Located in beautiful Walnut Valley, Ghent KY! This newly renovated 3-bedroom log home has cozy interiors and the conveniences of home. With a mix of modern/ KY cabin décor, covered and open decks looking out at 14 private acres.
This property is minutes from the Ohio river! In less than 10 Minutes you could be crossing the river and visiting the Belterra Casino/ and Golf course resort. In as little as 45 minutes, you could be visiting the Ark Encounter or the Creation Museum.
If you like horses, you can visit Turfway Park in Florence KY.
Or just stay on the 14 private acres and enjoy the views pool side and have fun in the game room. You could also take a walk on the property down to the pond and catch some fish for dinner.
At night you can sit around the campfire and see hundreds of stars or watch fireflies light up the sky like fireworks.
One thing is for sure, you will enjoy your time at the cabin as much as your visits to the surrounding attractions.
If you're not an outdoors person, just enjoy the cabin sitting next to the fireplace playing games with family or watching one of the 4 TV's. This cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with all you will need to cook small meals to a big family style dinner. If you want a break from cooking on a stove, we have a large air fryer you can cook almost anything in minutes or throw some burgers on the Gas grill, on the deck.

Good situation but needs maintenance

This is a nice private property. Upon arrival though you walk up to a tall porch that is all open underneath and looks pretty bad. There is junk under it and not manicured at all. The steps up to the front porch are steep and the stairs themselves are very narrow as well. Nice swing and rockers on the porch.The kitchen was nice met our needs.

We enjoyed our stay. The property would be great for a big family stay. It was just us 4 and we all slept upstairs. I don’t have any complaints but we wish the pond was without algae and moss. Thanks for a great weekend!

Family vacation

Our family had a lot of fun playing volleyball in the pool. We enjoyed the games in the basement, but some of them didn’t work right or cost money. We loved seeing rabbits play in the yard and even spotted some deer. We would have loved to fish in the pond but it was totally algae covered and had very limited access for fishing. Overall our family had a great time being together at this house with it’s quiet and peaceful setting.

Great secluded location with an awesome large pool! We had a blast and would highly recommend. I do think a pull out couch or something on the landing at the top of the stairs, or even in the basement, would be a nice addition for more sleeping space.

Great, secluded hangout with plenty of room

We had a group stay the weekend in August 2024. The pool was great get away from the heat, the space was large enough to accommodate a group of adults,and the different activities (ping pong, pop a shot, air hockey) available were really fun! The kitchen had plenty of space as did the back porch to hold our large group. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed (oven, toaster,, microwave, dishwasher, stove top) and there was also a nice gas grill with extra propane. The bedrooms were all nice and cool temperature at night where everyone slept comfortably. This property is a short drive off the expressway but still offers a feeling of seclusion due to the location and size of the property. Thank you so much for being a great property!

Beautiful peaceful location fir family get together

We loved the atmosphere inside and out at the cabin. The pool, deck, and sitting areas were great for enjoying the peaceful surroundings!

Great Cabin, misleading yard

This place was great and we had a ton of fun, however there were a couple of things that we wished was improved - we assumed there would be a flat spot since this property was 14 acres, but there was probably only 1 acre mowed, and it was very hilly, so we couldn’t play wiffleball or volleyball like we had planned. The only other thing I wish was different was there was a ton of dirt in the pool. Otherwise, the cabin was great, just expect a little smaller space due to the wide lens camera pictures

Sophia's 5th birthday.

Property has a great peaceful feel. Was no way any one could take pictures as one review said they did. Dont let them scare u away. There was no one able to see the home where it sets. Pool was warm and the girls loved it. Was my granddaughters 5th birthday so i took 4 generations of family and her best friend. We all had a great time swimming. I would definitely stay again if its a little cheaper. But well worth the money for the memories made.

Rural, but not too rustic

We had a great time staying at this cabin with my brother and his family! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook lots of meals together, and having two full bathrooms was just right for our two families. The property was well-maintained and fun to explore. Our kids especially loved the game room in the basement! I did dock one star from the "accuracy of online listing" section because the listing specifically states that there are four bedrooms (1 with 2 queens, 2 with 1 queen each, and 1 with 1 twin bed), but there is NO fourth bedroom with a twin bed. That was not real great because we had chosen this property specifically because it would suit our two families perfectly thanks to that fourth bedroom. We made it work, but it was not quite what we were hoping for.

