Pretty cottage near the sea, Poppy Cottage

Poppy Cottage is the perfect holiday home for a romantic getaway, or a much-needed family break by the sea. Named after the family’s beloved pet, your four legged friend can join you as well. The cottage is nestled in the pretty village of Kingsdown on the East Kent coast. It has a local store and post office, a butchers, and friendly pub. The beach is a few minutes walk away, where you will find The Zetland Arms, a lovely beach front pub that looks out onto the white cliffs. Poppy Cottage is light and bright and beautifully decorated by the owner. It has an open space ground floor with sitting room and kitchen, with a large dining table and comfortable bench seating, and outside is a lovely long, fully enclosed garden laid to lawn and part decked to form a platform for dining. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a cloakroom. From the cottage you can walk along the coastal path to Deal and Walmer in one direction and St Margaret’s Bay and Dover in the other, so plenty of things to do, places to explore and history in which to immerse yourself.
