This gated development of apartments overlooks the beautiful Fishcombe Cove. Curlew 3 is a ground floor apartment, sitting in the middle row, accessed by a small number of steps from the path.

For walkers, you couldn't get closer to The Southwest Coastal Path, including scenic local 11-mile routes from Brixham to Dartmouth in one direction, and Brixham to Babbacombe in the other.

Inside, the property has a spacious feel generated by a cool neutral colour scheme. There is a games room off the kitchen including table football, air hockey and pool ensuring fun for all the family regardless of the weather.

The glass-front balcony — easily accessed from the lounge and master bedroom — features a large barbecue as well as a dining set-up. Enjoy Brixham's range of meat and fish even if the town's in-demand restaurants are booked up, from the comfort of your own balcony.

This family-friendly property means no loved one need be left behind. Children will love to swim and play in the development's heated outdoor pool. Returning guests to the Bay often choose The Cove again!

A wonderful half term break

We stayed for five nights over half term and we both agreed it's been our favourite UK holiday to date. Brixham is a fabulous central location to visit many surrounding locations, including a day trip to Dartmouth on the steam train and ferry and Paighton zoo was a lovely day out too. Brixham itself is a gorgeous little town and enjoyed sitting by the harbour side, taking in the views while crabbing. Curlew 3 was the perfect spot to enjoy the fabulous views across Fishcombe Cove, with private entrance to the little beach on the cove, which has a hut serving coffee and snacks! Saving the best till last, the apartment itself- every detail thought of, comfy beds and very clean. Lovely addition was the air hockey and pool table, which our 6 year old loved! We'll be back in the summer months to enjoy the outdoor pool :) thank you for a wonderful stay.

A Wonderfully Relaxing Sanctuary!!!

We selected Curlew 3 from the site because of the additional games room, even though it was just for the two of us, it's nice to have the extra space that comes with a 6 berth apartment. My birthday week, and what an excellent choice. Gated development and secure parking were requirements, as was a Sea View and easy access to nearby Brixham Harbour (15 mins walk with minimal steps). All boxes ticked, we arrived, and what an absolutely SPOTLESS apartment, sanitary cleaned, and offering every thing (and more) than anyone would need, a properly equipped "Home from Home". The view from the terrace isn't panoramic due to the unit between, but does give a good Sea outlook and of the Cove below, but having another apartment above, some noise from the "Clog Dancing" holiday folks in attendance for 2 nights was noticable, but certainly didn't spoil it and most people don't dance in Clogs anymore anyway (thankfully!). We totally enjoyed our 6 nights here, slept soundly every night, all the other "residents" some permanent, are as friendly as you want, or don't, want them to be, plus the grounds are excellently maintained, there's even a private open air heated swimming pool on a lower level, again, Sanitary Clean!! Would we stay again, Absolutely, we're just planning our return visit, hopefully in October for another week. Our total thanks to the owners for providing such a well equipped and maintained apartment, and to My Brixham Holidays for taking care of our occupation, kind regards Anton and Alison

Great place to stay with wonderful views of the cove

A peaceful and relaxing stay, this is the second visit and each time it has been simple to book and easy self service check-in process. Having a parking space is a huge benefit in Brixham and once we parked up could walk everywhere easily.

Pleasant stay

Overall a very pleasant holiday. Having previously stayed in another appartement the view from this one was very inferior but we could see the sea. Parking was limited to a single space so as we were two couples one car had to be parked way off site. A bit inconvenient. The onsite pool was very welcome and pleasantly warm The location was ideal for a 15 minute stroll into Brixham along the coast path. Access to the neighbouring campsite for restaurant and shop was appreciated.

Disappointing

It was very difficult to locate the apartment. The apartment was a lot smaller than it looked on the website. Very little room around the beds in the two rooms. The main bed was only a double The mattresses were very uncomfortable. The furniture in the lounge area especially the table seats were extremely uncomfortable. The partial view was disappointing.

Great views, great place, great vacation

Curlew 3 is a great apartment for a couple or a family. My kids (14/9) love it! It is well maintained and the owners have thought of everything and more from books, games, binoculars, games table, TVs in the bedrooms, lovely patio furniture, folders of instructions and information readily accessible should you require it. The kitchen is well stocked with washing machine and a freezer in the back. The back areas gives you extra space to store things too which is handy. The only thing that annoyed me a little was the tiny fridge! It’s not the size or shape which fits much at all so just be mindful what you bring and be good at Tetris to get it all in! The parking spaces are small and there are visitor spaces but “some residents “ get a bit upset if you use visitor spaces and not your allocated space (left a note on my windscreen)- it’s great there is parking but getting in and out with kids and shopping can be a little challenging if people don’t park evenly and because they aren’t that big! However rare to have parking in some places so welcomed too. The pool was lovely- closed a few days due to an easterly wind (?!), closes quite early too. However it’s a nice addition to your stay in the summer months. The location is great- the views are lovely. There is a slight obstructed view but it doesn’t spoil it really and it’s peaceful and beautiful sitting on the patio and even looking out from the main bedroom. It’s a short 10-15 min walk to Brixham centre. A nice stroll through the park area. Costal path access for walking days and lots of accessible places to travel to- Eden project (2hr drive), Plymouth (1hr), Exeter (45mins), Dartmouth, Tourquay etc. we visited the underground passages, the steam train, ferry service, Kent’s cavern, Eden, marine museum, model village, fishing trip (caught no fish!!) etc. The coves and beaches are lovely and watching the fishing boats go in and out whilst eating and drinking at Rock Fish. Sightings of Dolphins if you are lucky and a few resident seals. Easy to book and get in touch with Brixham Holidays if you need to. We will definitely return and only wish for had a place like this myself (with a smaller car!) ;)

Lovely location and will return.

The apartment was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need for self-catering and for entertaining the family should the weather deteriorate and you wish to stay in, though the Smart TV was somewhat limited in its functions being an older model and access to the HDMI ports was exceedingly limited making use of our Firestick challenging. The apartment was smaller than it appeared in the photographs on the website and had a significant amount of cobwebs and dust around the peripheries of the rooms, and the view across the bay was partially obstructed by the apartments in front of Curlew 3, though these minor points did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay with the decked area having good seating and the BBQ and outdoor heated swimming pool being great bonuses. The location is amazing with well tended grounds and great views across the bay towards Torquay and beyond and the small beach below the property was easily accessible and Brixham waterfront and town centre was only a 15 minute walk around the headland, though the path was not suitable for anyone with significant mobility difficulties. We will almost certainly be returning for further staycations in the future.
