perfect location

The property was very clean, and communication was easy. We loved the location as it was not far from anything, and the Beach was the perfect setup for our family.

We had a wonderful stay at Gary's beach home! Wood Neck Beach is our favorite Upper Cape beach, and it was such a pleasure being just a few minutes walk away. We also took full advantage of being so close to the bike trail to do a lot of biking. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. We definitely hope to come back in future years!

This bright, spacious and comfortable house has everything you might need for a beach vacation. Family-friendly Woodneck Beach is easy to get to by foot or bike. The bike path is less than a mile away, making it easy to get to Falmouth town center (for shopping and food), as well as Woods Hole (WHOI science museum, restaurants, and ferry). Of course, you can drive to these places too, but... why???

The house was in the perfect spot for us to visit our favorite beach-WoodNeck. The kitchen/eating area was great for all of us. Sitting out front under the trees was very relaxing while the kids ran around.

Wonderful location and outstanding amenities

The house had all we needed for our family of 5 including the beach gear as well! Location was great as well. So happy we spent a month here. The only thing that could do with an upgrade are the mattresses but all in all, this place was wonderful! Thanks for everything!

We had a wonderful month at this very well located, spacious and attractive home. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the master bedroom is spacious with a very comfortable bed, the bath has a great shower, and the living room is spacious and comfortable. The area is beautiful with a rocky beach in walking distance. Woods Hole and downtown Falmouth are nearby, both are so New England charming. Gary, the owner, was so gracious and easily reached for questions. We look forward to returning to this lovely property.

Perfect Cape Cod Retreat

The home is located in the most desirable spot in Falmouth. Tucked away in the heavy Cape woods close to Old Silver beach, Woods Hole and downtown Falmouth. The design and appointments in the home allowed my family to spread out an be comfortable. I would stay in this home again and again. The owner sent us a text message to welcome us, checked in on us 1 time during the week and said goodbye at the end. Thank you Gary for your hospitality wonderful home. Best wishes to you!

Sweet spot

We have a soft spot for Woodneck Beach from our childhood in Falmouth so this house was the perfect spot for us. Easy to walk to the beach to float in the river or watch the sunset. The house is simply furnished and has everything you need, including a great outdoor shower. It's also pretty close to the bike path (a few mins ride to get there on the regular road which is a little narrow and winding) so we were able to easily ride our bikes to Woods Hole. Owner was very kind and checked in by text a couple times to see that we had everything we needed.

Clean, well equipped home for enjoying Cape Cod

We had a great, no-hassle week at this quiet split level ranch set back in the woods. There was plenty of room to park our cars and kayak trailer. We took full advantage of the spacious eat-in kitchen, walk out slider to the deck, and outdoor shower. It was a very hot week and we really appreciated the air conditioning. Gary was in touch when we arrived and provided good information about the house. So why not five stars? Of the three bedrooms, only one had a place to unpack clothes - a stack of sliding baskets. Shelves or drawers would have been very welcome. The dining table chairs would benefit from cushions. It was uncomfortable to linger over meals. The sports lovers were quite disappointed that the cable TV was so basic that we couldn't catch any of the Red Sox games during the week. The lighting was uneven and couldn't be adjusted - dim in the living room and glaringly bright in the dining area. These are small quibbles, though. If you are a group of two families with kids I expect this house would suit you fine. Spend the money on the Falmouth beach pass and enjoy the beaches!

Hello, thank you for staying with us and happy to hear that you enjoyed Falmouth. We are addressing the lighting in the living room. We have economy save lights there, but have decided to add floor lamps. Also we are adding more sliding baskets to the other two rooms to accommodate the unpacking of clothes if guests prefer those over the clothes hangers in the closets. We are looking into cushions for the dining room chairs and when we find appropriate ones we will add those. As for the cable-- that is being reviewed as well--apologies that you missed the Red Sox games! Thank you for your constructive feedback and for choosing to stay with us! no curtains or shades in 2 bedrooms . upstairs bathroom had water pouring thru AC vents into bathroom when it rain making it unusable & dangerous. Owner admitted he had known about if. Fire alarms went off several times in the middle of the night. Turned out to be the extremely old dryer in the basement which also stopped working & could not be replaced in time before we left. Downstairs showed drain overflowed when it rained outside. so the shower was unusable at times..

