A completely refurbished 17th floor gulf-facing front unit with wrap-around lanai. It provides the Finest View of the Marco Island Crescent Beach and the Gulf of Mexico, from both bedrooms, the dining room, the living room, and of course, the lanai! You will be awe-struck by the natural beauty that greets you!

Over-looking the pool, AND the Crescent Beach, along with Tigertail Beach to the north, you will enjoy the changing shadows and brilliance of the waters below. The culmination of the day with the spectacular sunsets viewed from your lanai, will make your vacation stay memorable for a lifetime....but you will want to return every year for that "Marco Mellow" relaxation!

This is a completely refurbished two bedroom, two bath condominium unit that provides everything you need for a week or a month or longer. We are new owners for this rental unit who are excited to offer this updated, refurbished unit for your use. We have been coming to Marco Island since 1993 and purchased a unit for our personal and family use in 2000. MORE IMPROVEMENTS NOW COMPLETE! All the windows AND door walls were replaced with top-of-the-line Windoor hurricane proof, insulated, e-glass, with white interior supports! This will further enhance your stay with much better temperature control, UV protection, and sound isolation. The sliding doors now open and close effortlessly.

HURRICANE IRMA UPDATE - 11/15/2017: Irma struck Marco Island on September 10th. Our 1711 unit was NOT damaged although some other units were. The grounds are cleared of debris and the pool has reopened.

The Living Room: provides all new comfortable furniture in coastal blues with glass-top tables. A queen sleeper sofa, love seat and beautiful side chair all positioned to enjoy the amazing beach and gulf views. An entertainment cabinet with flat screen TV along with a separate stereo to play music through your phone or iPod. High speed WiFi is available for your use, AND a new battery backup should provide continued WiFi & Internet access even during a brief electrical outage!

The Dining Room: boasts a glass topped table for 6 overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and the Marco Island Crescent Beach...what could be better!?!? Enjoy "Marco Mellow" with a meal, a conversation, or an evening snack at this beautiful table.

The Kitchen: fully equipped with granite counter tops and all new Maytag Stainless Steel appliances, dishes, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster, and more will make it easy to prepare a quick breakfast, a snack, or a full dinner.

The Master Bedroom: imagine waking up to a spectacular view of the Marco Island Crescent Beach from your king bed! All new bedroom furniture and a wall mount TV invite you to relax and sleep comfortably. Walk out directly to the lanai and sit on the chaise lounge with your morning coffee.

The Master Bathroom: offers a walk-in shower, two closets (one a walk-in), and is immediately adjacent to the master bedroom.

The Guest Room: includes new furniture with glass tops, twin beds with new linens, and a full closet. You can access the Lanai through the sliding glass door. The bathroom with tub and shower is directly across the hall.

The Lanai: don't forget to spend some time on the Lanai in your chaise lounges or have a meal at the table. A side table will hold your drinks and refreshments as you watch the sun drift down to the horizon at sunset.

We strive to provide everything you need to enjoy your Marco Mellow vacation! For your convenience, we provide a hair dryer, iron with ironing board, and a limited supply of necessary disposables to get you started, e.g. tissues, napkins, toilet paper, etc. so you don't have to run to the grocery store on your arrival. We only ask that you replenish what you use.

Whether you wish to swim at the pool or walk the beach, sit on the lanai or in the quiet of the condo, we have what you need! A beach cart, 6 chairs, a beach umbrella, a cooler, noodles and more await your arrival. Walk the beach, watch the dolphins, fish from the shore, or collect shells and sand dollars. Relax....and be Mellow!

So what is the South Seas Resort? A gated community with more than just a heated pool and direct beach access! There are many available facilities including a fitness center, tennis (on clay - extra fee), pickle ball, lawn bowling or shuffleboard. You can use the marina (fee) or simply rent a boat and follow the canals to the South Seas marina to pick up the rest of your party. Make a day of it on the water!

You can walk to Tigertail Beach which offers the convenience of rental for many water sports., e.g. kayak, paddle boards, paddle boats.

What else is there to do in the area? Lots! Golf, boating, fishing, kayaking, and more. Parasailing, jet-skis and catamaran rentals are available down the beach. Rent a boat for the day and follow the Intracoastal to Naples for sightseeing, fishing, or shelling and swimming off Keywadin Island. Kayaking Rookery Bay Preserve is just one way to enjoy the area. Rookery Bay is 110,000 acres of mangrove forests, uplands and protective waters. Within a short drive are parks with boardwalks in the Everglades, e.g. Williams Roadside Park, to view alligators, turtles and waterfowl.

Within walking distance of South Seas are some of the Island’s favorite restaurants, like NeNe’s, Doreen’s Cup of Joe, Joey’s Pizza, or Fin Bistro. Lot's of other options await you with a short drive or cab ride, e.g. Mango's Dockside Bistro, Snook Inn, Little Bar, and more!

About Rod and Jill

We have been coming to Marco Island since 1993 to vacation with Jill's parents. In 2000 we purchased a unit for Jill's parents to use for the winter, and our use at other times, so we are very familiar with South Seas. We have experienced Marco during every month of the year and love it all of the time. Of course during the winter we love to escape the cold of the north, but the summer is wonderful here too. There is always a cool breeze from the Gulf and some days you have the entire beach and pool to yourself!

Why Rod and Jill chose Marco Island

We have always wanted a south facing front unit for our retirement as the view is exceptional...truly among the best on the island. Since there are so few of these units, when 1711 became available we bought it in January 2017. We aren't ready to retire yet, so we are offering it for your use.

What makes this condo unique

This unit was refreshed in May, 2017 with new paint, carpet, appliances, dishes, pots and pans, glassware, furniture and linens. New top-of-the-line Windoor windows and sliding doors were installed in November, 2017. Since we are so familiar with Marco Island vacation life, we have tried to include everything you will need for your vacation...6 beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, beach cart, coolers and beach toys. The kitchen is fully stocked from the coffee maker to the blender. There is a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. There is a DVD player and even an extra monitor for your laptop.

Lovely and bright condo unit with a spectacular view of the beach

The condo has been recently decorated plus has a new kitchen, windows, flooring, etc.. It is tasteful, and is fresh and clean. It's a corner unit with lots of windows so it is bright, sunny and has a great view of the gulf and beach. The unit owners have gone out of their way to provide little things which i much appreciated, like paper towel and plastic wrap etc.. The condo building is located near Tiger Tail beach and Sand Dollar Spit which are two beautiful natural beach areas, gorgeous, with lots of shells, and not so many people, a wonderful beach walk. This makes it a special rental.
