Gorgeous apartment situated at a ground floor level in a beautiful 19th-century villa in Piano di Sorrento on the Sorrentine Peninsula. The property is surrounded by a private, walled lemon grove which is a distinctive part of local culture and heritage. Piano di Sorrento is a short drive to beautiful Sorrento town and a perfect place to explore nearby destinations, such as the Amalfi Coast, Capri and Pompeii. The apartment boasts a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom; a charming large traditional kitchen with wood fire pizza oven; an extra room with a double sofa bed; a second bathroom with shower; and the grand salon, the highlight of the property with floor to ceiling windows, painted frescoes and a fireplace. You can dine in the kitchen or eat al fresco in a mature, well-kept garden, under a pergola covered with wisteria.

Large apartment in authentic town

The property is a large walled estate filled with gardens and lemon trees for sitting in the sun or enjoying a meal or book outside. The property is secure and offers private parking. The host Andrea is proactive, friendly and happy to ensure the best experience throughout your stay. He left welcome gifts in the fridge and provided ample amenities between the kitchen and bathrooms, to meet your travel needs. The location was a short walk to the town of piano di sorrento, train station and beaches. The apartment is clean, large and full of character, reminding you of the history of this property. Plenty of space to come together with others in your party or grab some quiet alone time if needed. The renovation work left us undisturbed, we didn’t hear it or notice it during our stay. It was a pleasure meeting Andrea and staying at his family’s property.

Amazing historic building, with good location and great host.

I stayed here with my wife and another couple. This was our first stop in italy and didnt know what to expect, but what we received was a great start of our vacation. The host Andrea, met us AT the train station and walked us to his villa. He even carried one of our larger suitcases while giving us information about the city and his house. He couldnt have been a nicer guy and was very attentitive to anything we needed. I feel like i made a friend and not just a transaction. The house was very charming and made you feel like you were in historic italy. The location was really good too, only a 5 minute walk to the train station and a 10 minute ride to sorrento. If you want to stay in a town out side of sorrento but close to everything, id recommend staying with Andrea at his place. I give it a 10 out of 10!

AWESOME, amazingly historic and authentic villa!

This place is stunningly amazing! And the host, Andrea is absolutely kind and incredible. His attention to detail and genuine level of concern for our family to have the best possible stay at his family’s villa was unparalleled. He was easily reachable for any question we may have had. The Villa was very clean, beautifully appointed and amply stocked with all the amenities our family needed. The grounds were full of the families original lemon grove, wisteria vines and beautiful flowers, all of which were center for our private outdoor sitting place. Everywhere we looked, took us back in time, yet amenable to todays standards; exactly what our family wanted to experience during our stay in Italy. We stayed 10 days and were conveniently and centrally located to Sorrento, Meta, Pompeii, Amalfi coast, etc. via the train, a short 5 min walk from the villa. Piano’s beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, town center, museums, etc. we’re also located within a short walking distance of the villa. The view from Piano’s harbor (where we walked to for our morning sweets and coffee) is indescribable….The preservation of the villa’s history, and the family’s history was evident, and honored everywhere you looked. Although, preservation is still going on to the outside of the villa, it was very quiet and hardly noticeable during our stay. If you are traveling to Sorrento area, and want to experience more of the Italian culture and it’s people, yet be close to Sorrento this is THE place!

We feel blessed to have had Michelle and her family over. She was very considerate, attentive and respectful of our family's villa and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful guest. Everything was left clean and tidy and she's been so easy going about everything that it was such a pleasure to deal with. We genuinely feel like she and her family will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank Michelle for being the special person that you are!
