Pratola VRBO
The host ended up being extremely kind but we never received any communication or confirmation from the host after booking. Our rental was paid in full at the time of booking and we received confirmation from VRBO about our upcoming stay (address, etc) but no response from our host when I sent her a couple different messages. The day we arrived, we tried calling the host and got no answer but we randomly ran into her on the street near the rental. She apologized and said she was having issues with the baking aspect of her VRBO account and never received confirmation of our booking so the unit was already rented! She said she had another "vintage" apartment in town we could check out or another one in a nearby town, about 15 minutes away. We had been traveling all week and planned to meet family in Pratola, so we didnt want to stay outside of the town. The apartment was clean but on the 3rd floor with no a/c and it was over 90 degrees out and stifling hot in the rental. I would never choose to rent that apartment but we were tired and desperate so we decided it would work. I believe it was an honest mistake and we enjoyed ourselves visiting the small town but I would caution others to confirm your stay to make certain you don't get blindsided when you arrive in Pratola... Make sure the host is aware of your stay and if you don't hear back closer to your booked trip, I'd confirm with VRBO prior to your arrival. There aren't many other rental options in the town!
