If you are planning a big family celebration for a weekend away or longer, and are looking for somewhere that can accommodate up to 24 guests, here’s your ideal destination. We have two townhouses next to each other that are linked by a door in each of the kitchens. Between them, the 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms offer you plenty of luxury space in which to gather, catch-up and celebrate.

The entire property has recently been refurbished to a very high standard and is now ready to welcome big groups of discerning friends and family who perhaps want to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary, or a 50th or 60th birthday in style, close to the North Yorkshire coast.

OPEN PLAN LIVING ROOM / KITCHEN / DINING AREAS
You get two similarly comfortable and stylish lounge areas, each with room for 12 to sit and relax, maybe watch some television. You’ll have two kitchens too, connected by a door that links the two townhouses. So there’s plenty of space to store enough food to feed 24, plenty of appliances to cook and clean for you all, and all the cutlery and cookware a big group like yours will need.

And, if you have a big, celebratory meal planned, the dining area is big enough to house a huge table around which you can all gather for good times.

12 BEDROOMS
The house has 6 bedrooms with double beds and 6 bedrooms with 2 single beds, so it’s ideal for multiple generations of family and friends. Imagine the excited rush when you arrive as everyone picks their room and settles in! All of the bedrooms have comfortable beds with quality mattresses and bedding. There’s also a smart TV in each room (because getting up to 24 people to agree on the same thing to watch is virtually impossible). And each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, so there’s unlikely to be any delays when you’re all getting ready to go out.

12 BATHROOMS
As already mentioned, each of the bedrooms has its own ensuite bathroom. So there are plenty of showers and bath tubs for everyone to use when you’re preparing to go out or need to wind down after a long day exploring the delights of Scarborough and North Yorkshire. Your hosts will provide towels and toiletries for all guests to use during your stay.

OUTSIDE SPACE
Book your stay during the warmer months of the year, and there will be 2 hot tubs available for you to use. Such a great way to relax at the end of each day. Be sure to ask your hosts if the hot tubs will be available for your stay.

PARKING
If you’re planning on driving here, please us know how many cars you require permits for in advance and we can leave these inside the property ready for your arrival. These will allow guests to park outside the property and the surrounding area.

This 12 bedroom, 3-floor townhouse is located just a 5-minute walk from North Bay Beach in Scarborough. Walk another 5 minutes and you’ll reach the town centre where you’ll find a wide variety of shops, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and other entertainment, including a theatre. Below are a few other places some or all of your group might want to visit during your time here:

Relax in Peasholm Park
You’ll soon see why it’s one of Europe’s top-rated parks. It’s only a 2 minute walk from the house and features an Open Air Theatre.

The beaches
There are plenty of coastal resorts to explore, both here in Scarborough and further afield, such as Whitby.

Fun for all the family at Alpamere Waterpark
This is a great destination for a day out for those who like big waves and thrilling water rides.

Guests who plan to drive here can ask the hosts to arrange a parking permit which will let you park on the streets near to the house. But, being so close to the beach and the town centre, it’s easy to reach many of the area’s attractions on foot or by bike. There are also bus services in the local area, and your hosts can recommend the best taxi firms to use too. If you’re arriving by train, it’s not far from the station to the house. And you can catch services from the station to several major northern UK destinations including Bridlington, Liverpool and Sheffield.

Although this house is ideal for hosting large gatherings of friends and family, it is not suitable for loud celebrations. The property is located in a residential area and it’s vital that all guests respect the privacy of all neighbours and their right to peace and quiet.