We are so sorry (again) to read your review. As we shared in depth with you: Storm Elsa came through on the Cape and we were not the only ones impacted, the dryer dying this was out of our control as well and the alarms going off that made it the perfect storm. All unprecedented events-this has never happened over the past years. We have since installed blinds in the kids bedrooms, the 75 prior guests that we have had did not mention this, but we get it that you wanted the room to be dark for the kids to sleep. Since the room is on the second floor and at tree height level we didn't have blinds prior but now we do, you were the guest and we wanted to listen to your feedback. When we tried to get the plumber in/the repair service you declined the service so we could not enter the house and you said to do the repairs when you left. We offered laundry pick up, wash, dry and fold service and you declined that as well. On the first day when you reported the leak (that Sunday the second day that you were here) we offered you a full refund. You declined and chose to stay the week. We tried with a personalized Cape Cod basket sent to you the house. We thought that the early check in and late check out would have eased a little bit. Very very sorry as you can see we have had good reviews and we understand you point of view. Client Service is our professional background and we want our guests to be happy. We did not mean for any of this to happen and we know that this is the first time that you have experienced such an ordeal. We are so very sorry we did all that we could. We wish you and your family the very best.

A little piece of paradise! The house was beautiful and in a spectacular neighborhood.

First and foremost, the host is very welcoming and delightful who provided guidance on sites for outdoor family members, and responded quickly to all inquiries. My family included 6 adults 2 children under 21/2. The house provided so many amenities, to name a few - kayaks, games, Foos ball , air hockey, pool table, not to mention beach which 5 minutes away, 3 minutes if you bring your bikes. The house was so beautiful and so spotless with an enormous kitchen 2 1/2 baths, beautiful deck, 3 great size bedrooms, outdoor shower, Smart TV which you can stream your account. It exceeded our expectations and we are looking to make a return visit sometime soon. Truly it

Great place in Falmouth!

We enjoyed our stay. The furniture was comfortable, and the kitchen was spacious enough for four adults to be fixing meals at once. We appreciated the communications with Gary and loved how clean the place was.

Everything was great. Its walking distance to woodneck beach, so its great for families with young kids. The house was also clean and everything worked.

Great for family

This owner was responsive, gracious and helpful. Home was well suited for our family of 4. Enjoyed privacy of back porch and accessibility to beach. Large kitchen offered great space for food prep and family meals at home. Nice, clean and practical home.

Great spot near kid-friendly beach

Great week at a great location. We enjoyed our stay very much! One note: the split level stairs inside off of the family room make it a little tough with toddlers, but we made it work with some short- term baby proofing. Would definitely recommend!

Clean, well equipped and efficient home away from home.

Loved the out door shower! I guess it's a novelty so that's where we showered every day after the beach. It's nice to have the kitchen off-set from the bedrooms. We were able to play board games and cards at the kitchen table without interfering with the sleeping kids. Plenty of bathrooms too. We were all able to set up our toothbrushes and personal items for each family. There are at least 3-4 beaches all within a 10 minute drive from the house, so very convenient. And some you can just pay for the day at the gate. The from yard was good for playing ball, badminton, or frisbee. Back yard deck is quiet for reading and relaxing. The deck also has a super gas grill, an upgrade from my own house. There is a play room with air hockey and ping pong table etc...but the weather was so nice we spent most of our time outside. Also a nice touch was the washer and dryer in the cellar for when you run out of clean clothes. If your considering this property, just do it. We went sight unseen and took a chance and we loved it. Don't miss out on a wonderful vacation.

