The space
Characterized as a listed building by Archaeology, with a rich history during the Venetian occupation, as it was in 1869 and the country house of the Turkish Cretan Aga Ali Vafi.
Ali Vafis Villa offers you comfort and luxury with the sole aim of making your days in Crete unforgettable!
The interior of the stone-built two-storey Villa, can accommodate up to 5 people, is 125 sq.m and has a master bedroom with an internal bathroom and balcony on the first floor, a second bedroom with two single beds on the ground floor, a sofa bed, a second bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, dining room, a / c and satellite TV in all rooms and free high speed wifi.
Outdoor Area
But what will really take your breath away is the outdoor area equipped to embrace ultimate relaxation and offering amazing, panoramic views of the sea and mountains. More specifically the outdoor facilities include:
- One private indoor plungle pool.
- A 5 seater hot tub
- A variety of furnished spots for relaxing on the terrace, featuring bean bag loungers, chairs and tables.
- Shaded veranda with sofa and direct access to the pool.
- Shaded pergola including an outdoor barbecue, a sink, dishes and utensils and a large outdoor dining table.
- Additional outdoor dining area.
- The whole outdoor area is fenced and has a private entrance with a gate, offering 100% privacy to our guests.

The founder - Manousos, whose mother was one of the initiators of the Holiday Villas institution in Crete, is a Tourism Management graduate who has been involved in the vacation rental industry for 20 years.
Having worked in his family business, Villas Lefkothea, and at Pepi Boutique Hotel as a Front Office Supervisor for many years, he recently began adding more villas/apartments to his portfolio.
His main concern is to enable the owners make the most of their property and the clients have a well-rounded accommodation experience.
Rentado has the full management of all the rental accommodation it represents, knowing the area they are located very well so it can serve as your during your stay.
Rentado incorporates only selected accommodation on its platform which have previously been evaluated as to the high quality of accommodation and services they provide.

Maroulas is a quiet village situated on the heights above Rethymno, Crete, facing the sea at an altitude of 150 metres and surrounded by greenery, a spring and several valleys.
In 1980, Maroulas was listed for its historical monuments but also for some of its houses including Villa Maroulas, the best option for your stay here.
Among its rich historical heritage, visitors can discover important remains of ancient tombstones dating back to antiquity, two wonderful Venetian towers one of which is 44 meters high, a Byzantine church dedicated to the Ascension, a more recent church dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and lastly a small chapel with iconostasis which adorns the small village square.
The olive groves and presses of Maroulas were very important for the local economy therefore one of the presses is connected to the great Venetian tower.
During the first Venetian invasions, the middle-class houses of Maroulas were used as second homes or agricultural warehouses by the nobility of Rethymno.
