This villa is located in Arco da Calheta, South West part of the Island, you will be blessed with amazing sunset views over the Atlantic Ocean. The nearest town, super market is only 5 min drive away, The local town Calheta has a gold sand beach, a plesant marina area where you will find a variety of restaurants and bars.

Wir haben uns in unserem Ferienhaus sehr wohl befĂŒhlt. Die Lage war perfekt, die Ausstattung war modern und die Aussicht atemberaubend.Es gab nur ein paar kleine MĂ€ngel die uns aufgefallen sind.Das große Bad ist schlecht zu beheizen in den kĂ€lteren Monaten aber es ist ja ein zweites Duschbad vorhanden.Am Pool sind einige Fliesen defekt an denen man sich verletzen kann.Trotzdem wĂŒrden wir dieses Ferienhaus wieder mieten und empfehlen es uneingeschrĂ€nkt weiter.Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Umgebung ist einfach ein Traum.Vielen Dank fĂŒr alles.Liebe GrĂŒĂŸe Michael und Barbara

Villa was clean and comfortable and in a great location with an amazing view. The pool was lovely and one of the best we’ve had for cleanliness and not being too strong with chemicals. Alberto was super helpful and nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely be returning to this villa on our next trip to Madeira, highly recommended.

Alberto is a very friendly host and was extremely attentive during our stay. It’s an amazing location and the pool area is very beautiful as is the inside barbecue room. The only slight drawback was that several of the tiles had chipped off the pool and my youngest cut his foot on them. Also be aware that heating the pool and air-conditioning is an extra charge that doesn’t show up on VRBO.

Gutes Ferienhaus mit sehr freundlichem Vermieter

Alberto ist ein sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Vermieter. Er hat realistische Vorstellungen und viel Erfahrung bei der Vermietung von FerienhĂ€usern. Auf unsere extrem verspĂ€tete Ankunft hat er trotz seiner Arbeitszeiten RĂŒcksicht genommen und uns noch in der Nacht den SchlĂŒssel ĂŒbergeben.Das Haus selbst ist gut in Schuss, könnte jedoch an der ein oder anderen Stelle ein paar Schönheitsreparaturen gebrauchen. Die Lage ist wirklich ruhig und die Aussicht wunderschön. Das Ferienhaus ist insgesamt ein Preis-Leistungs-Gewinner.

Stunning little property

Location was superb for exploring the island as well as evening walks. The local cafe's were great for snacks and poncha! We made use of the pool and garden room most days. Views from the villa were lovely and it was very quiet and peaceful. Alberto was a fantastic host - very responsive. Would definitely recommend.

Une parenthÚse enchantée

Nous avons séjourné dans ce logement durant une semaine début avril.Maria et Alberto sont de trÚs bons hÎtes, ils sont arrangeant pour l'heure d'arrivée lorsqu'il n'y a pas eut de locateurs avant. Nous avons pu accéder au logement à 12H. Ils restent disponible durant tout le séjour au moindre problÚme, ils sont trÚs réactifs.Le logement est trÚs sympathique, il dispose de tout le nécessaire pour le séjour. La vue est magnifique, a mis chemin entre mer et montagne, le silence y rÚgne.Plein de chose à faire à proximité.La piscine est un petit plus mais nous n'avons pas pu en profiter à cause de la météo.Il y a aussi une terrasse couverte avec BBQ qui est trÚs utile pour les jours de pluie.Merci à Maria et Alberto de nous avoir accueilli.

Erholung pur

Wir haben 14 Tage im Haus von Maria und Alberto verbracht. Das Haus ist ruhig gelegen und man hat einen tollen Blick runter auf den Ort und auf das Meer. Der Pool war das "SahnehÀubchen" unseres Urlaubs und wurde nach jeder Tour gerne genutzt.

Nice Stay in a beautiful House

Alberto and Maria were incredible and very friendly hosts. The House is perfect for a relaxed holiday and we really enjoyed the pool and the amazing view. We really recommend this accommondation and are planning to visit again.