I highly recommend this vacation rental

I highly recommend this vacation rental! The location is Primo, close to the bike path and the beach, and very easy to get to from Boston. The house was very well appointed, I cooked a number of meals in the kitchen and had everything I needed tool wise. The beds were very comfortable, and there was ample space in the living room and the play area for kids. We had a very rainy day there and enjoyed just hanging out at home because the house was so inviting.

Great location!

This property was centrally located to all the beaches, woods hole, and grocery stores. The host, Gary, made himself very available and checked in and answered any questions very promptly.

Great place to stay for your vacation

The property was well kept and clean. The owner kept checking in with us to make sure everything was going well and if we needed anything. Short ride/walk to beach very convenient location

Wonderful, inviting home away from home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this pristine Falmouth home. The serene decor was beautiful and calming. The large eat-in kitchen was well-equipped, and perfect for our meals together, while we enjoyed the woody view in the backyard. We loved hiking "The Knob" which was only a few minutes drive away. We cannot wait to return again soon!

A wonderful experience! a perfect get a way!

your home is beautiful immaculate and comfortable. I love your spacious and bright kitchen! Only 7 minutes away from great hiking, for young and old, with incredible views. your home is in a lovely quiet neighborhood with a beautiful backyard. loved every minute spent there.

Amazing!

The house and the location was PERFECT! The kids loved the beach and the house was so conveniently located that we could ride our bikes or walk. It also was so close to the rail trail, that as a runner, it was very easy to get to from the house. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get away with friends of family! Would definitely rent this house again!

We are a Cape/Falmouth loving family :) have been visiting Falmouth for almost 20 years and decided to buy a home here and share it with others who love the area.

This property is peaceful, we think it is gorgeous and with the recent renovations (and more to come!) we enjoy every inch of it! Our spacious kitchen makes it so easy to cook, entertain, serve friends :) and then sit outside and enjoy the deck and gas grill. There is great bird watching from our newly renovated deck as we are surrounded by woods in the backyard. We have a play room for kids and a lovely spacious living room, cable and wi-fi included.
The property sits away from the road (perfect for kids!) and we are constantly upgrading the outside, planting, rock walls etc.
We are very concerned about cleanliness and allergies and take good care to make sure that our guests feel comfortable to feel at home in our well kept home.
Please join us, and share in our wonderful experience with our home and of course Little Sippewissett Marsh and Wood Neck Beach! We welcome suggestions for upgrades and changes as well. Best of luck with your search in the amazing Falmouth area!

Recently renovated. 3 spacious bedrooms; upgraded bathroom on the second floor; second bathroom on the first floor off the kitchen; 1/2 bath off the entrance; playroom for kids (and grown ups too!); outdoor shower; woods at the back of the house make it conducive for bird watching; 6 minute walk to Wood Neck Beach and Little Sippewissett Marsh; 7 minutes drive to: Falmouth Center, Woods Hole, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket Ferry.

You MUST hike "The Knob" just drive down Sippewissett road as if you are heading to Woods Hole and. FALMOUTH — During the War of 1812, residents of the village of Quissett went to great lengths to obscure the presence of their lovely protected cove from British warships sailing past on Buzzards Bay. According to the Woods Hole Historical Society, foliage was used to camouflage ships, and treetops were lashed to masts to disguise the existence of the harbor and its shipbuilding and saltworks operations.
It’s 200 years on, and every day hundreds of summer interlopers take Woods Hole Road past this lovely slice of Falmouth that sits halfway between downtown and the Steamship Authority terminus at Woods Hole, where visitors ferry across the sound to Martha’s Vineyard. The vast majority of them drive right past the turn for Quissett Harbor, unaware of the tiny village and the 12-acre nature preserve that was established there nearly 40 years ago. At the end of this short, easy to do, beautiful hike-you will discover a breath taking view. Stop and have a dip in buzzards bay too :).
