The lodge was lovely, nice to have our own private garden with the hot tub . The only thing missing was a tea towel and would have maybe been good to have a clothes airer in there as we ended up hanging things on the decking. But there was a laundry next door that i found out we could use so I was able to use the dryer .The position of the lodge meant we didn't get much sun but that didn't bother us too much.

We stayed for valentines weekend in the Blencathra Lodge, the communication prior to us staying was excellent. We were sent a detailed document with all the information we needed including recommendations of things to do in the local area. We arrived on the Friday evening and the lodge was warm, very clean and beautifully looked after. We even had some towel swans, rose petals, chocolates and heart shaped lollipops in the bedrooms, they really went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect! The beds were comfy and spacious, bathroom very clean with a large walk-in shower. Kitchen was well equipped and clean, my only small suggestion would be for them to add a griddled pan for cooking steaks as they only have frying pans/saucepans and maybe some kitchen wipes or a cloth to be able to clean the sides after cooking. Smart TV in the living room with access to apps such as Netflix/Prime etc. There is one parking space right outside the entrance to the lodge, it’s a very quiet and relaxing site, perfect for our relaxing weekend away. The hot tub was clean and ready to go for when we arrived also. We’ve stayed at a few different lodges before this one but can honestly say this is the only one we would love to stay at again and would recommend to all our family/friends if they’re looking for a weekend away.Thank you to Karina & Mathew from Crake Valley for a fabulous stay 🥰
