A large, immaculate and stylishly converted old farm building set in calm and gentle rolling Suffolk countryside. A high wooden beamed vaulted ceiling and perfectly polished real oak Parquet floor throughout creates a precision, organic and rural feel to this luxurious space. From large folding doors both the kitchen/dining area and bedroom face into a private terraced and lawned west-facing courtyard with views over the adjacent field to create the ultimate in-out dynamic. With doors closed, heating on and log burner lit, The Milking Parlour becomes the perfect snug to retreat to after exploring the astonishing variety of the nearby Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ground Floor Kitchen & Dining Area – Through the front door is the dining area with a beech wood dining table and four matching chairs with views through the large folding doors. Adjacent is a fully equipped modern kitchen with island and three bar stools, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, full sized fridge freezer, kettle and toaster. Utility Room – Separate washing sink, storage, washing machine and pully drying rack clothes airer. Seating Area – Matching sofa and arm chair are orientated around a brick fireplace and chimney breast flanked by tall windows with views over the garden. A modern log burner throws out buckets of heat next to a 32” Smart TV in the corner. Bathroom – Large freestanding bath, walk-in power-shower, double hand basins and lavatory. Bedroom – King-sized bed with matching bedside tables against a freestanding internal wall behind which is a wardrobe and dressing table with mirror. Outside Wood Fired Hot Tub – Available 365 days a year, this fantastic modern designed KolKol wood fired hot tub heats up far faster than conventional wood-fired tubs via a stainless steel stove. Perfect for alfresco soaking in all seasons. PLEASE NOTE: this wood fired hot tub has a wonderful organic off-grid feel, though unlike electric ones it doesn’t work instantly (there is no flick of a switch!) and it doesn’t have jets. It requires regular feeding with wood and stirring and takes a couple of hours to get to temperature depending on how warm or cold the ambient air is, though it’s fun to use and is very relaxing. There is an additional charge for its usage that is arranged after a booking is made and within two weeks of check-in (details will be shared). For weekend or midweek stays the usage charge including a full clean and the provision of sufficient special briquettes (approximately 35) is £99 with each subsequent day being £33 which includes approximately 10 further briquettes (a full week charge being £198). Only supplied briquettes to be used, and if more are required they can be provided for approximately £1 each. Courtyard Garden – A neatly laid lawn has paving on two sides and a raised railway sleeper flowerbed on a third. In one corner are two reclinable chairs, a small table, some potted olive trees. Being west facing the courtyard captures the light until sunset and provides views over meadow and surrounding countryside beyond. EV Charger – Located behind the Milking Parlour and available on request.

An absolutely wonderful place to stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Milking Parlour. It’s such a beautiful property that’s been finished off to the highest standard. It was a joy to have such a large bathroom with a lovely roomy shower too. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

Five* The Milking Parlour!
We found the Milking Parlour to be an excellent property for our visit to Suffolk. The owners were friendly and helpful and cleanliness and comfort were obviously a high priority. The open plan kitchen, dining and living areas were well designed and there was also a very comfortable bed and efficient shower. The accommodation was ideally situated for visiting coast and country.

A charming and spacious cottage in a pastoral location
A charming and spacious cottage, well-equipped and tastefully designed. Surrounded by quiet rural landscapes, it provides the perfect base for a peaceful and restorative stay in Suffolk. Marion and Kevin were very helpful and friendly. The hot tub was a great addition; it is wood fired so requires some preparations but once you get the hang of it and after the water warms up, in the following days it gets easier to operate.

Excellent, clean, beautifully converted farm accommodation for two in beautiful Suffolk.
We enjoyed staying in the Milking Parlour. It was a large beautiful space for two people, but was made cosy with personal touches and cheery decor. The fittings were all of an excellent standard.. We enjoyed the outsides space with its pretty garden border and patio to relax in, watched only by our nearest neighbours of six friendly cows. We found plenty to do and explore.

Break at the Milking Parlour
Both of us had a very good short break at the Milking Parlour. It was very clean, comfortable and all the items for use were good quality. Very friendly cattle in the field behind and a good selection of wildlife including bats in the evening.

Complete privacy, with only the cows for neighbours!
This is our 2nd stay in this lovely cottage, which is inscrutibly clean, very well apointed, and totally private. It's close to the main house, but faces away into a lovely green field. You couldn't ask for a better place to relax and unwind.
