Ideally situated, in the heart of historical Paris, between Opera and Republique, just steps from the lively pedestrian gourmet Rue Montergueil, Maison le Bac building dates back to 17th century during the reign of Henry IV, housing the royal grooms and stables. The metro station is just steps away with direct access to the Champs Elysees, Trocadero, the Eiffel Tower. The famed department stores of Printemps and Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussman are at walking distance.
Perfect location! Absolutely loved our apartment layout: lots of mirrors made it feel a lot bigger than the actual square footage, and the one stone wall gave it so much extra character! No elevator – only stairs – but we did not mind a bit. Our only disappointment was that the internet went out on a Thursday; they communicated well with us on Friday that it was in the process of repair, but it was not fully restored by Friday night, and because it was the weekend, it wouldn’t be fully restored until late Monday, which is after we checked out. That is not the fault of Maison le Bac - just a really unfortunate incident that plagued us all.
