Limpet Cottage - Characterful harbour bowl cottage with sea views, Brixham
This quirky characterful cottage with big bay windows is situated in the highly sought-after harbour bowl of Brixham, with wonderful views of the harbour, Limpet Cottage is a classic period cottage located in one of this bustling fishing town's prettiest streets. Just a short walk to the harbour front, all the amenities of the town, and the very popular Middle Street, Limpet Cottage makes a fantastic base for exploring Brixham and South Devon.
From the road you will ascend a flight 6 steps to the entrance of the cottage which is arranged over 3 levels. On the ground floor is the double bed bedroom, large bathroom and access to the rear courtyard. The stairs take you up to the first floor to the galley kitchen and an open plan living/dining room from which there are lovely views over the rooftops to the inner and outer harbours. The next set of stairs take you to the top floor twin bedroom with an en-suite WC and sink. This Peter Pan room will have you looking for Captain Hook out of the harbour with the Golden Hind Galleon ship.
The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for catering for evening meals with the family. Brixham is foodie heaven, and you will be spoilt for choice for places to eat out from morning to night. Start your day off with a short saunter down to Brixham's artisan quarter, “Middle Street”, brimming with independent coffee shops, artisan bakeries and cafés, then browse amongst the creative retailers including some of the town's artists and photographers. For culinary enthusiasts, why not pick up some fresh fish from Brixham's famous fish market to prepare back in the cottage and then enjoy an after-dinner drink in the courtyard garden.

Sobre o anfitrião
Anfitrião: Saltwater Escapes
Saltwater Escapes is a family run business offering beautiful holiday homes along the South Devon coast.
Saltwater Escapes was started by husband and wife team Jamie and Kate. Born and raised in Brixham, Jamie spent his childhood on the local beaches and enjoyed the many outdoor pursuits Devon offers . Kate's early childhood years were also spent by the sea in North Berwick, Scotland. Later moving to rural Berkshire, Kate enjoyed much freedom outdoors in the surrounding countryside. They have subsequently had two children of their own and hope to instil in them the same love for the outdoors, a sense of adventure, and the importance of quality time together.
Regularly taking their children back down to Devon, their treasured escapes from their busy pace of life and enjoying old fashioned fun have become a family tradition. A time to switch off and relax, to get back to nature, to try something new, explore somewhere different, and most importantly to make treasured memories.
From the moment you arrive at a Saltwater Escapes property we aim to give you a warm welcome starting with complimentary welcome provisions with a few essentials and some local goodies too! All properties offer fantastic access to the towns treasure's including the many cafés and restaurants, the beaches and of course the beautiful sea. Our team of Housekeepers and Property Managers are all local should you need to call for any assistance with anything.
We love that Saltwater Escapes' properties have become a home from home for many of our customers who have stayed with us year after year and are making traditions of their own and memories to treasure.
We love partnering with holiday owners in this hidden gem of the UK. Grand Banks is a fantastic example of this.
