Pear Tree Lodge consists of a studio layout with double bed, and open-plan living space with kitchen containing Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dining seating for four, and a sitting area with TV and woodburning stove. There is a mezzanine twin (zip/link can be super-king-size on request) along with a shower room. Outside there is an enclosed raised balcony with furniture and non-enclosed lawn with mature trees, plus off-road parking for one car. Within 1.2 miles or less you will find a shop and a pub, and please note this is a smoke-free property. One well-behaved dog welcome. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels included in the rent. Town: The ancient market town of Langport lies at the heart of the Somerset levels, at the crossing point of the River Parrett, mid-way between the county town of Taunton and Yeovil. Its central location makes it a thriving hub for local villages and an ideal base to explore the surrounding area, as well as the Somerset Levels, one of England’s most unchanged Landscapes. The ancient beauty and diverse wildlife of the area makes it one of the landscapes that have inspired many artists and photographers as well as drawing visitors from all over the world. The surrounding countryside teeming with pretty villages and quiet country lanes with footpaths and cycle trails to explore the picturesque Somerset Levels. Somerset is rich in wildlife and is one of the country’s top areas for birdwatching. It also offers a heritage railway, where visitors can take a trip on longest standard gauge line in the country.
