Overall, the cottage is decent and situated in a nice, traditional market town with access to local amenities and road connections for further destinations.
My only suggestion to the owner is to consider the varied needs of a family away from home and equip the property slightly better (cooking utensils, cutlery, local travel guides). The coffee machine was nice but sadly didn't work for us. Having said that, the dishwasher and tablets provided were appreciated.

Disappointed!
Beautiful building but its been cheaply and poorly decorated in every room and not in keeping with the style of the property.
The bedrooms are souless and the ensuite was a poorly converted airing cupboard to a shower (no toilet) and water came through the ceiling when the shower came on. In all 3 rooms there was ONE bedside table and the lamp in one room didnt work. The bedding and pillows were good quality. The carpet on the stairs and landing was hard and cheap. The main bathroom had a lovely bath which was the highlight of the property for me. The kitchen was nice but poorly stocked and dirty and 2 out of 4 light bulbs had blown. Dining room table and chairs cheap and plastic. Garden was beautiful but probably hasnt been attened to in over a year so everything was overgrown with leaf litter everywhere and a few cigarette butts. Fairy lights up which was a nice touch but none with batteries or working!
We've stayed in alot of cottages and older properties and expect spider webs and dust but this property was just dirty and horribly decorated. Just a cheaply done up money maker.
Good for family not spending much time in property!

Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re sorry to hear you experienced a few issues during your stay, but we’re glad to address them. We’ve spoken with the owner and are happy to confirm that the shower has been fixed, and the garden has been well-maintained throughout the summer. The kitchen remains well-equipped, just as described in the listing.
Regarding the décor, we understand that tastes vary, but the owner has taken your comments on board and added more pictures to make the space feel more personal. For the smaller rooms, their size can make it tricky to create a homely feel without adding unnecessary clutter, but we strive to keep them functional and comfortable.
Overall, we find that most guests are happy with the property, and we do our best to ensure the online listing and photos accurately reflect the facilities and style of the home. We hope you had an enjoyable stay overall, and we’d love to welcome you back in the future!
All the best,
The Stay in Suffolk Team