It sounds like a GREAT place to getaway from the listing. We hadn’t been there 45 minutes and neighbors were taking pictures of us. Absolutely NO privacy. Fishing pond covered in Algae. No fenced in area. Safety wise there are screws sticking out the handrails on the outside stairs. Great Concept just needs work & the neighbors put in check.

Family Vacation 2023

The property was as advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The little touches of snacks waiting for the kids and adding a blender to the appliances was really appreciated. We were able to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter as well as the stop on the Bourbon trail and one of the state parks. The family really enjoyed the pool.

Rustic Cabin

Enjoyed the very quiet setting and privacy with no close neighbors. Also enjoyed the air hockey game in basement! Would be an amazing place to stay at if property would be managed better. Booked this place because it had a pool and on arrival the pool had leaves and dirt in it and pool water was cold since they were running cold water in to fill it up more. There was ground bees under the deck and since we had small children along that wasn't the most impressive. It didn't seem like anyone had checked on things lately. Washcloths seemed to be in the minority as well. Property manager did show up and apologized for how things were and host when contacted was very apologetic.

Nice family vacation

This was our first visit to Kentucky. This was a great place for our family between visits to the Ark Encounter, Creation Museum, and Mammoth Caves. The house is on a large property with plenty of distance from neighbors and is well equipped for cooking for the family and playing games inside and out. We observed carpenter bees and woodpeckers boring into the house timbers, which did not inhibit our stay but made for some interesting noises and wood shavings.

45 minutes from ark encounter and aquarium

home was very adequate for us (4 adults + 3 teenagers) - just a few small things that the property manager fixed the second day (tv remotes did not all work and fireplace heat for home did not stay on with thermostat control) also wish we could have used the pool but not open for the season yet - enjoyed the game room in basement for the boys .. overall a wonderful setting away from the neighbors and just a short (winding KY road) to everything we needed :)

Great Cabin!

We had a good stay at the cabin! We enjoyed the rural feel, the kitchen was pretty well stocked with supplies, and the kids LOVED all the basement games! It wasn’t a season for swimming and the weather wasn’t great for doing much else outside but the porch and the fire pit would’ve been fun if the weather had been better! We visited the Creation Museum, Clifty Falls State Park, and The Ark Encounter during our stay. As a mom of five, I loved the kids bunking together in the upstairs room (we brought an air mattress for one). Little things that make my mom jobs easier like laundry baskets and spare toilet paper/ paper towels and a few dishwasher and laundry pods and plenty of hand soap at the sinks were helpful. There were just a few little tweaks I’ll try to send to the property manager but overall it was a great place to stay and we had a sweet time!

Cozy Cabin

We had a great time renting this cabin in rural Kentucky. They had a well stocked kitchen, that could use some cookie sheets, excellent table games for the kids in the basement. They really enjoyed the air hockey table. Very comfortable rooms and a lovely gathering area. The host was very accommodating when we had a small issue and very easy to communicate with. Overall it was a great stay. Thanks again!

Fabulous Christmas Cabin

With the added beauty of the snow, this cabin helped provide a amazing Christmas for our whole family. Owners and property manager were both quick to address our questions and concerns and the owner called the next day to ensure all was well. The cabin was nicely stocked with everything needed, more than enough linens,, ectra beds, TVs in all 3 bedrooms and main living area, lots of games in addition to all the activities in the basement that also has a very nice huge washer and dryer in it and with the large heater, it never got too cold down there. We had 10 adults and 2 smaller children for 7 days and with three spacious levels to spread out, we did not feel crowded at all. I really liked the cozy bedroom with the small fire place on the wall and the stand-up shower upstairs. view was definitely pretty and when the deer slowly walked by and grazed as it lightly snowed, it was simply picturesque! Some of our family was from Florida, this beautiful cabin was perfect for a wonder Kentucky Christmas. Everyone said they would love to stay here again, maybe in the Summer next time.Thank you for sharing your amazing cabin with my family and for providing us with a nice Christmas tree for our stay.

Comfortable cabin in beautiful setting

The cabin is rustic but comfortable. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Owner and manager were prompt in addressing all our questions and concerns. The cabin is older but has been updated . We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again when visiting Kentucky. Our main destination was the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. In our opinion this was a good location for visiting both.

Weekend with friends

We enjoyed our stay. The location was good, the cleanliness could have been better. The floors may have been dusted but not mopped. We could tell by the bottoms of our socks. We understand farm life, but we felt it could have been better.
