A large south facing apartment with UK television channels and free Wi-Fi

I was quite saddened to read your review, not because of the unkind comments you made about our apartment, but because you obviously didn’t have a great time in Lagos. It was unfortunate that Lagos went into lockdown just before you arrived and bars and restaurants were all closed during your stay. Lagos is usually a vibrant and lively place to spend Christmas and New Year with huge celebrations taking place in the Old Town, but unfortunately, they were cancelled this year due to Covid. You are quite right when you mentioned that one of the advantages of the apartment is its location and its nice views from the balcony. The view from the lounge is onto the balcony, which overlooks the pool. The apartment balcony is very private and not overlooked, and at night, the views across the bay towards the Old Town are spectacular. You mentioned cleanliness, but your comment was quite vague, so I’m unable to comment specifically. All I can say is that the apartment is professionally deep-cleaned every six months and thoroughly cleaned between guests. Many of my previous 4* and 5* star reviews mention how lovely and clean the apartment was when they arrived, so your comment about the cleanliness doesn’t quite ring true. Our property manager is fastidious about cleanliness, and in the 10 years that we have been renting out the apartment, yours is the first negative comment we’ve had regarding the cleaning. The apartment is decorated with a neutral palette with matching modern furniture, which most people prefer. I’m sorry the decoration wasn’t to your liking, but the apartment is tastefully decorated and stylishly furnished in a minimalistic style. It is not cluttered with ornaments, knick-knacks and our own personal effects and the photos on our website clearly show how the apartment is furnished. The apartment is huge and ideally suited to families who can appreciate the vast amount of space it has to offer. You mentioned that the sunbeds at the pool were all chained, which is true. These are dedicated sunbeds belonging to our apartment, and the reason they’re chained is to ensure that they’re always available for you to use. The code to unlock the padlock was emailed to you before your arrival, but if you had mislaid it, you could have asked for it again and I would’ve happily told you. On reflection, I sense you were disappointed that you chose to travel to Lagos when it was in lockdown, rather than with the apartment itself, which is a shame.
