A good holiday home with amazing extras

Our first impression of the house was that it was small BUT it is really like the Tardis far far larger than it first appeared.10 minutes walk from board walk and an amazing beach 10 to15 minutes from marina and bridge to Lagos and restaurants

Nice, spacious villa near the sea

This villa is a very spacious and nice place to be. The garden is also lovely and the pool is a nice add-on. Some of the appliances, like the coffee machine, don't work flawlessly but all in all we've had a very good stay here. The location is great: a peaceful neighborhood but close to the beach and also in walking distance of the city center.

Fantastic Villa Meia Praia

We had an amazing time in Lagos at the Fantastic Villa. Our host Maria and her mama and Rosa were very quick at getting back to us if we had questions about how things worked. The villa is huge and clean. It was so close to everything. 5 minute walk to beach, 10-15 to Marina and 15 to Pingo Doce supermarket that has everything you need and more. I will recommend this to all my friends and family and hope to get back here next year. Thank you again for our wonderful stay! Donna xoxo

The best holiday we had in Portugal

We like to say many many thanks to Eugenia and to Maria Alice. We enjoyed our Holiday very much. Walking to the Ocean and to Lagos for sightseeing, nice Restaurants and the possibility for making activities without a car, was great for ist. The Trip with the Train to Faro was nice too. Comfortable Algarve villa near the ocean

This villa was comfortable for six people, at a very reasonable cost, and a great location, with a 5 min. walk to the beach and ten minutes from the old city. It felt secure, with off street parking in a quiet neighborhood, near the marina and train station. The villa doesn't have central heat but two portable heaters were provided that were definitely needed in mid-March. Communication with the on site host would have been easier had our Portuguese been better, but we were able to communicate with the owner via email.

Beautiful spacious villa near the biggest beach in Lagos. Relaxed atmosphere away from the business of the town and marina. There were some errors on the facilities list, e.g. hot tub, where there was none. The host Maria explained this was an error and promised to correct it. The booking account was hacked when we booked, so we were almost phished, but Maria acted rapidly. Some basic kitchen tools were missing (Garlic crusher and cheese grater). Unfortunately, Meia Praia is undergoing rapid development, so construction dust and traffic was irritating in our area. Other than the above, Maria was an amazing host, we were allowed to check in early, we literally had the large clean pool to ourselves the whole week. No aircon but fans were provided for the mini heatwave we experienced. A great villa if you wish to be away from the rat race.

Great house in Lagos

A great place to have a holiday. Its house is spacious, has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. With 3 terraces and a shared pool. Quiet location and close to the beach. The city and supermarket is a 20-minute walk away. On arrival mother of Eugenia was waiting for us showed everything and explained in Portuguese. Nespresso device was defective but this was solved right away. The only thing less for us were the beds they are very hard. Had a very good holiday! Thank you very much

Great location but very tired property

We stayed in this linked house for 3 weeks in January 2023 to live & work under bluer skies than the UK. The owner's Mother was pleasant and welcomed us. It is a great location and a short walk to Meia Praia beach with a lovely, well kept outside area which would be a great asset in the summer months and a roof terrace with a lovely view. Unfortunately the house is very dated and has no heating or air con. apart from some electric heaters which caused the electrics to trip if we used more than one at a time. The house felt permanently cold and damp and the 4'6" mattress was uncomfortable. The constant tripping even from boiling a kettle made it hard to work as we had to wait for the Wi Fi to reboot every time. We informed the owner of the issues and insisted an electrician visit. I told him through Google translate we felt the very old oven was probably causing a problem on the kitchen circuit but were told by the owner's Mother to cook on the hobs and not turn on too many electrical appliances at the same time! He performed no safety checks. Eventually we managed to work out a system to keep warm during the cold evenings and nights but were rather concerned about the general safety of the the electrics. For holidaymakers looking for a walkable location to Lagos centre who are happy to accept tired furnishings, old fashioned decor, will spend most of their time outside and eat out regularly it is fine. If this property is ever renovated it will be absolutely perfect.

Schönes Haus in bester Lage

Wunderschönes Haus mit riesiger Sonnenterasse in Stadtnaher aber ruhiger Lage. Wir haben uns dot sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, auch bei voller Besetzung mit 6 Personen würde nichts fehlen.

Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft bereits erwartet und freundlich begrüßt, Maria Alice hat uns alles erklärt,..auf portugiesisch, was wir leider nicht verstanden haben.Das Haus entspricht der Beschreibung und ist für für 4 - 6 Personen ausreichend.Die Doppelbetten sind etwas schmal.Die Küche war allerdings nicht so sauber,wie wir es uns gewünscht hätten.

Très bien situé

Nous étions à Lagos pour une semaine seulement. Nous aurions apprécié avoir un minimum, par exemple savon vaisselle, sel, poivre. Nous avons dû acheter les choses et laissé là. Il manquait de chauffage, nous avons eu froid. Mais malgré les inconvénients la région est magnifique, je retournerais sans hésitation au même endroit.

Hieno piha ja uima-allasalue

Kaikki oli muuten aivan kuin esitteessä, paitsi että saapuessamme oli vastassa ilmeisesti vuokraajan vanha äiti, joka osasi ehkä viisi sanaa englantia. Oli yllätys, koska kirjeenvaihto vuokraajan kanssa oli sujunut hyvällä englannilla. Emme oikein saaneet mitään irti portugalinkielisestä selityksestä! Mutta muuten kaikki ok. Loppua kohti (Marraskuu) alkoi kyllä yöt olla tosi viileitä eikä mitään lämmitystä käytössä.

Maison spacieuse et très bien située à proximité de la plage et à 10 minutes en voiture du centre de Lagos. Par contre, la literie mériterait d’être changées. Dommage que les chambres situées au nord sentaient l’humidité. Bonne communication avec la propriétaire
