We loved everything about our stay here except for one issue. The book described a trail to take to a local pub. We followed the instructions and used a map on the wall but the trail did not exist. We got lost in some pastures and stuck in a lot of mud and then had to walk back along the narrow road and carriageway in the dark. We tried to see where we went wrong the next day and still couldn't find the trail. Aside from that adventure it was a perfect stay. Beautiful location, lovely cottage, fun hot tub, great location for exploring the lake District. Highly recommend, but use caution trying to follow the "trail"!
