My family of 5 stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every minute of it! Judi and Nuel were amazing hosts that were more than accommodating. We took the Duffy boat out every night we were there. The kids really enjoyed paddle-boarding, canoeing, and swimming right around the corner to the playground. Really couldn't ask for a better stay!

Wonderful hosts! We had a lovely time staying here! Duffy rides, paddle boarding, kayaking, and a gorgeous patio on the water. Best trip ever!

Judi and Nuel are amazing hosts and the Duffy is such a great value with the stay. Great location with lots of access to good restaurants, stores, parks and the beach. Another amazing stay!

Location is amazing, and the boat/toys were so fun! Owners were very welcoming and helpful. We had everything we needed for our short stay. The setup was a bit awkward, since owners living area overlooks the patio....but we enjoyed the outdoor space very much regardless. The washer/dryer was not located in our unit, which would have been an issue if we had a longer stay. Overall we had an amazing time!

Judi and Nuel were very kind, flexible, and friendly… It was so nice to have access to the boat and paddle boards. We had a great time on the back patio. I would’ve appreciated a cutting board and small oven/cooktop instead of a full size dishwasher but there’s room to add that if they want to later. Other wise the unit was fully stocked.Fabulous location to beach, restaurants, and bars.

We had a fantastic stay here and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hosts were welcoming, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish.The location was hard to beat. We loved being able to hop on the Duffy and cruise over to Balboa Island, and it was also just a short walk to the beach, shops, and great restaurants. The bikes were a fun bonus and made it easy to explore the area.The home itself was cozy, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax after busy days out enjoying Newport, Disney, and the San Diego Zoo. We especially loved sipping our morning coffee on the patio with a beautiful water view, which made the start to each day feel extra special.Overall, this place had everything we needed and some great family memories were made here. We would absolutely stay here again and are so thankful to Judi for sharing this wonderful place! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Newport Beach getaway.

the host, Judy and her husband, were super nice and friendly. they instasled a baby gate for us so we wouldn't worry about our toddler falling down the stairs. The boat is a huge bonus and was really pleasant to ride.

Great location in close proximity to beach, shopping, and marina. Lots of opportunities for water activities and the ability to use to the Duffy boat throughout the stay absolutely was the highlight of our weekend. Big shout out to the lovely and accommodating hosts as well!

Sadly, this property is misrepresented on VRBO. It states that it is an “entire home”, but the reality is that it is a self contained upstairs unit in the owners home. The patio in the first cover photo is a patio outside the owner’s kitchen/living area which is in use by them so it is not at all a private space (which the use of the term “entire home” would indicate). The Duffy boat (which is the main attraction of the property) runs on electric, but the gauge is stuck on “charging” and I’d advise clicking on the worst reviews to read the consequences of this, so we were anxious about using it. The advert says the property is “beachfront - enjoy direct access to the sand and sea” but it is a few blocks from the beach and sand. There are no windows water facing. There was a power cut x2 when tried to use the toaster. The amenities list a “washer/dryer in garage” but it should really say “access to owner’s washer/dryer in owners garage downstairs”. The bed sheets of the sofa bed were stained and not changed from previous user. The photo of the bbq with the neighbours’ garden must be historic as the view is very different now. Theowners are lovely and hospitable, but the fact remains that the property is misrepresented. These aspects, like the lack of privacy, might not be a concern to some, hence the generally good reviews but had it been accurately advertised then one would have had the choice after being fully informed. I personally wouldn’t have booked it with my children.

This was literally one of our best vacations ever! The location to the beaches was prime. Having the use of the boat and water toys was so much fun. We will definitely be back!

I stayed here for 4 days with my husband and 15 year old son. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve had in a while. Keep in mind this is not ocean front but is incredibly close walking distance to the ocean. The unit is upstairs from the main living area. Totally separate entrance. The unit itself doesn’t have a view but the patio on the canal is all yours. I drank coffee every morning out there with zero issues. In fact, we loved chatting with Nuel and asked for advice on the best places to visit in the area. We also had use of the Duffy and had a blast on it. Granted we are familiar with boats and how to operate them. It’s electric so make sure it’s charged before leaving. You are right around the corner from The Alley, a very yummy restaurant. Also right around the corner from a donut place that was quite delicious as well. We had a car rental but found it easier to walk or Uber places. The best part of the unit is the location in my opinion. The beaches nearby are less crowded than some of the other beaches. If you’re looking for a laid back, relaxing trip; this is the place for you. I also recommend taking the ferry to Balboa Island. Just walk on (it’s only 2). When you get there, rent a golf cart and cruise the island. We had an absolute blast doing this.We would definitely stay here again.

He has just renovated his 33 ft, trawler and would love you to see it or go on a boat ride with him. We have been married for ever and love it here in beautiful Newport Beach on the bay.Love to watch the gondolas and swimmers go right by the patio. The bay in our back yard is as good as it gets anywhere in the world. We walk to restaurants, movies, and of course on the sand to watch the sunset. Our property is newly decorated in a vacation beach theme and I am certain you will love it. Have fun here and make some lasting memories.We have 2 bicycles.2 paddle boards 2 boogie boards. beach chairs, a basketball and a ride in our boat for our guests and maybe even their friends. Have fun in the sun right here in beautiful Newport Beach California. The duffy boat and patio and all the toys are for your use only while you are here. The boat is really quite easy to drive and fun too.
