making maps of the area available was disappointing but overall we had a great time in Skye as it is a beautiful area. The Fairy Pools, Portree, and Neist Point are all places we would highly recommend in the area!

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately we were unaware of the flood at the village hall affecting wifi, so we were unable to advise you of this in advance. As you will have read from other reviews some guests are luckier than others connecting to wifi and also some devices seem to connect better than others. We have been unable to find a fault causing the problem so we are looking into a different way to obtain good internet access. We are really sorry for any inconvenience it caused and hope it did not spoil your experience of Skye. Free broadband wifi now available at the cottage. It was a family holiday and we all enjoyed the delights of walking and photographing Skye

Pooltiel View offered very comfortable and spacious accommodation and all eight of us were very pleased. It was clean and very well laid out. The views were spectacular and the location was peaceful and all we were looking for. The fact that there was little wifi was actually a benefit and added to the peace. We aged from 6 to 67 and all ages enjoyed the holiday immensely.

Thank you for submitting your review. We are glad you all found the cottage to be very comfortable. The views from the cottage and on the rest of Skye really are spectacular. Free broadband wifi now available at the cottage. From 25/06/18 brand new BT broadband has been installed at the cottage, it has taken an amazing amount of time, effort and cost to achieve this.

Having holidayed on Skye and the West coast of Scotland over the years, we decided to build a home on Skye, for ourselves and others to enjoy.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The plot enjoys magnificent sea and rural views. It is quietly located, set in natural croft land with magnificent views of Loch Pooltiel, Dunvegan Head and on a clear day the Outer Hebridean Islands. The cottage was designed by a local architect and has been finished to a high standard.
The cottage is ideally located to visit Neist Point, one of Skye's popular attractions.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The cottage has been finished to a high standard boasting three en suite bathrooms and the main bathroom is adjacent to the fourth bedroom.
The lounge has floor to ceiling windows to take full advantage of the fantastic views. In the colder evenings it is very pleasant to sit in front of the wood burner whilst watching the ever changing vistas.
With no light pollution, at night, there are amazing starry skies.
It is possible to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights).
Highland cattle and sheep graze here in front of the cottage and there is plenty of wildlife to be seen.
