Our second stay and it was just as fabulous as the first! The house is very well equipped and very clean and well maintained. Tracy the local host is very helpful and owner Nigel offers excellent insights into the local area and recommendations. The pool is a great size with comfortable loungers and a covered eating area. The annex space is a welcome additional area which our teenagers loved. The house is very comfortable and has a wonderful “homely” feel about it, we love it!

Just returned from a glorious stay at this property. Nigel and Iris went out of their way to provide information about the area and were both informative and contactable throughout. The house, pool and gardens are beautiful, best pool we've ever had but think it would benefit from a cleaning robot as the nets were difficult to get bottom of pool debris. Beautiful area that was just the right amount of quiet but with amenities in easy reach. Had slight issues with things falling through skylight and dropping things on son in bed but was quickly rectified when I reported it.Being really pernickity although spotless on arrival there were a large number of cobwebs, especially on the wall above the stairs and the doors were a little difficult to lock but honestly we couldn't have been happier with this stay and would thoroughly recommend it to anybody.

Fantastic little property

This is a delightful property in a small hamlet. The swimming pool is well appointed and provides a welcome addition on warmer days.The outside area is well maintained and is a tranquil setting in which to relax.

Highly Recommend!

Beautiful house, fab location. We had a perfect stay. The house is very well equipped, everything you need is available. Pool is a fantastic size and the gardens are beautiful and well kept. Location is ideal, a selection of large supermarkets locally and the market at Civray is def worth a visit. We loved it and would def visit again.

We had a very pleasant stay in Villa Don and Maria. Our host Nigel communicated well with us and was very accommodating. We were a party of 9 , 6 adults and 3 children. The house and annexe were suited to our needs. The swimming pool is superb, the children were never out of it all week. Gas BBQ got good use

We absolutely loved our stay at this place with the whole family! The house was really clean and had al lot of space for everyone to spread out comfortably.The pool was honestly the star of the show as we spent hours in there and it was perfect for both the kids and adults. Location-wise, you get the best of both worlds as it is peaceful and quiet, but only 10 minutes to the shops where you can grab anything you need.One thing that really impressed us was how helpful the house manager was. Being able to just WhatsApp them with questions made everything so much easier! This is exactly the kind of place we were hoping for when we booked. Everything just worked smoothly, and we could actually relax and enjoy our holiday. Would definitely recommend it to other families!

Our family holiday

The photos do not do this property justice. Never stayed in a French village before so a bit reticent however what a lovely place. Secure, private, yet open and spacious. Inside the main property the open living area works very well and the smaller gite was an added bonus especially due to the added kitchen space and utilities on offer. The pool was fantastic such a great addition which we used almost every day despite the average weather. I would say for the money this is a gem and the passion and love the owners have clearly imprinted here speaks volumes. ‘Would love to come back’ is a bit of a cliche however it’s not an understatement with this property.

Some needed down time.

Had a wonderful week in this beautiful property. It was so much more than we were hoping for. The house is tastefully decorated giving it a real homely feel along with French rustic charm, and was equipped with everything we needed. The Gite gave us even more space and equipment and is again beautifully decorated and maintained. The swimming pool is fantastic and was a real bonus in the hot weather. The shaded gazebo was also a lovely addition to the pool area. We used the large local supermarket and ate at home for 3 nights and found some great restaurants in the nearby villages to experience the local cuisine. The hosts obviously care about their guests experience and their property and we loved the welcome pack on our arrival. A great time was had by all. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic property, very well equipped, beautiful garden and great pool. Excellent welcome pack and very helpful owner. Very comfy bed. The annex is also fantastic and would be great for extended family or those with teenagers. Great for gravel/off road cycling as miles of unpaved roads and tracks. Exclusive use of the property made for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Merveilleux séjour à la campagne

La maison a un charme incroyable ! Il y a tout ce qu il faut c’est joli et chaleureux Elle est située dans un village très calme mais à quelques minutes d’une zone commerçante ce qui est pratique La piscine est sécurisée c’est parfait pour les enfants Les propriétaires sont sont très disponibles et à l’écoute Nous recommandons ++++
