Esta casa tradicional de pescadores se distribuye en tres plantas y se encuentra a pocos minutos a pie del pintoresco puerto y el centro de la ciudad de Brixham. La propiedad es muy pintoresca y tiene mucha personalidad con escaleras sinuosas, rincones y grietas y una amplia sala de estar en el piso superior, aprovechando las maravillosas vistas de Brixham Quay y Marina.
La casa es una casa de vacaciones muy cómoda y bien equipada con calefacción central de gas, ventanas de doble acristalamiento y conexión inalámbrica a internet. Está situado en la parte superior de un pequeño tramo de escalones que conducen desde el puerto.

Despite the complex instructions to find the cottage, it was fairly easy.

Despite the complex instructions to find the cottage, it was fairly easy. (A quick look beforehand on Google Street View helped!) Found it best to park the car first in the Freshwater car park as you exit the harbour up the hill. This is a long stay car park costing approx. (August 2024) £10 for 24hrs. It's worth buying a permit for the week as it is valid in other car parks in the whole of Torbay too for when you trip out. It's an easy flat walk from here (and you may get a glimpse of seals close to shore) back to the harbour and the cottage is accessed via a flight of steps on the street corner. It's a charming, tiny cottage with everything you need, including wifi. A word of caution - the stairs are tricky and the door frames very low! I sliced some skin off the top of my head on one of them! As the stairs are spiral, it's best to come down the last steps backward, like a ladder. The first floor contains the bedrooms and bathroom. The top floor is the living space with an amazing view of the harbour but again be careful when taking up cups of tea due to the stairs. Having said that, we soon got the hang of it! All in all, it's an excellent home-from-home with plenty of nearby places to eat and shop, including supermarkets.

A friend who has been staying at Pilgrim Cottage for many years recommended it to me. I absolutely loved the cottage, the location and everything about the week. the views from the 2nd floor sitting room are just magical. I had caravan holidays in Brixham when I was a very small child (60 years ago!) and it is still essentially the same. My son and daughter-in-law came for 2 days in the middle of the week and they fell in love with the place straight away. they brought crabbing gear with them and we all went crabbing in the harbour. They caught 132! I caught 13! Of course we put them all back in the sea, but it is such good fun, I felt like a child again. I can't recommend the cottage more highly and am booking it again for a week in February/March next year. It is also very reasonable, as holiday cottages go. If I had a slight suggestion, it would be to provided a larger casserole dish of some kind, perhaps one that can be used on the hob and then put in the oven. Apart from that, the equipment was more than adequate. As the description clearly says, this cottage is not for small children or anyone with mobility issues, as the stairs are steep and narrow, but that is a big part of its charm. I carried food up to the sitting room in the washing up bowl, which worked really well. You have to eat up there, looking at the view I had a brilliant week, thank you. The cottage is lovely and quirky, although definitely not for anyone with any mobility difficulties,

The cottage is lovely and quirky, although definitely not for anyone with any mobility difficulties, the spiral stairs are quite steep and there is no access without steps outside! We found it very clean and given the situation, felt safe. Some of the extra comfort touches in listing photos are not there (cushions, ornaments etc) but I think this is the same for all Covid safe lettings and did not detract from the cottage. There was everything you could need, the kitchen appears newly fitted. The view over the harbour from the living area is amazing. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Love this Cottage.

Love this Cottage. Stay there every time we come annually to Brixham. Stairs are a bit challenging but worth it for the location and the amazing views from the lounge. Everything to hand and just a fabulous place to stay. Back again in April!

A beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly want. Ideal location, and the 25 steps up to the cottage are not as bad as envisaged, but the inner stairs are interesting!! The only criticism I would make as the website shows as patio/garden but cannot really be classed as that, but would not say it spoilt our holiday in anyway. Would definetely use the property again.

We have had an amazing holiday staying in Pilgrims Cottage. Everything was spotless and clean. The owner had left little notes around the house to tell you how to use the heating and the oven ect which was very useful. The view from the living room area was breathtaking. It was such good value for money. We have had a lovely week and was gutted to have to leave! Will definitely be coming back soon.
