The apartment was very clean, well located well furnished and well appointed. Just a small niggle because we were there for two weeks……the front door needs a heavier blind as it’s reflected in the TV until the sun goes down. We loved the village atmosphere of the little shopping strip round the corner.

We wanted a comfortable place for two seniors within easy walking distance of the railway station, shops, restaurants and all the sights of York, and this rental was perfect in every way. The location could not have been better and we appreciated that the flat was on the ground floor with no stairs. The fact that the bathroom was an ensuite was very handy for us although we recognize it could be awkward for parties of 4. The apartment was clean and comfortable and the self checkin was easy. Wi-Fi was good and reliable. Since we had no problems, we can't really speak to the responsiveness of out host but all questions were answered promptly both before and during our stay.Just two small comments for improvement. 1. The kitchen was very well equipment except for no frying pan. We managed fine without but it would have been convenient.2. My husband felt a shower mat or adhesive floor stickers would have been nice in the shower as he found it was slippery when wet. I had no problems, and he never slipped but he felt a little insecure. These are small issues and did not affect our enjoyment. If we ever return to York, we would certainly plan to come back.
