Cliff House

House located above the village and beach/sea of ​​Calheta, Madeira Island. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen and BBQ. It also has a large terrace and access to common areas; swimming pool, large gardens and private viewpoint. The common areas are shared with two other small units I own in the same location (Stone House and Viewpoint House).
This house has a maximum capacity of 4 people (it can also accommodate small children, as we have a portable crib).
Cliff House benefits from being located on the cliff, right above the beach and the sea of ​​Calheta.
Here you can hear the murmur of the sea, the singing of seabirds and land birds, and delight in unforgettable sunsets. And all in a calm, tranquil, and pollution-free environment.
It lies on the route of the well-known trails and levadas of Madeira, as well as having excellent access to the protected Laurissilva Forest.
The house is simple, as is the place. Yet subtly different. It's certainly a good place to visit and stay.

Note: Not accessible to wheelchair users. Access is on foot via a path, and parking is available in a free public area.

Our guests have access to the house's services, the shared swimming pool, the barbecue area, the spacious gardens, and the (private) viewpoint.
Other notable aspects
Come with a spirit of discovery and a heart open to adventure. Madeira is exactly that: a delightful adventure.

Note: Reservations are accepted for a minimum period of 6 days.

The Municipal Tourist Tax due to the Municipality of Calheta is already reflected in the final price.
All bookings made from October 2024 onwards already include this component.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Nelson’s house in Calheta. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The house has such a cozy and inviting atmosphere, it immediately felt like a home away from home.One of the highlights for us was the beautiful garden & ocean view. It’s clearly cared for with love, and it creates such a peaceful setting to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The view from the property is absolutely stunning, and spending time outside, whether in the morning or at sunset, was a real pleasure.The house itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. It suited us perfectly and provided a great base to unwind and enjoy the area.As mentioned in the description, it is a cliff house, so you walk down to reach it. Parking is available on the side of the road, and there are steps leading to the house. For us, the steps were completely manageable, but it may not be suitable for someone with mobility difficulties.Overall, we really enjoyed the house, the garden, and the incredible view. It was the perfect place for what we needed, and we would happily stay again.

Unser Aufenthalt im Cliff House war einfach unvergesslich. Lieber Nelson, vielen Dank für deine außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft! Schon bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir mit frischen Bananen aus deinem Garten und weiteren madeirischen Köstlichkeiten herzlich empfangen. Du warst jederzeit erreichbar, hast uns wertvolle Tipps für unseren Urlaub gegeben und jede Frage freundlich beantwortet.Das Haus ist für eine vierköpfige Familie ideal, zweckmäßig eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Das absolute Highlight ist jedoch die atemberaubende Aussicht. Wir konnten regelmäßig Delfine und sogar einmal Wale direkt von der Küche aus beobachten. Jeden Abend wurden wir mit traumhaften Sonnenuntergängen verwöhnt – ein Anblick, den wir nie vergessen werden.Der liebevoll angelegte Garten lädt zum Entspannen ein und der Gemeinschaftspool, den sich nur drei Häuser teilen, war jederzeit angenehm nutzbar.Wir haben zwei wundervolle Wochen im Cliff House verbracht und waren wirklich traurig, diesen besonderen Ort wieder verlassen zu müssen. Wer Madeira von seiner schönsten Seite erleben möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Sehr gut eingerichtetes Haus, Top-Lage mit Wahnsinns-Aussicht und sehr, sehr nettem und hilfsbereitem Vermieter. Zur Wahrheit gehört aber auch, dass das Haus nur über 82 steile Stufen erreicht werden kann und keinesfalls barrierefrei ist, was leider nicht im Inserat steht.Sauberkeit und Einrichtung sind top, Pool und Garten sind in der Nähe, aber nicht unmittelbar am Haus. Man sollte ein furchtloser Autofahrer auf Madeira sein, die Straßen sind z. T. eng und sehr steil.

Das Cliff-House ist erstklassig

Ein wunderschön und modern eingerichtetes Haus in 167m Höhe über dem Meer in erster Reihe. Süd-/Ostlage. Große Terrasse, Pool, liebevoll eingerichteter Garten. Freundlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber, der uns zudem mit Tipps für Restaurants und Wanderungen versorgt hat. Echter Top-Tipp. Nur ein Hinweis: "nicht barrierefrei" da nur über Treppen (echt etwas sportlich) erreichbar. Für uns: jederzeit wieder!

Séjour Madère

Séjour sur cette magnifique île de Madère où nous avons été reçu très chaleureusement par Nelson Silva. Magnifique location où la vue est imprenable. La piscine est un vrai plus, surtout quant vous arrivez avec des enfants. Je recommande vivement ce gîte.

Atemberaubende Aussicht und toller Garten

Gerade weil dieses Mal das Wetter sehr launisch war, haben wir besonders das sehr saubere, helle Haus und den liebevoll angelegten Garten mit den sehr vielen Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten bei unterschiedlichen Windrichtungen genießen können. Die Aussicht ist sowohl vom Garten als auch von der Wohnküche aus atemberaubend schön. Man sollte wissen, dass es keinen Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür gibt und man einen längeren Zugang und Treppen zum Haus hat. Der sehr nette Besitzer hat unsere Koffer sowohl bei der Anreise als auch bei der Abreise für uns getragen. Eine Spülmaschine wie sie in der deutschen Übersetzung angegeben ist gibt es nicht. WLAN ist voll ausreichend.Wir wurden vom Besitzer mit Bananen, Avocados, Wein und Madeirawein verwöhnt. Vielen Dank nochmals! Volle Empfehlung!
