This house was just perfect for our family gathering. It has everything you need to keep adults and children entertained. The swimming pool was a massive hit with the children.

Family Escape tot he Highlands

This property met all our expectations - and hopes. Chris is an outstanding owner and helped us with all the extras - including funding us a wonderful piper to add that extra special atmosphere to our stay and a driver to tour the Spey Valley distilleries. We were all thrilled with our experience adn the house provided all the children (young and young at heart) with opportunities to play and interact.

An amazing experience

I brought 21 women to Polmaily House. We came to hike in the area. The house was just perfect! The pool, media room, sitting and gathering areas, kitchen, all perfect! Chris was so gracious and accommodating. He recommended Aggie from Heavy Metal Munchies to cater during our time there. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of room for all of us to sit and have our meals together. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a home base in the highlands of Scotland.

We are only a 3 minute drive away from Loch Ness, set in the glorious Scottish Highlands countryside, where there is nowhere better to get a restful night sleep.

The area offers so much to visitors including the historic Castle Urquhart, Loch Ness cruises, the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre, cafes and restaurants and for the more active - golf, walking in the Great Glen Way, fishing (including on site) and many, many more.

Or you may just wish to stay on site at Polmaily House to play tennis or fish or swim or even make use of the private cinema room (by appointment only). There is so much to do to make your stay such a memorable one.

Why they chose this property

Inverness airport is a 35 minute drive away and the local village is just 1.9 miles away. There is public transport into Inverness from the end of the drive at Polmaily House, but your own transport really is recommended. There are beautiful walks just a few minutes' drive away, including Plodda Falls and Dog Falls, in the stunning Glen Affric.