Nice view and a great pool

We stayed in the accommodation for 2 weeks. The view & the pool were great. We also used the grill house & were satisfied. Alberto was very friendly & check-in was without any problem. The communication with him was great. But now comes the but: Unfortunately, the house was very damp overall. We aired it out a lot, but it was still damp. The cupboards smelled musty. The furnishings in the house were OK. However, some of everything was a little broken, for example, there were only three chairs to sit on outside, one of which was no longer very functional. That was OK for us, as there were only two of us traveling. However, the accommodation can also be rented for four people, so one chair would be too few. The kitchen equipment could also be expanded a bit. We managed, but a simple pair of scissors or a small pot would be a useful addition to the kitchen. Unfortunately, we also had a lot of vermin in & around the house. I know that the house is in the nature & that some things cannot be avoided. But ants in the kitchen & cockroaches in the living room? I don't know... We always put all the food away, so the ants had no reason to come back into the kitchen, but every morning they were back around the sink. And the cockroaches appeared in the living room and on the terrace. Of course, that wasn't very attractive. I think if the landlords put more effort into the house, it could be a big win for everyone. But all in all, we were still able to relax & had a nice holiday.

A great base for exploring Madeira

We had a lovely stay here. The villa was great for us as it's quite high up (great views) and was also slightly cooler. Good and clean, nice pool, and friendly, helpful owner.

Magisch Madeira

We hebben hier een heel fijne vakantie gehad. We houden van rust, de voor sommigen eerder afgelegen ligging was voor ons dus een pluspunt. Boodschappen doen we onderweg, want we gaan meestal alle dagen wel ergens wandelen of iets bezoeken. De veranda was leuk, omdat het 's avonds toch soms nog te fris was om buiten te zitten. Het is een ruime, leuke vakantiewoning. Fijn zwembad. Gemakkelijke, vlotte communicatie met de verhuurder. In een eerder review werd de opmerking gemaakt dat er meerkost was voor airco en verwarming van het zwembad. Misschien zou het beter zijn als dit in de advertentie vermeld werd. Maar airco hebben we niet nodig gehad, de woning is gemakkelijk te verluchten en het koelt ook 's avonds af tot een aangename temperatuur (2 jaar geleden waren we in augustus in Madeira, en toen was het 's nachts ook niet te warm om te slapen). Verwarming van het zwembad was voor ons niet nodig.

A lot of time spent in car

Don’t stay here if you plan to hike the mountains, levadas or do anything besides chilling by the pool. 25 fontes and Levada Nova is pretty much all you can do in the region, everything else is going to be a lot of time spent in the car. Early wake ups, one lane roads and tunnels will exhaust you. The property itself is ok, little bit dated, with annoying water pressure, but it gets you through the night. There is additional fee for pool heating (absolutely understandable) and AC.. the AC fee is pretty funny since you’re paying quite a lot for a night. Total AC per day is 30€, pool heating around 20-25 per day. It would be nice to mentioned this in the description on site BEFORE renting. The house is up in the mountain, by the big wall, under the road - it gets really humid and smelly inside - you’ll have to either vent a lot or pay for the AC. The shower renovation is long overdue.. each time you’ll try to move the shower door, it will pop out of the rail, stop, or jam. Also be careful with food, there are ants around the sink. The access to the house is quite steep and narrow and requires a little bit more skilled driver. You can park your car up on the road. Communication and check in/out was ok. Alberto is skilled speaker and English is no problem for him.

Endroit magique

The House ist not easy to find. It would be helpfull to get a copy of a map for the arrival. Alberto and Maria are wonderfull Hosts.

Wonderful Madeira.

Modern, spacious well designed property in a quiet location with ample facilities for a comfortable self catering holiday. Surrounded by magnificent mountainous scenery, we enjoyed a months stay in February, and were fortunate to have good weather on 26 of our 28 days stay. Alberto and Maria are lovely people who care about their guests, communication throughout was excellent, we hired a car at the airport and the satnav link Alberto provided took us straight to the property where he was waiting to greet us.This was our fourth visit to the beautiful island of Madeira and probably the best, it left us wanting more. The property is located approximately a ten minute drive from the town of Calheta where you will find a Marina and a good selection of restaurants, there is also a Pingo Doce supermarket that is open seven days a week until 10pm each day 👍😎

Spacious house and pool

We had a nice week staying at Alberto and Maria's house. It is very comfortable and has everything required for a self catering holiday. The beach and supermarket in Calheta are easy to get to. Pool was fantastic - we used it every day. Beds really comfy and kitchen fully kitted out.
