Everything was great except the listing says it has a hot tub as an amenity, and I expected like an outdoor hot tub Jacuzzi, but there was none. Other than that everything was great, easy to find, easy to get to town, lots of room.
The best helpful communications with the unit owner! She readily answered my call and gave great directions upon request. We only needed one night's stay and she was very accommodating. Nice, specious unit, very clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Great washer and dryer! Internet and TV were outstanding. Great kitchen for preparing meals. Great location for activities and parking at unit. I'd recommend staying there.
The property was a great size and so are the rooms.
Local to the town centre.
There was parking but not always outside or in view from the property.
The only negatives I have are:
The beds (especially in the main/big) are very uncomfortable. All the beds and mattress need replacing completely.
It was quite expensive based on 3 nights for 2 adults and a baby. I appreciate that it can accommodate 8 people but maybe a reduced price based on how many guest are staying if not full capacity.
This property listing is deceptive. The property is not "in" town. It is a mile away on a rundown street. On site parking is primarily on the street and becomes scarce in the evening. In addition, the bathroom is full of mould that has been painted over but is still very much visible. The beds are so cheap and thin that you can count the springs. The place very much feels like it has been hastily “flipped” as we say in the US to attempt to make quick money. We have traveled over 6 weeks in Scotland over the last 3 years and this is the worst of the apartments we’ve stayed in. It does have plenty of space and the laundry machines work well. But I cannot recommend this apartment.
