First of all, we would like to explain that power cuts are a common occurrence in the country. Most of them are caused by the ageing electricity grid and may result from excessive demand, weather conditions or wildfires. Others are scheduled maintenance interruptions, which are announced by the electricity provider between one and seven days in advance. As soon as we receive notification through the official announcements, we make sure to inform guests staying in the affected areas so that they are aware of the situation. This is exactly what we did in your case. If local residents had received different information, unfortunately, this is something we have no access to, as we rely on the provider’s official announcements. Your stay was booked one month in advance, so based on the information available to us at the time of the booking, there was no way we could have known about the scheduled interruption. We are sorry that a problem affecting the wider local community had affected also your stay, and we believe it is important to distinguish between circumstances beyond anyone’s control and any shortcomings in the services provided.
