Perfect stay for a perfect family weekend!
The cottage came with almost every thing you needed for a nice getaway. Situated minutes from town but secluded enough were we could enjoy the peace of more a more rural setting. Kids enjoyed seeing the deer and playing on the park like wooded property. Will recommend to others!
We had a great stay. Host was a pleasure to talk to. My little pups did not want to come home. It is so quiet and peaceful. She has a lovely place. Thank you for having us.
My husband and I were booked for 4 nights at Peaceful Cottage, prior to moving into our new home in Gainesville.
The cottage is eclectic, with 2 rooms and multiple sleeping arrangements.
Our dog loved staying here, as she was able to run safely around and play with us! We all enjoyed the quiet and the acreage of the place.
If you are looking for a quiet get away, I highly recommend it.
This is a clean, quiet, and peaceful place to stay in one of the most beautiful areas of North Central Florida. The inside looks and smells fresh with comfortable beds. The outside has a nice, covered area with seating and you are surrounded by a natural setting. A mother and baby deer greeted me on several outings. Susan is the commensurate host, kind, and an excellent communicator. Treat yourself right and stay here for your vacation.
Susan's cottage is in a wonderful Florida forest setting, such a peaceful place to sit on the patio and listen to the birds. An easy reach to Gainesville, where there are many museums, theaters, things to do. And right near some wonderful hiking trails and springs. We had a great time. While it can sleep a family with children, it worked even better for us as a couple. If you like northern Florida, you will love this place - and Susan is a great hostess, so fun to talk to, but leaves you alone unless you need something. I will miss this place.
My kids and I had a great time. 20 mins to UF 20mins to MANY springs. Cabin amenities were better than expected and the photos do not do it justice. So cute and clean. 3 twin beds and 1queen, 2 bathrooms and washer dryer and full size fridge on patio. We will def be back
The property is a little outside of Alachua, but close enough for quick runs to the store. The traffic and noise won't bother you at this cottage, but the critters just might, if you're lucky. It was enjoyable to be able to sit under the trees and just unwind, feeling the breeze and enjoying the morning tea. The kitchen had everything for basic cooking, and the house covered all your other needs. The only down side was the shower, my husband is 6'6" around 230lbs, so tall not wide and he barely fit, me being 5'5" and 150lbs, I fit but kept hitting my elbow on the facet handles, but we managed. We would stop here again if we're in the area, love the acreage, I could build a house and move in tomorrow, we loved the location that much.
My boyfriend and I got engaged early in the day before we checked in and this vacation was amazing! The scenery was beautiful, Susan was super sweet and we felt very safe and peaceful here. The bed was super comfy and the heaters worked great (it was 30-40 degrees). Nothing but pleasant things to say about this place!! Was a magaical weekend!
My sister and I stayed here with our 15 and 22 yr old kids. We came to experience the springs and the Santa Fe River. This cabin was perfect! Nice little kitchenette, two toilets and a shower, everything you could need inside, plenty of beds. We loved the huge outdoor living space! That's where we spent most of our time. Such a great place to hangout after a day of paddling. We will be back, thank you for a real good time!
Took my 12 year old daughter and her best friend along for a Ginnie trip with my best friend and me. This was the PERFECT weekend spot! The location was perfect and secluded with easy directions to the springs. Susan was the sweetest and the cottage had every amenity you could think of and more. From showers and a washer and dryer to a full kitchen, fire pit, and corn hole we were stacked with activities and games even when we were home. Can’t wait to visit again. Glamping at its finest. Thank you Susan ❤️
The location is nestled in a hardwood forested area surprisingly close to town. Close enough for delivery groceries! Susan provided a warm and gracious welcome and kept us informed as needed, like when the lawn service was on site at the main house.
The cottage is well appointed. It was a tight squeeze for us--which is exactly what we expected from the description. The bathrooms are well designed and the furnishings are more than adequate. We loved our stay and were sad to leave.
My wife and I were in town for a wedding and stayed here for two nights and it was perfect for what we needed. It was so quiet and relaxing. The place had everything we needed and more. Would definitely stay again/recommend.
It was a nice stay. One thing we couldn’t figure out was the AC. They are so high up that you almost can’t reach them. It was okay though since the weather was nice. It was quiet and we saw a lot of deer!

Lovely area minutes from Gainesville
We really enjoyed our stay in this quaint cottage. The setting amongst the oak trees was enchanting. The trip down the road to the property was definitely a trip thru old Florida. Susan was so kind when we got lost. She even came out to the road to meet us. great dinner in High Springs at the great outdoors restaurant. The drive to Gainesville to our daughters college apartment was not too far. We really enjoyed our time in the cottage in the oaks.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Very clean, well kept, and the bed was comfortable. We spent most our time in the springs. The owner is very kind and friendly. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Great Spot!
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in a nice location. Susan was very nice and checked in on us after arriving to give us a welcome and quick run-down of the property. There are decent trails on the property and we did locate several gopher tortoise burrows. The bird watching was also good.
I only have two complaints and both are minor and did not detract from our stay. First, the owners home is located directly in front of the cabin. The pictures and listing do not reflect this fact. The owners were in no way intrusive. In fact, except for our arrival date we never saw anyone. Only reason I mention this is because I had the impression the cabin was very secluded. Second, the wi-fi was very spotty and not really usable. Susan indicated she would figure out why. In the end the cell service was good enough that we didn't need the wi-fi so much.
Overall the place is great. The cabin is well appointed but note there is no oven. A couch would have been nice in the main room but at any rate we weren't there that much.
I would most definitely recommend this property! Thank you Susan.

Picturesque and comfortable
The cottage looked even nicer in person than in the ad. Nestled under the many trees, it was clean, quiet, nicely decorated and comfortable. We needed a place to rest and recover for a few days and Susan Cliett did everything to make our stay just what we needed. The home would sleep many more than the two of us, so you can bring your whole family or friends. We took time to walk around the grounds and enjoy the park-like setting.
