We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Spezia. The location was excellent with easy access to the railway station and coastline. Our hosts were very understanding as our trains were constantly running late and were there to greet us and explain the city to us.Thank you, we had a marvellous time.

The apartment was perfect for 4 of us, and in a very accessible area of La Spezia. It is very new inside but still charming. The air conditioning in the rooms was amazing and really helped us recharge after full days of sightseeing. The apartment was perfectly cleaned and very tidy. Marica and her husband gave us a very thorough run through of the local area and how to get around, and the information was really helpful. I would recommend any of my friends who visit the region to stay here. Thank you so much Marica!!

We had to take the key with us that also worked the electricity so we couldn’t charge our computers or put anything in the fridge unless we were in the property. So we didn’t buy anything for the fridge as it turned the electric off when we left. Since there was onlyone key we had to coordinate w the other couple at all times to enter property. The photos online made the property appear much larger. The living/dining area is very small.

You didn't understand how the key card works, so much so that you didn't even think to turn the switch on when you got back. Turn off the power, but not the refrigerator and appliances. If you'd asked clarification on this, among the thousand questions you asked, it would have been clearer. This is probably your first trip? You had the whole night to charge your phone and laptop while you were at home. Regarding the size of the house, the listing specifies that it's 50 square meters. The dining area can seat up to six people; just move the table.

A pleasant apartment in a great location

The hosts -- husband and wife -- met us in the square near the apartment. We thought we might be lost, but there they were! I have never had a greeting that friendly at any VRBO property. They took us up to the apartment -- one flight of stairs (or was it two?) up from the street -- and gave us a wealth of information about La Spezia, the Cinque Terre, and another place that had not been on our list named Portovenere. The husband speaks English and French (as well as Italian of course) and strongly encouraged us to visit Portovenere. We were very glad we did. (If you decide to visit Portovenere, look for the "01" ferry line at the docks.) The apartment has two bedrooms -- we used only one -- plus a nice kitchen -- we used the refrigerator to chill water -- and a functioning bathroom. The hosts very kindly allowed us to extend checkout by 90 minutes so that we could store luggage before finding our way back to the train station. There are numerous fine (but not expensive) restaurants nearby, a choice of good cafes for morning coffee or rolls, and several good gelato places. La Spezia was one of my favorite stops on our travels across Italy. Our time at Le Nereidi made our visit that much more enjoyable.

Nous avons passé 8 jours à explorer La Spezia et ses environs par train et par bateau, logées dans un charmant appartement tout confort idéalement situé entre la gare et le port, sur la rue piétonne.
