Jane was so nice! She called me and was so friendly! The place is adorable! The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, and the decor was so cute! We absolutely loved this place by the sea.

Lovely cottage, exactly as shown and described. Everything we needed to feel comfortable for our short break was provided and my 3 year old grandson was thrilled with the games in the cupboard The only reason we scored it 4 out of 5 is that the interior of the well thought out renovated cottage needs some upkeep and the cleanliness left a little to be desired. It is literally across the road from Sandgate Beach (pebbles) which was very pleasantly busy with families whilst we were there with lots of kayaks/body boards/surf boards in use. It is true that there is some free parking on the road that runs along the beach but it was very busy and the time limit should you get a space is 2 hours. However, the cottage backs on to Castle Rock Car Park where tariffs are enforced between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The cost to park for 10 hours is 6.80.The buses that run along Sandgate High St take you into Folkestone Harbour or Dover in one direction and Hythe in the other. All in all a lovely property in a very convenient position.

A comfortable cottage full of character. So close to sandgate beach (pebble and shingle) and an easy walk along the seafront right into folkestone (2 miles). We did have some communication issues initially but these were quickly sorted

Süßes englisches Häuschen

Daa Häuschen ist super gemütlich ubd liebevoll eingerichtet. Es ist alles da was man braucht und wir haben uns sofort wohlfühlt ! Die Lage ist wirklich super, nur dass der Strand nicht so badefreundlich ist wie gehofft. Für Kinder eher nicht zum Baden geeignet, da starke Brandung und Strömung und grober Kies der keinen Halt bietet. Aber ein paar Meter weiter Richtung Hafen wird's besser. Das Haus ist aber toll und kompensiert dafür. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Schöne Lage - leider etwas unhygienisch

Das Cottage an sich ist sehr schön. Die alte Bausubstanz macht den Charme des Cottages aus. Die Lage am Meer perfekt. Wir hatten im Vorfeld auch sehr lieben Kontakt mit Fewo/den Vermietern. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass das Cottage nicht wirklich geputzt wird. Bad und Gäste WC waren sauber, da gab es nichts zu meckern. Aber in der Küche war Schimmel am Silikon, die Mikrowelle hat innen einen roten Schmierrand und der Wasserkocher ist schmuddelig. Die Fenster, d.h. die Rahmen wurden scheinbar mehrere Jahre nicht geputzt. Bei den klimatischen Bedingungen führt das leider auch zu Schimmel. Was man an den Fensterrahmen sehen kann. Die Fußböden haben teilweise geklebt. Die Schränke in den Schlafzimmern sind leider mit verschiedenen Sachen so vollgestopft, dass man da nichts mehr unterbekommt. Es wirkte auch so, als ob da einfach die vergessenen oder liegen gelassenen Sachen hineingestellt wurden. Das Cottage wäre wirklich super - wenn mehr auf die Sauberkeit geachtet und die Schränke entrümpelt werden würde.

Cosy cottage in great beach side location

We had a lovely weekend. The cottage kept us warm and cosy in an evening of wet and windy weather, and the next day we were walking along the beach in the early autumn sunshine! Great location near the beach.

Lovely seaside cottage

We had a lovely stay in the little yellow cottage. Location was perfect for enjoying the seaside and visiting family and friends. The kitchen was well equipped, beds comfortable, living room cosy. The window nook was a lovely place to enjoy coffee and a book. Steps away from the beach. Would recommend!

Its an incredibly sweet house in an amazing location. The town is very lovely and might even be the most beautiful of the towns on this part of the coast. The people there are extremely lovely as well. Would definitely recommend

Not good to stay in winter

The cottage smelled musty when we walked in it was damp and the paint was flaking off the walls downstairs upstairs was lovely comfy beds nice bathroom but downstairs needs upgrading chairs and sofa uncomfortable kitchen small no instructions for using appliances the stairs a really steep and needed to duck everytime we came down and im not that tall great location plenty of places to eat and drink We left early as it was so damp and uncomfortable disappointed and will not be going back

November girls weekend away

We thought the property was beautiful. Very cosy, clean and comfortable. We were fortunate that the weather was particularly nice for November, we even managed a dip in the channel....not for the faint hearted. Would definitely recommend. Only downside was no private parking space, but with £5 a day charge in the adjacent car park it wasn't a problem for us for a couple of days.

Great small House by the Sea

Great small house with stunning sea view. Very clean, cozy and warm, with everything you could need. Good quality bed linen, bath towels and modern kitchen and appliances. The house is Excellent for a family with loads of beautiful places to visit nearby. October 2020

Summer in yellow cottage

Great swim daily and close to cafes and restaurants. Loved view from windows of sea.

Beautiful cottage the seaside is right outside the doorway. We had a brilliant Christmas stay with our two young children. The cottage is cozy and has everything you need including high chair and stair gate. We enjoyed walking along the beach to lower leas park with the kids, it's all flat so very buggy friendly and relaxing in the window seats looking out to sea. Would love to visit the cottage again. Definitely recommend this property."

"We recently stayed here with our two granddaughters during the school half term holiday. Having previously lived in the area, we were familiar with Sandgate and were also aware of the parking restrictions, but there was always space available either on the seafront or in the adjacent car park. Yes, Sea View Cottage is an old building, but it oozes character and is warm & cosy with all the homely comforts you would need. It's in a great location for walks along the beach as well as visiting local tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate in returning again in the future."
