The nearest town, super market is only 5 min drive away, The local town Calheta has a gold sand beach, a plesant marina area where you will find a variety of restaurants and bars.

Villa was clean and comfortable and in a great location with an amazing view. The pool was lovely and one of the best we’ve had for cleanliness and not being too strong with chemicals. Alberto was super helpful and nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely be returning to this villa on our next trip to Madeira, highly recommended.

Stunning little property

Location was superb for exploring the island as well as evening walks. The local cafe's were great for snacks and poncha! We made use of the pool and garden room most days. Views from the villa were lovely and it was very quiet and peaceful. Alberto was a fantastic host - very responsive. Would definitely recommend.

Alberto is a very friendly host and was extremely attentive during our stay. It’s an amazing location and the pool area is very beautiful as is the inside barbecue room. The only slight drawback was that several of the tiles had chipped off the pool and my youngest cut his foot on them. Also be aware that heating the pool and air-conditioning is an extra charge that doesn’t show up on VRBO.

Nice Stay in a beautiful House

Alberto and Maria were incredible and very friendly hosts. The House is perfect for a relaxed holiday and we really enjoyed the pool and the amazing view. We really recommend this accommondation and are planning to visit again.

A great base for exploring Madeira

We had a lovely stay here. The villa was great for us as it's quite high up (great views) and was also slightly cooler. Good and clean, nice pool, and friendly, helpful owner.

Great stay

Nice location to spend a holiday. No comments about the house, on the contrary: everything was completely fine. Enjoyed pool, bbq and lounge. Maria and Alberto: thanks for the nice time.

If it was for me, I would have stayed forever. The house is perfect: The view, the garden, the pool...The hosts are super nice and very helpful. And of course, the weather was awesome. I enjoyed my time on Madeira very much.

Peaceful enjoyable stay

This Villa is situated in a very peaceful area perfect for taking in the views of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. The pool was a perfect temperature during our stay in September. The villa is as described and the owners family responded efficiently when we required assistance. We would visit again.

Spacious house and pool

We had a nice week staying at Alberto and Maria's house. It is very comfortable and has everything required for a self catering holiday. The beach and supermarket in Calheta are easy to get to. Pool was fantastic - we used it every day. Beds really comfy and kitchen fully kitted out.

FABULOUS! Comfortable & relaxing.

We loved our stay here over the Xmas period. Blessed with great weather we were able to take full advantage of the pool and the facilities, which did upset our plans for touring, and gave us the unexpected full relaxation a holiday should provide. The BBQ feasts, a stunning Xmas Day sunset and several starlit skies were just what we love. The property had all the necessary requirements and we would happily return again.

Lovely house with private pool and fantastic view

We appreciated the tranquil location of the house and the warm ambiente of Arco de Calheta. The spacious rooms and excellent equipement made our stay very comfortable. We used the pool every day and our son really liked to jump into the water even at night when the pool was illuminated. A place to come back.

We loved this villa, and recommend it , especially the heated pool. We has lots of local walks The problem with automatic gate was quickly fixed by the owner. Sadly there were 2 burnt out cars outside gates which created neglected look to the area.

Great house with private pool

We loved our stay here. The owners were very helpful. The pool was perfect with the added bonus of the BBQ room at the end of the garden. Great view down to the sea. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. You most definitely need a car. We struggled to find the house initially but once use to the neighbourhood it is fine.

The property is very comfortable with great views over the coast.

When we arrived we were met by the owners’ parents who showed us around the spotless and well appointed property. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom and shower first rate. The heated swimming pool was nice to cool down in after an enjoyable day’s walking. The views over the coast were spectacular from the terrace and living room. A car is absolutely essential. Thoroughly recommended.

Amazing!

It was everything we hoped for and a lot more. We really enjoyed the amazing views, the pool, the indoor bbq and the privacy. We would love to keep this a secret to ourselves but that is a bit selfish! Go to this wonderful property and bask in all the joys that this fantastic island has to offer has to offer.. We aim to return soon rather than later!

Can’t wait to return It was a perfect for us if anything it’s a little undersold the pictures really don’t the villa Justice . Alberto and Maria are the perfect hosts, attentive that we felt would have been available anytime if needed . The villa was spotlessly clean & well appointed .?close enough to anything you needed and far enough away for a peaseful break & the pool was spotless perfect temperature and plenty big enough .

Wonderful Madeira.

Modern, spacious well designed property in a quiet location with ample facilities for a comfortable self catering holiday. Surrounded by magnificent mountainous scenery, we enjoyed a months stay in February, and were fortunate to have good weather on 26 of our 28 days stay. Alberto and Maria are lovely people who care about their guests, communication throughout was excellent, we hired a car at the airport and the satnav link Alberto provided took us straight to the property where he was waiting to greet us.This was our fourth visit to the beautiful island of Madeira and probably the best, it left us wanting more. The property is located approximately a ten minute drive from the town of Calheta where you will find a Marina and a good selection of restaurants, there is also a Pingo Doce supermarket that is open seven days a week until 10pm each day 👍😎

Fantastic

This is a true Gem. The owners are fantastic and welcoming. The place itself is clean and quiet with such beautiful views. You will need a car as you are about 1/2 way up the mountain and please make sure you contact the owners before arriving and use there directions as google will send you on a wild ride you will not like. My wife and I and my daughter who stayed with us loved the place and the location. The sunsets are incredible. We like to move around and loved the location for that ability. The only suggestion I have is plastic glasses for outside and a few more especially larger glasses as I like my beer. We highly recommend this gem Wonderful spot wonderful people and the sunsets are unbelievable.
